"Well then, I have news."
Acelen straightened his body and brushed his overwear as he did. Bonnie turned her body towards him.
"News? Do tell." Bonnie said as her curiosity grew.
"Well, it's a bit of a shocker, considering you've only been here for a few days. What has it been? A week? Nonetheless, news spreads around here quickly." Acelen said nonchalantly.
Bonnie nodded as he continued.
"Well, I should just get straight to the point. I have never made an interest in a human let alone a female. I was always 'busy' with other things as such. My family, who's aware of this, seems to have taken an interest in this new 'female human' Who I've oh-so-suddenly made to live with myself." Acelen paused to take a breath.
'His-his family?!' Bonnie thought as a mental alarm went off in her head.
"They sent a request to meet you as soon as possible. And who am I to disagree with a mere meeting? But truth is, I don't have a choice in the matter anyway." Acelen continued.
"But...But I don't understand! They want to meet me?!" Bonnie spoke with misunderstanding.
"Mm." He said as he walked towards her yet again, and picked up her plate. Then he twisted his hand in a mini-circle and the plate disappeared. Bonnie didn't even notice as he did, because she was busy with her own thoughts.
"The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow brunch. The maids have already chosen your attire." Acelen said as he took his leave down the hall.
"Wait- Acelen! But-"
"Be ready, Orphan."
Bonnie watched as he walked down the hall and disappeared into the darkness. Bonnie couldn't help but drop her jaw at the mysterious intentions.
The maids arrived shortly after and bowed their heads to lead Bonnie back to her room for the night.
Bonnie changed into her sleep attire and tossed and turned most of the night. The thought of three more Acelen's terrified her.
...
With Bonnie's sleep, the morning came quickly. Unfortunately that same was not to have been said with Acelen. He stayed awake all night, all though this was not a struggle for strong-willed vampires like him, he spent the night thinking about what his parents could have possibly wanted. No- truth be told, he spent the night worrying. For Bonnie's sake.
Since she was in his care, he would not let any harm be brought to her. After all she is his price possession. She had the type of blood he oh-so craved. Yet, for some odd reason, he could not bring himself to forcefully take her blood. He could only wait.
In the morning, Acelen made his way to Bonnie's room. She was soundly sleeping as he watched over her.
Bonnie was dreaming, about the dream she always had. She was sat in a dark room with a chair only, and no doors. At first, she thought this dream- no- nightmare was real. It was so vivid. Now she knows it's just a night terror. All she can do is sit in a chair until she awakens. But something strange happened this time, a warning and visible aura-like smoke slithered its way in under the wall.
The purple-colored thing slithered around her body and stopped in front of her face. Although this was unusual, she wasn't scared. Not at all. The supposed "scary" aura had a warming feel. Slowly and gently, the aura caressed her cheek. She was finding comfort in this mysterious dream. How pathetic, she thought as she nuzzled up on the warmth.
Suddenly, she felt this rushing feeling in her bloodstream. Her heart was pounding out of her chest. In a moment, she shot up out of her sleep. Drenched in sweat as she could only pant and gasp for air.
Slowly Bonnie turned her head to the side as her dazed gaze met Acelen's silent stare. She let out her breath as they continued their stare.
"I should be getting ready by now?" Bonnie asked, not even aware of the time. Acelen looked up at the clock as he spoke.
"Mm. It's actually about time to go. Be quick."
"Why didn't you wake me up!?" Bonnie annoyedly replied. Clearly, he wasn't in the right state of mind. She thought.
He paused for a second while averting his gaze. Then he let out a long sigh.
"Truthfully, I don't want to go. My parents... can be a bit much." Acelen said out of genuine concern.
'Is that conce...concern?!' is the thought that clouded her head. But what Bonnie said was the opposite of her thoughts. Well, what can she do now? Her mouth moves faster than her mind.
"Rich coming from you." She spewed. Acelen didn't even look at her as he stood and fixed his outfit.
"Is that so? Be ready in a few minutes, if not you're going in what you're wearing." He said coldly and left, slamming the door behind him.
Bonnie assumed that she had made him upset or angry. She got a sudden thrill from it and craved more. This was quite amusing to her.
Assuming the fact that she didn't know of Acelen's brief temper and the small storm forming inside of him.
