Chapter 26

We arrived at the hotel where we found her car, thankfully, Natalie gave me her second set as I gave the taxi driver money but he waved it off.

"I don't mind losing my job to help two good ladies. Have a nice one and make it back safely." He said as he tipped his hat.

I got out of the taxi with a smile. Now, I had no idea where Natalie would be in the hotel so I ran over to where it was parked, unlocked the car door, then started it up and moved it out of the way in case anyone else came. I fell asleep in the car that kept me warm on the chilly night. As the sun rose in my eyes I woke up to her still not in the car quite yet as I looked at the clock, she will be out in a few hours at most so I just sat their staring at the beautiful sun rise. The next several hours felt like a dread waiting for Natalie to come out of the hotel but once she finally appeared my eyes couldn't leave the sorrow in her face that showed how her whole world crashed.

Once Natalie opened the car door, I saw that she wasn't herself at all. I knew what happened and who hurt her that made sense to me in all the world. I still have to go back to my own home and face Sarah once and for all. Natalie didn't admit to anything at first but she did say Sarah hurt her which meant that Sarah is in for a heap of shit when we get back to my home. I whipped out of the hotel parking lot with not much more than making sure Sarah stayed dead. I wanted nothing more than me and Natalie to have our lives back before everything fell through though at this rate it seemed nearly impossible to be happy since Sarah has controlled my life by pretending to be dead from cancer.

Arriving at the house two hours later that is when I parked the car and rushed out of it like a mad son of a bitch. I wasn't letting Sarah get the upper hand. I yelled for her to get out of my house then stormed in on her in the guest room to find that she had destroyed everything of Natalie's that wasn't in my room yet. I couldn't believe Sarah had been so cruel. I heard Natalie sigh then made her way back downstairs knowing this argument was going to be awhile.

"Sarah, you had to run off Natalie and I know what you did to her. That isn't right." I said in a harsh tone.

"Every woman wants me, Amber, she couldn't resist the most desire of love with me between her thighs. If anything I don't see anything exciting about her besides that red headed temper and her sexy figure. Oh, by the way, we have been divorced for a while now, you never realized and probably too busy mourning the loss of me." Sarah replied with vile in her throat.

"Thank the heavens above that we are divorced but this is still my house and I want you out." I replied with anger.

"About that when you signed the divorce papers, I own everything including this house, our horses and your truck. Sorry babe, but your time is over." Sarah responded with a smile.

"Fucking hell!" I yelled into the air.

"Bye bitch, now you can leave my house and that prissy woman too." Sarah responded.

"Wait, you didn't fuck her to get me back, you fucked Natalie to own my life and control my aspects as I mourned you for over six months before she arrived. You ruined my life! I hate you Sarah!" I replied, walking away and stomping my boots down the stairs.

I got into the living room, slashed my hand across every picture of us and everything that still showed anything of me and her or anything that used to be ours. I was so mad that I didn't care if she could afford to replace it or not, Sarah took my childhood home and I have no way of getting back not unless their is a way to change everything. Once I finished I made my way to Natalie and found her with the horses, she looked so beautiful by both of the horses that got to know her. I came up to her with my head down knowing that this news is going to be hard. I ended up giving her somewhat the details that went down and she was still supportive. We agreed to a shelter then changed our minds to head to San Antino to see Sheila and Dana with the two kids.

Two hours later with Natalie driving we made it to San Antino by afternoon and found the house where they were staying. We got caught up with them before calling it a night early so that way we could find a way to get Sarah out of my parents home.

I got up extra early out of routine to figure everything out but I needed Sheila to talk too without the kids and Dana being in the way. I found Sheila in the kitchen, sipping on her hot coffee that was freshly brewed, I pulled up a chair beside her and laid my head down.

"Amber, I didn't think you would be here in my life as of yesterday after our big disagreement on Dana." Sheila said with her southern drawl.

"I can't believe Sarah lied then led me on a wild life of a goose chase. Journey is gone for good or she will come around to hang out with us. I need to find a lawyer and get my home back. I doubt Natalie knows anyone but I want to ask her when she gets more rest." I replied with a heavy sigh.

"Sarah has always taken shit from you and I never approved of her from the start. I knew she lied about her death when her casket was empty. Amber, Sarah can have that house. You can be out here with us and make a home. You were considering it months ago. Let her have it. If your siblings want it that bad they will get it back by taking her to court." Sheila responded sipping her coffee.

I knew she was right by staying here and finding a new home. Might as well solve my issues with Sarah by finding a new home to begin with my new love.
