Confrontations

She found herself suddenly trying to remember if her flashback from yesterday was true to her or not. If so, there's a lot she doesn't know about her past,

That she intends to find out.

...

Acelen went to search for his mom's location. Let's just say, he had a bone to pick with her. She obviously knows the side effects of a... 'starved' vampire, now why did she choose to show that side of him- in front of Bonnie to make matters worse. Since it was the early morning she was most likely out on her market scroll.

This annoyed Acelen because he had questions with no answers. All he was left with was his angry thoughts. But then...the thoughts of last nights started to arise.

He's always been like this since forever ago. Every time he overfeeds he acts as if he's a toddler. He tries his best not to but lately, he hasn't had a reliable source of food. Well, that's not exactly true. But he didn't want to stoop so low and take the blood of an orphan.

'That's the reason why right?' Acelen thought.

Wait was he questioning himself? Who has he become? This is disgraceful and shameful for him. At this point, he'd thought it'd be better to shut off his thoughts. At least for now.

"What's gotten you so worried, my son?" His mother said, interrupting his thoughts.

"What? It's nothing of the sort." Acelen responded back quickly. Did he seem worried? About what?

"Hmph. Okay, dear son." Lydia repeated back with an eye roll or two.

"And mother, I've been looking for you. We should talk."

"About?"

Acelen focused his gaze on his mother's pupils as she gazed back at him. It was completely silent.

"Hm. Perhaps about yesterday's events? About how you purposely engaged my rogue?"

"Ah~ that. And what about it? Did you bite her?" Lydia said hopingly. Acelen couldn't believe his ears as he realized why his mother set him up. She wished for him to regularly feed while he could on Bonnie. This was common for his mother to act like this, so why was he so upset? It must be the 'hangover'.

Acelen sighed before he spoke again.

"Mother."

"Acelen?"

"Listen, I haven't bitten Bonnie for a reason."

"And that reason is...?"

"It's because-" Acelen started. "It's because..." Truth is, he had nothing. This is so unlike him, he couldn't help but think-

"Acelen. Do you wish to die of starvation? Is that your dream?"

Acelen put his hands on his forehead and massaged back and forth. That's when he heard it...

The slight sound of a heartbeat. A human heartbeat with a familiar rhythm.

Bonnie's.

And if his disheveled senses could pick up on that heartbeat clearly, his mother had previously heard it. And everything she said was to mess with Bonnie's head. No wonder she was speaking nonsense.

Acelen turned to the sound to find the source.

"....Bonnie?" he said. Then he heard her footsteps retreating.

He turned back to his mom and glared at her.

"We'll be leaving today," he said as he left after Bonnie.

"How sad, it's only been a day. Also, your brother has news for you."

Acelen ignored his mother and continued walking.

"She's right, brother," said Zythe before Acelen could even leave the room. He scoffed and turned around to face Zythe with a rage-on-edge look in his eyes. This was enough to bring down Zythe's ego just a little bit.

"I do bear news for you, but since you seem to be in a rush would you prefer it to be a surprise?" teased Zythe. Acelen responded,

"...No."

Zythe is well aware of Acelen hatred for surprises. That's why he prompted him. He knew the outcome.

"As I expected. Now, you should know that I'll be coming over to our house for a week or so."

Acelen tilted his head in response.

"Our house?"

"Yes, although father purchased it for you, I do have a room in it, do I not?" Zythe said.

Acelen scoffed once again.

"And why would you wish to do so?" said Acelen, who was now heavily annoyed. Lydia's mother knew that Zythe was just saying these things to try and annoy Acelen. It was obviously working.

"Hm. I guess I just have a sudden desire to pursue Bonnie."

Acelen stared at Zythe for a moment, suspiciously eyeing his movements to try and guess his motives. He clearly wanted a reaction out of Acelen and well, you get what you brew, right?

"Is that so? Well, that shouldn't be an issue. I'll be leaving first."

Acelen's response left Zythe feeling an everlasting urge to win against him again. This was usual but now it felt much stronger. He had to win against Acelen.

On the other end, Acelen was proficient when it came to disguising his emotions. As it turns out, currently Acelen wants to take his anger out on an army of humans as he watches their life drain out of their eyes. But then he thought, how would Bonnie look at him if he'd done that...

'Agh such foolish thoughts!' Acelen thought as he rushed back to Bonnie. Lydia is constantly putting Bonnie into manipulative situations and Acelen thinks she's falling for it.

Bonnie was sat perfectly in the room waiting for Acelen to come back. She had heard everything up until Acelen noticed her presence.

'Darn vampires and their super-senses!' she thought.

To Bonnie's surprise, Acelen pushed the door open and stood in front of her with an annoyed look. She'd hope that it wasn't because of her impudence on their privacy. Her thoughts were beginning to overflow and one actually ended up spilling out of the pot.

"Is it true that if you don't eat regularly, you'll die?" Bonnie asked.

Her sudden question caught Acelen off-guard. At least this confirmed how long she'd been there.

"...Well not exactly. It's a much more complex process before I'd happen to die." said Acelen.

Bonnie stared at him with an unmoving gaze. Her expression was unreadable as she stared. She then dropped her gaze to her legs and spoke again.

"I don't know why I care, but please," Bonnie started, she looked up to meet Acelen's eyes yet again.

"Please take my blood."
