Butcher you with a knife and Adriel's back

It was not an easy fight as Dex collapsed as the last soul sliced into thin air. He was exhausted.

"Dex, you need to stop," I told him as he was catching his breath, I was worried his wounds are not getting better and it seems like it was worst than before as I saw his face was getting paler than before," you can't continue like this and –"

"I'm alright... I'm okay, just let me catch my breath and then we'll get out of here..." He dragged his body with mine as I held him to a nearby tree, and he slumps into the ground with a thud as he closed his eyes.

I touched his forehead, and he was cold, he can't go on like this, he was not in the condition to fight anymore, and if we move on, I can't guarantee which one will kill him first, the poison that's spreading, his exhausted body or the unknown. I'm not letting him go on like this.

I prayed in my head that Adriel is back because now we need him more than ever.

Suddenly on the other side we heard another ear-piercing screech, Dex who listened to the loud screech tries to stand as he tries to shield us, but this time I'm not letting him, the thing saw us and was slithering its way to out spot.

"Am… amethyst… get back and –"

"Dex, please stay here they are looking for me, and I need to find the help you can't go on like this –"I place the dagger Ramses gave me, and he looks at me. I hope he doesn't have to summon anything and waste his energy.

I was ready to run when Dex held my hands," Wait… Thy, what are you doing –"he had tried to grab my hands again by I refuse as I step further from him.

I ran as fast as I can," HEY! I'm HERE…" The screeching that was once close to Dex direction all turn to me as I ran.

Probably not the best idea but it was a worth a shot, the souls were catching up when suddenly out nowhere my body flung aside, and I was lifted to see a monster had captured me, it's tentacles had tangled itself to me. I could myself slipping from the lack of oxygen.

As I look up to see an unknown smiling menacingly and I didn't, I think I was going to die this way, uncool.

Mom, Dad, I'm sorry…

The thing was ready to strike when sudden it screeches. It was glowing a red beam and vanquished from thin air, I can feel my body light weighted as I slip from its grasp, and I thought I was going to fall and plummeted into the ground when suddenly I felt someone had grabbed me and I landed into someone as they grunt.

I looked up to see Adriel's worried face and the hint of glow coming from his eyes and a sudden change of appearance was something I was not used too, what had happened?

"Adriel…" I was relieved to see him. I was thinking about starting to feel light-headed and maybe a bit of hallucination when I saw the horn had emitted from his head.

I would probably scream, but right now, that is something I can later as I need to be healthy.

"Adriel… Dex is hurt and –"stopped by the demigods he nods.

"I know I can feel the aura of his weakening, tell me where is right now," I nod at him, and I try to stand up trying not to blush as he settles me down and I begin walking before I was pulled back into a hug.

I froze. I didn't know what I should do, so I pat his back, and he looks at me and rubs his neck absurdly. We stare at each other, and I could help to stare at him.

"I'm sorry…" he whispers he steps a bit closer to me.

I was about to answer when a sudden screech had interrupted us, and we see souls started to emitted from the ground, and you saw Adriel smirking as he cracked his head to the side and a cackling laugh emitted from him.

"Who the hell has been messing with hell's property?"

No one spoke after that as you walk your way to Dex who was slouching and I ran to him as he looks at him.

He looks up as he was ready to cry his heart out," Adriel…" and when he saw me he was prepared to jump in tears and he when grabby hands as I sat beside him and he hugs me tighter, and I look at Adriel who was ready to step in, and I smile at him and signal him an okay.

"Amethyst…" looking at Dex, and he started to look at me," Are you seriously going to smile after you just ran out like that made me worried." My smile drop and I nervously glance at him.

"Dex you know that I did it because we couldn't –"

"Thy, you are lucky I'm about to pass out or not I might have done something to you, I should have a butcher you with a knife for leaving like that," Adriel who glare at the guy and Dex could only chuckle," Kidding Riel, you look like you're going to explode."

"Amethyst if you don't mind, I would like to know what happened," he asked," Please."

I looked Adriel and smile and nod at him, and I let go of Dex who was smiling at me.

"Dex… will you be alright for a moment?" Dex could only shrug at it as he closes his eyes and I worry about him. I looked at him, and I grab ahold of his hands.

"Jacob—and Ramses – thy… It's okay I'm just tired and all," I look at Adriel who was also warry over Dex sudden action.

"We need to get going Amethyst, Let's go lead the way."
