Back To Shop

Zed spun the chopper around to face the exit and began to fly towards it. He would abandon this helicopter since he had many planes and helicopters in his inventory already. As he got closer and closer to the exit the experience bar continued to move, not showing much sign of slowing down.

When Zed had arrived outside of the army base he lowered the chopper until it landed on the ground right next to his car. He then got out and began loading his car full of the contents of the helicopter. This process didn't take long and Zed soon was back on the roads.

The car roared as it speeded down the roads decimating any zombie which got in its path.

The experience bar had finally come to a halt now and the system's voice spoke to Zed. "Your mission has been completed. All requirements have been met and a total of 40,000 exp has been added to your status."

Zed opened the stats screen and used all of his available points. Since he had levelled up 30 times he was currently level 34 and had 150 attribute points.

"That's a lot, right? The wait isn't that a little too much?" Zend asked with extreme confusion.

"No of course not. All undead receive the same amount of exp for killing their enemies. However, humans do not own this system and therefore can't gain exp. They instead grow in strength through natural evolution. This process is much slower so in turn humans must work extra hard to reach the peak of the apocalypse."

At that moment Zed had realised something. He was a zombie. Surprised by this Zed decided we'd to confirm it with the system. "Am I am undead?" he asked.

"Yes, you are in fact undead. You could call yourself a subspecies of sorts. Your flesh won't rot, but you can't be fatally wounded unless you receive a powerful blow to the head. All other wounds will heal fairly quickly. The reason the undead attack you is because you do not smell of the undead due to the fact that your body is still fighting the virus from taking full effect. The system does not know the exact reason for this however it could be attributed to the fact that your an irregular," The system replied.

Zed looked down at his hand where the burn mark had been not too long ago. It had disappeared. When he saw this he also realised that the pain had completely disappeared from existence.

"I see," Zed said as he pondered for a while. In the end, he decided it wouldn't change much about his plans and so he continued on his way to Kagami's car workshop. He most likely wouldn't tell anyone of this secret. Well, at least not at first anyway.

Along the way, Zed assigned the entirety of the points he had received to his attributes. The new status screen was as shown:

Zed (lvl34):

Health: 43/43

Magic: 65/65

Strength: 50/50

Agility: 103/103

Intelligence: 467/467

Learning Rate: 967/967

Abilities:

Swordsmanship (Diamond Cutting Water Dance Technique 1/100), boxing (Thai Style 40/100), irregular learner, marksman (73/100), Water Elementalist (Rushing Waterfall Technique 1/100), etc

These stats were his perfect build. Agility would always be his main stat followed by magic. Magic could help the user strengthen their own muscles as well as using elemental abilities. Magic abilities could also repair the body of damage. Although Zed didn't necessarily need this all that much, he could also use it on other people, therefore giving it even more purpose. The elemental abilities we're extremely rare during the apocalypse and Zed had received one of the best ones. Water was considered perfect for a sword user which is what Zed was. Strong water element plus high agility meant a powerful warrior.

As Zed continued to drive he heard the system speak to him in her usual calming voice. "Due to the increase in magic, your inventory space has been increased. Current space 50/65."

Zed was a little amazed since he didn't expect the storage to be upgradeable through the magic attribute. This leads him to believe that there was a chance for the other stats to affect him in more ways then what they stated. For example, it was possible that the strength stat not only meant his muscle fibres strength but also his skin toughness. This was indeed possible.

As Zed continued to think about this the system confirmed his thoughts, "you would be correct in thinking this Zed. Your attributes affect everything to do with themselves."

Now that he had all this spare room he would store the rest of the armour and uniforms which he had stolen from the base. This included the uniforms with boots and body armour with helmets.

Zed turned around in his seat and reached his arm out to hover over the clothes. Not even a second after he willed it, the clothes disappeared from the back sear.

[Inventory space: 52/64]

...

As Zed drove into the car yard he saw the tank which Yamada had stolen from the military base. This tank could be considered one of the worlds strongest and fastest. It would take a shit ton of power to put even a small dent in its shell.

Zed parked his car, got out and walked into the workshop. Once inside he saw his giant of a friend sitting at a table. Zed walked up to his back with complete silence. Once behind Kagami, he slapped him on the shoulder, almost giving the poor guy a heart attack while at it.

"Fuck! Holy shit, never do that again Zed, " said the shaken Kagami.

"Hahaha! I'm so sorry, but I had to," replied Zed with a laugh.

Kagami stared at him with anger right before falling into a fit of laughter.

"Haha, I'm a little on edge you see. Thanks for helping me release the tension, " thanked Kagami once the laughter had died down.

"We should begin moving out in five. You will be driving the tank and I will drive the car" Zed said hoping that he wouldn't have to leave his beautiful beast of a car.

Kagami simply replied with an "ok sure" as he began walking out to his tank.
