Bonnie got dressed as quickly as she could while feeling frantic because she didn't know what to expect.
The maids styled her hair into a half-up pulled back bun. the other half was let down. Her hair stopped to her shoulders so it was just a little neat hairstyle to work with. After all she was never allowed to grow it long--
'No time to dwell on old matters! Now is the time to worry about what's ahead.' Bonnie thought. Once she was dressed, she looked at herself in the mirror. She never thought she could look this beautiful.
Her dress was matte black all over with a clear/grayish over-shawl. It was skin tight down until the hips, further below was made to freely hang. The dress stopped at her ankles as her pale skin met with the black heels she was made to wear.
She wore no makeup, as per personal request. At this point, Bonnie was gawking at herself.
Then Acelen sent maids to retrieve her from her bedroom. Bonnie had a naturally elegant walk as she 'strutted' down the hall to their transportation.
At once, Acelen noticed Bonnie strutting towards him with such elegance. He couldn't help but stare as the light shined upon her as if the heavens had opened up. Each foot effortlessly followed the other as she came to a stop in front of him.
Acelen's face remained calm and composed whilst he tried to do the same for his thoughts. Bonnie waited patiently next to Acelen as she also tried to control her thoughts.
Acelen had his hair servingly parted down the middle. He wore professional attire as if he were going to a business meeting. But there was absolutely nothing professional about the partially unbuttoned black collared shirt that revealed his muscle build.
Acelen noticed her pick-up in heartbeat. He also stood there wondering what they were waiting for, as he is the transportation. He decided to speak.
"I see you put effort into your look today, seemingly so because you look particularly appetizing."
Bonnie quickly turned towards him with her dress following. She was dumbstruck and also confused because she didn't know if he meant that as in meal-wise or appearance-wise. All she could do was stare at him.
He turned his deadly stare towards her as he moved closer. Bonnie tried to step back but Acelen had already swiftly grabbed her wrist. "We should get going now before we are late."
"But where is our transp-"
Acelen knew what Bonnie was going to ask. So instead of wasting more time he just picked her up, bridal style, and snapped. Bonnie squeezed her eyes shut.
When she opened her eyes up, literally a second later, they were stood in front of a huge mansion surrounded by millions of acres. Her grip subconsciously tightened on Acelens shoulder. She didn't have to ask, 'cause she knew how they had arrived.
In another instance, a butler sped walked over to them and bowed his head.
"Young master! What a pleasure it is to have you!" The butler said. He was attired professionally, but he had an eyepatch. The butler was clearly terrified as he was shaking but tried his best not to show it.
Bonnie bowed her head to the butler and spoke, "Nice to meet you, I am Bonnie." she said.
The butler frantically waved his hands in the air.
"Oh no, er- young miss, you must not bow your heads to low-borns such as me!" He said energetically. He kept glancing at Acelen who was nonchalantly stood with his head tilted to the side.
He then grabbed Bonnie's arm and made their way to the entrance. Her eyes kept trailing back to the man who was now on his knees and panting out breaths of relief.
She wondered what Acelen had done to the man to had made him so terrified to come greet him. She also wondered who sent that specific butler out to greet Acelen.
Once they finally got inside, Acelen heaved out an impatient breath. It seemed he wanted to leave already. His grip was still tight on her arm but Bonnie didn't complain. He already seemed annoyed. We were walking to the main entrance when a lady suddenly popped up. Literally, out of thin air.
She had a proper stance. Like she was worth billions of dollars, she also had a look on her face that said she wasn't afraid of anything. She walked up to me and leaned forward, I could feel her breath on my face when she spoke.
"Did that amaze you, human?" She said.
I looked at Acelen to see if he wanted me to say anything specific but his attention was elsewhere. I subconsciously rubbed my arm as I looked back at the woman who was awaiting my answer.
"Acelen's done it countless of times so, not really." I said quietly and politely.
She glanced at Acelen and then took her proper stance once again. A smile accompanied her face as she neatly stood.
"That does sound like him." She started. "DId you like my gift, son?"
My eyes widened because I had realized that was his mother. I went to bow my head again when Acelen grabbed my arm. I straightened up because I knew he didn't want me to bow.
"I thought it was quite childish of you, considering the fact that you know that man is terrified of me. Although it was quite enjoyable, seeing the look on his face." Acelen said.
Bonnie thought about how the man had so obviously quivered at the sight of Acelen. The woman showed a cheeky smile before she went off. She said she had to finish some self-made preprations.
Acelen let out another lengthy sigh as they walked on. Truth is, he was hoping his younger brother wasn't here to make this trip any more unbearable. But that hope disappeared within 0.2 seconds, as the powerful strut of his brother had made himself known.
Acelen's brother, Zythe, had walked from the hallway just to make himself known. Then, he disappeared and reappeared in front of Acelen and Bonnie.
He definitely had a sort of mischevious demeanor. Bonnie thought. She also acknowledged his good looks, thinking about how it must've run through the family.
"So this, is what that rather divine aroma was coming from. I can smell your blood through your skin." He rather, suggestingly said.
Because of the sudden approach, I had no words. However, he reached out his hand to me, which I had no choice but to give to him as my mouth slowly parted.
