Chapter 27
"L/n, what are you doing here?" I hear Hinata ask, drawing the volleyball boy's attention to me
"She is coming with us," Takeda said with a smile before ushering the boys onto the bus
"Wait, you're coming l/n?" Hinata asked and I nodded at his question
"My mom wants me to go, so that way she can come and see me without having to drive so far." I try to explain why while we all get on the bus
"She is lazy," Hinata said bluntly while we sat down
"No... She's just busy."
"L/n, let's play a card game!" Hinata says while pulling out a deck of playing cards
"Sure, what game?" I ask with a smile while I watched as he shuffled the cards together
"BS." He simply said while he fixed the cards into one stack
"How do you play that?"
"We need another person first," Hinata said before we both turned towards the raven-haired boy
"What? No, I'm not going to play whatever foolish game we guys-" He started while Hinata and I both continued to give him puppy dog eyes
"Fine." He said giving in, while two voices behind us chimed in
"BS? I'm the master of the game! Let me play!" Nishinoya said excitedly while Tanaka followed behind
"Me too!"
"Okay, let me explain how to play first," Hinata said while we all sat on the edge of our seat in a kind-of-circle.
"I want to explain!" Nishinoya said excitedly and Hinata gave him a little nod
"So we deal the entire deck of cards evenly to each person, then we each take turns placing one card. We start with an Ace then work up to a king until we return back to an Ace. "
"What if you don't have the card, do you skip your turn?" Kageyama asks and Nishinoya smirks
"You Lie!" He said before adding "You can set down whatever card you want, just if someone calls BS on you and you didn't place the card you were supposed to-"
"You take the entire stack," Tanaka says
"But if the person put down the right card then the caller takes the whole stack." Nishinoya finishes
"Okay, I think I understand," I say while and Kageyama nods
"Alright, let's play!" Hinata says loudly earning a comment from Daichi
Hinata sealed out the cards and I arranged my cards from Ace to King.
'An Ace, Three 4's, 5, 6, Two 9's, Jack, King.' I thought to myself while I finished arranging my cards
"L/n, do you want to start?" Hinata asked me and I nodded before placing my card face-down on the makeshift table we had
"One Ace." I confidently said, earning curious stares from the boys
"I don't think she is sus." Tanaka said and they all agreed before moving onto Kageyama's turn
"What if I have more than 1 card?" Kageyama asked the group while he looked up from cards
"You say how many cards you are laying down, then the number you are laying down." Hinata explained, and Kageyama pulled two cards from his arrangement
"Two, 2s?" Kageyama said in a confused tone while he placed his cards face-down
"It's sus." Nishinoya said
"No, I just wasn't sure if I was saying it right!" Kageyama defended himself
"SuS!" Hinata said pointing at Kageyama
"I saw him vent!" Tanaka said causing us all to laugh
"But who is going to call it?" Hinata asked, looking at the boys who agreed that Kageyama was Sus
"Umm." They both start unsure of themself
"Let's just continue the game," I said and Hinata nodded
"We will let that one go since you are new," Hinata said before placing down a card
"One 3.," He said and we all looked at Nishinoya
"Two 4's" He said and I glanced up at him with my eyebrow raised
"Two?" I said, causing Tanaka to pause from placing his card
"Yea," Nishinoya said confidently
"BS," I said before flipping over the two top cards
"She caught you!" Tanaka said with a laugh while the top two cards revealed to be a 4 and a 3
"Here you go," I say sweetly while I pushed the stack of cards towards him.
The game continued on until I held the last card in my hand.
"There is no way you have a 4." Nishinoya said, waiting for my turn
"I guess we will have to see." I say while Tanaka laid down his card
"One 3." He said turning all eyes on me
"One 4." I say while laying down my card face-down
"BS." Hinata said while flipping over the card to reveal a 4
"No way!" Nishinoya exclaimed causing me to laugh, but earning a glare from Tsukishima made me stop
"I call a rematch!" Nishinoya declared
"Me too!" Tanaka added
"Me three!" Hinata also added
"I call sleep!" Kageyama said before placing his cards on the stack before disappearing to sleep
"I think I'm not going to play either," I say earning the puppy dog eyes of Hinata
"Come on L/n, we have enough time for one more game." He said
"Enough time for me to get some sleep," I said pulling the small blanket I brought over me, before falling asleep.
I slept for most of the ride, only waking up to the sound of Tanaka cheering which was followed by Daichi cutting off their game of BS, before falling back asleep until the bus finally stopped moving.
"Is that Tokyo tower?" Kageyama and Hinata said in unison while we got off the bus
"Do you guys not have cell towers where you're from?" I hear a rooster-haired boy ask Daichi while I got off the bus
"Miss L/n." I hear my name called, causing me to turn my attention towards a man who wore a button-up, with his hair sleeked back.
"I assume my Mom is waiting for me?" I asked and he nodded towards a car that was still running
"L/n, you're leaving already?" Hinata asked realizing what was going on
"I guess my Mom got here early," I say with a small smile
"Aww, I wanted to play a game of volleyball with you." Hinata pouted
"I'm sure I will be back before your camp is over, we can probably play a game then," I reassure him and he smiles
"I'll be looking forward to it." He said with a bright smile
I glanced over at Kageyama, who just stared at me remembering our conversation before he left for his first trip.

"Let me get dressed real quick," I said while I quickly averted my eyes from his and ran off to my room
I quickly changed before returning to the livingroom
"Kageyama, I wanted to talk to you about something." I say while wrap a towel around my hair
"What do you want to break up with me?" He asked jokingly
"No, but it's something serious." I told him while I joined him on the couch
"What's up?" Kageyama asked while he hugged me, pulling me into his chest
"It's my mom." I explained and Kageyama was silent before speaking again
"What about her?"
"She wants me to travel with you guys to Tokyo for your camp."
"Wait, why?" He asked
"Because she wants to see me again." I said before adding "But it's weird because it's the first time she has wanted to see me since I was at the hospital."
"Has she called?"
I shook my head before speaking "No calls, no nothing. She didn't even text me to tell me I was going with you guy, your coach had to tell me." I paused before adding "I feel like she is up to something." My words hung in the air
"What do you mean by, Up to Something?"
"I'm not sure, but whatever it is I have a feeling its not good."
"I'm sure everything will be alright." He reassured me

"I will see you guys later!"I said with a wave before heading towards the running car
"Here, let me open that for you miss." The man from before said while he chased after me
I glanced back at the boys one more time, my eyes meeting the familiar blue ones before getting into the car.
"F/n!" My mom said with a smile while I got into the car
"Hey Mom." I said also while a smile, before being pulled into a hug
"I missed you so much." She said happily while she let me go so I could put on my seat belt
"I missed you to." I said then added "Have you been waiting long?"
"We just got here a few minutes ago." She said while the diver's door opened and closed
"I need to go back to the office." She told the man before looking back at me "I have a bit of paperwork I need to finish then we can head out."
"How much paperwork are we talking, I have so much I want to tell you about." I explain an she thought for a second
"I think it will only take me 20 minutes." She said while the car began to move, and I saw the volleyball boys one more time before we disappear down an unfamiliar road.
"How are you liking staying at Akina's?" My mom asked, drawing my attention from the window
"It's like home." I say, not wanting to explain that I tempory moved back into my apartment
"That's good, her Gradma said she loved having you around." She said and I nodded
"Mom, can I ask a question?" I asked her and she nodded
"How come you didn't tell me why I lost my memories?"
"I was scared that you might have gotten hurt." She explained, trying to dismiss the question
"And also-" I say drawing her attention to me once again "Why did you suddenly want to see me?"
Her smiled faded while I uttered those words "I guess I shouldn't beat around the bush then-" She said before looking seriously at me
"Marriage."
