Transfers

It was hard to drain out all the thoughts, more specifically a Tuesday morning. Julie left the house feeling drained, with a bottle of coffee in hand and her backpack. She was sure that her day would go downhill.

Strolling down the road not caring anymore about the thoughts of every neighbor in her complex

[MILK MILK MILK]

[That child is so infuriating]

[I don't wanna go to school]

[Ooo I can't wait to meet my nephews]

Julie, having enough of the thoughts that are ringing in her head, fetches out her earphones. Sighing in relief, the ringing begins to fade. Julie now feeling slightly better, walks faster towards her school.

Julie trails back to what happened in the morning. While being already awake at 5 am, her Aunt has already left the house. Leaving Julie and Uncle Rudy's bizarre dreams in the house.

Julie calls back when she saw the news, finally seeing what case her Aunt was talking about, she can't help but feel odd. The news had some photos of the victim, with the latest victim showing through the tv.

It was uncanny how somebody died from claw marks. Claw marks Julie has experienced were Celine's rowdy cat. God, Jeffrey hated her.

But Julie knows those claw marks weren't just some by some random knife. Especially when this already happened the third time.

[WHERE IS JULIE]

As so it seems she has found Celine. Julie finally arrived at the school, where her biggest nightmare reside.

Rolling her eyes, she tries to pinpoint Celine's thoughts in a storm of thoughts. A plan that usually works so that she doesn't faint by the loud students walking down the halls.

[There she is!]

Julie looks to her left, spotting Celine's yellow blonde hair mixed in the crowd. She waved as she saw the blonde girl jumped as Celine walks towards her.

"Hey." Julie greeted her voice bored, Celine smiled brightly as she hugged Julie. Julie could feel some stares coming from the crowd, as she ushered Celine to go to their homeroom.

[Finally, Julie's here, should I tell her? Or maybe- with her temper maybe not a great idea] Celine smiled nervously.

Julie raised an eyebrow at that thought, as she was dragging Celine in the middle of a sea of sweaty angsty teenagers. Tell her what exactly? But Julie didn't spare a glance towards Celine, not until they get to a silent place.

Not even a minute they finally step foot inside their homeroom. Julie was not used to running or exercise, in general, was out of breath, whilst her friend, Celine, remind you a basketball player, had the stamina to go wild. Was completely fine.

[Is she dead?]

Julie could feel the concern stare from Celine, as she was coughing out the air out of her lungs. Yeah, she was clearly not fine. As she took a gulp of her coffee in hand and hissing at the slight burn.

[God the biology test I didn't study]

[I wanna go home]

[Is Trisha back-stabbing me?]

[*intense WII music*]

Julie lets out a heavy breath as she stopped coughing, and regains her sense of reasoning. Looking up towards Celine, who had her eyebrow knit in worry and not-knowing-what-to-do stare.

"'Kay so whassup" Julie murmured, voice still raspy from the cough episode. Celine who was still day-dreaming was completely on a train of thought. Which makes Julie's job MUCH easier to know what's going on.

[Should I tell her? But would it be okay, I mean she's my best friend and all. But can she handle this?]Celine was fidgeting her fingers, avoiding Julie's gaze.

Okay not weird at all.

Julie sighs at her pretty friend's thoughts. "Well, you can tell me later on, just have you studied for the test?" Julie, as much as she doesn't want to deal with anyone's business, was much more of a parent towards Celine, can't help but feel the need to help out towards her troublesome friend.

Celine nods leisurely, but when she finally snaps out of it. Her eyes widen as she starts agitatedly shaking Julie's shoulder. "OMG, I FORGOT ABOUT IT, HAND ME YOUR NOTE."

Dizzy with being shaken like a ragdoll, Julie mustered up a glare at her friend, as she rolled her eyes at the sheepish look Celine gave her.

[OH- I made her mad,]Celine letting both shoulders go, frantically to not make Julie mad at her.

Julie groans as she walks to her seat, leaving Celine in front of the classroom. She stares at the blonde from her seat, face settled on her palm. Gazing at her friend with a boring look on her face.

Celine Gregory, her best friend for the past three years and still ongoing was a dumbass. Don't be fooled by her pretty blonde locks, and sea blue enchanting eyes, cause Julie, has seen what her pretty looks have done to other people. Celine was the typical, main protagonist in a story. She fits into all the categories. Pretty, dense, athletic, did she mention pretty? well, there're many more aspects to it, how she knew this? There is something called self-awareness.

"Uh, Julie?" Celine's face frowned, as she hastily walking towards her. Face looking like a kicked puppy.

But as much as Julie wanted to be angry, she couldn't. Julie softens as she saw her friend internally panicking, her thoughts going on a volume that would kill her eardrums. This was a thing Julie had, not being able to stay mad at her friend. God, is she turning soft?

Sighing as she ruffled her already bird's nest hair, she forced out a small smile towards Celine. Julie wasn't the one who would go around giving smiles to people, and she's definitely trying for the sake of her friend, her only friend.

"Well what are you waiting for, homeroom is going to start." With a speed of light, Celine was already by her desk. Julie took out her notes and nonchalantly threw the notes into Celine's hands.

[The sacred notes of nature.] Eyes shining brightly as if she had found the lost gold treasure. Julie snorted at cheerful thought.

If anime was real, Julie swears that the look Celine is giving her right now would look like an excited puppy wagging her tail. Julie waving her hand, as Celine enthusiastically goes to her seat.

[Of course, Julie studied..should I ask her notes as well]

[Are they talking about me? Are they talking about how I look today???]

[CrAWlING in MY SKIN]

"Urgh" Julie mushed her head into both of her arms. Her gaze drifted back onto her friend across the room. If a smile could blind a person, Julie pities Celine's deskmate.

It's just been thirty minutes of the day, and Julie was so sure that she could just sleep right now. Glancing towards the clock on the wall, they still had ten more minutes till the bell rang and people started coming into class.

Suddenly she was alarmed by a new voice- no two voices. Her gaze darted towards the door, there stood two new strangers.

A boy who looked like would tower over her, messy black hair, green emerald eyes. By his deadpan face, it seems like he wants everyone six feet away from him. Next to the boy, was a brunette with amber eyes. She had her hair in a braid and had an earring on her right ear. But judging by how they're both talking, it seems they both know each other.

[WHY ARE THEY HERE.]Celine internally screamed as Julie gazes at her friend. Does she know them? Wait a minute, a dude with green eyes and black hair, where has she heard of this.

Her train of thoughts was cut off with the bell ringing. As everybody was already by their seats, either talking, being lonely, or daydreaming.

Homeroom teacher, Mr. Hendrick was striding into the room. Hands full of history textbooks, he drops them on the table, as he stares blankly at them.

"Good morning everybody" everybody chimed greeting him, Julie blankly stared at her homeroom teacher, bored.

"Now we have two new transfer students-" Julie already trailed off from his conversation, as she was listening to the two new thoughts inside the room.

[Am I going to be okay in this school?] the brunette was fidgeting in her seat.

The boy was in a blank state, so Julie couldn't really read his thoughts. But something was nagging behind her head. Why are they transferring in the middle of the semester?

"Okay, transfer students, stand up and introduce yourself." Both of them stood up from their seats. Sitting in the back of the class, the brunette spoke out first. "Uh Hi, my name is Amelia, Amelia Gold, nice to meet you all," Amelia said, avoiding everybody's gaze as she sat down.

"Ethan Jackson." that's all he said as he sat back down. Some girls in the class were swooning over the new boy, some were questioning them while the others went back to their daily activity.

"Do you guys know each other?" Celine being in a much closer seating, asked. 'It's him again? Why is he with Amelia?'

"No, we just met at the front gate," Amelia answered. [He just came up to me.]

[We don't have much time left]Ethan had this concentrated look towards Celine. Julie frowned no way is she leaving her friend with these two newcomers. 'Is she looking at me?' Julie's jaws dropped when she saw Ethan looking at her.

Her? Oggling at him? Over her dead body, Julie internally cursed the black-haired. She definitely won't be getting along with them.

"Oh and Celine?" Mr. Hendrick called out as Celine pointed at herself. [Me??]

"After school, stop by the principal office," he said, as the bell again rang. That was the end of homeroom, seems fast but does Julie care? Nope. not at all.

Everybody stood up as they started leaving the room to go to their respected classes. Julie stood up as well joining in the crowd of students. But saw a glimpse of Celine talking to the transfers.

Huffing, she fetched out her phone, Julie saw a text from her aunt.

"I'll be late tonight, so dinner is on you."

Julie cocked her head to her side. With the nagging headache coming from behind, she slips through the crowd as she walks to math. Days were never simple anymore, Julie grew to accept that.
