Tea

"Psst."

"Psst."

"Psssst."

Isobel clenched her jaw and turned around in her seat. Her eyes were drawn in a glare. A very harsh glare. If looks could kill then they'd be six feet under with their soul floating on mars.

"You better be dying if you are willing to disturb me in the middle of a lesson." she hissed. Threat lacing her voice. It was clear that either it was something very important or the person was going to die a very painful death afterwards.

"Hi," he said in a cheeky voice.

And Jayden chose death.

"Miss Ferguson, can you tell us the major revolutionary difference brought by the technology in 1997." Mr Luoyang asked. Isobel's snapped forward. She was going to kill Jayden the moment the classes ended. It was good that she knew the answer or she'd be listening to a long long lecture by Mr Sun Luoyang the entire recess. Sun Luoyang was taking their Technology class today even though he was actually their history teacher.

"In 1997 a supercomputer named deep blue was completed which defeated the world chess champion. This was a major step towards A.I." she said. Convinced that she was paying attention to Mr Luoyang, she let her off and continued with the lesson.

[I'm better, of course.] Alex declared.

'You are better than every single system A.I. out there.' Isobel agreed. Alex puffed up in pride and went back saying something that it was going to get a huge raise in a couple of years with which it would upgrade and get transmigration jobs. Isobel was a bit sad that Alex would leave her but she was happy that Alex was looking up to the future.

The bell rang and Jayden stood up really fast and sprinted across the room. Isobel ran after him, she was going to kill the guy. "I'll drive a butter knife right through you!" she yelled after him. He yelled back a sorry but she wasn't going to leave him. This was the third class he had disturbed her in. Gym class; she didn't mind. In maths class, he opened the connection and loudly started yelling baby shark. After she closed the link off and told Alex to ask her for opening it again then he kept on hissing in the Tech class just to say 'Hi'. This was enough to warrant a death wish.

Jayden was going towards the cafeteria. Wrong move. She pumped her legs and ran a bit faster. When she was close enough she launched herself on Jayden making him fall flat on the floor with Isobel on top of him. She sat up and started yelling whacking his head. How was she going to be a valedictorian this year as well if they kept disappearing for missions and in classes this stupid, fool, absolute imbecile kept singing off-key Baby Shark?

"Ah! Get off of me, you banshee. This has to be harassment!" Jayden said. He looked at Ansel coming in through the doors with his best friend Tamaki.

"Help me!" he said. Both Ansel and Tamaki made their way to help Jayde but then Isobel turned her head to look at them. Her face was twisted in anger. "Chikusho!" Tamaki swore and pulled Ansel back. Scared by her anger they quickly looked away and went towards their table. They all sit together most of the days now. Other than Wednesdays.

'Yeah, some friends they were.' Jayden thought.

[Host. maybe killing him isn't such a good idea. You both have missions together.]

Isobel stopped mid-strike. Deciding against it she whacked him one more time and climbed off of him. "You'll behave yourself in classes Jayden Samuel Denton or I swear you'll be in no time sleeping in your coffin.

Jayden gulped and nodded. They both knew this would be in his mind for a couple of hours before he went back to how he always is. Idiot. What she was more concerned about was her explosive anger these days. She really lost herself and now her head was clear she realised that she took it a bit too far. Sure Jayden deserved a couple of hits but if they weren't in school and somewhere else she could have beaten him black and blue. Not just him, she could have hurt anyone. She nowadays only needed a little push and she was over the edge.

With a start, she realised anger was yielding her not the other way round. It was a bit concerning but maybe it was nothing. Just some adjustments to the missions and stuff. It will get better. It's not like she lost control every day. It will get better.

"I'm sorry, Jay," she said sincerely. Jayden who was now immune to women's foul temper smiled at her and wrapped his hand around her shoulder to lead her to the table. "If you are really sorry you'll help me with the history paper today after school.'' Isobel quickly agreed, drowned in guilt.

Ambre entered the room and dropped both of their stuff in front of them. "You both can thank me. Honestly, you fight more than my twin brothers. And they are seven... and twins." she said. Both of them hung their head in shame and muttered a sorry.

"Well, I see you both have my back," Jayden said, glaring at both Ansel and Tamaki. They both gave him a sheepish smile. "Self-preservation." they both said together making Jayden roll his eyes and Isobel snicker behind her hand.

"Are you sure they are not twins?" he asked.

Ambre smiled at him and shook her head. "A bit of nationality issue if you ask me." Both of them gave an offended noise. Isobel looked at Ambre and raised her eyebrow, smirking. She flushed under her gaze. Honestly, when was Jayden going to realize that miss baguette here had a thing for him. She was right now just going to sit back with a bucket of caramel and salted popcorn.

"About twins," Russell said, gaining their attention. "I heard of a rumour going around a bit. Wanted to confirm with our very own White pages," he said looking at Ambre. Aha, another ML.

Everyone turned towards Ambre who smirked. "Well the white pages confirm this rumour," she said rolling her teacup in her hand. Wait when did she get a teacup? Then she looked at Russell. He had one as well. Well if he was getting tea then he could have got one for everyone.

"Twins. Exchange students. Girls. Our year." she said. It was obvious she had more information but she was only telling them this. Everyone groaned at that. They all wanted to know but Ambre could take things to her grave. Something she admired and hated about her.

"I hate you." Isobel declared and this just made her smirk even more evil looking. Everyone shifted a bit away from her.

"Let's just say there will be some serious developments involved."
