Chapter 5- Ashley

Ashley was perfect. Perfect hair, perfect body, perfect shoes and family. Her dad was the principal of her school, and he was the CEO of a business, not that Ahley cared what he did. He would always be giving her money, and letting her go shopping. She looked into her mirror in her bedroom. She wore a light pink shirt, her long hair pulled up into a high ponytail. She had blue jean shorts, really short shorts, a few pure gold necklaces, her favorite watch, her diamond rings and bracelets. She had her designer shoes, up to her knees, and her handbag, of course, costing more than most people's entire closet full of clothes.

Ashley's dad walked into the room, holding up the keys to her car; a limo, she'd gotten it for her birthday this year, when she turned sixteen, and she drove it everywhere, unless she made him drive it for her.

"Daddy, I need a new phone!" She whined the second he stepped into the room. "Mine's, like, old now! Everyone had the brand new one, and it makes them look cooler than me! And they aren't! I NEED A NEW ONE!" She said, stomping her shoes like a toddler having a fit.

"Of course, sweetie, I'll order one right away." her dad said. Her mood instantly switched, "Thanks daddy!" she said, highly fake and exaggerated. She picked out a pair of giant golden hoop earrings, snapping them on.

"Are you ready for school yet? I can have our butler drive you."

"Ew, I don't want some old freak!" She said, once again whining. "I want YOU to drive me!!" She quickly applied some makeup, and grabbed her three suitcases she sat by the end of her king sized bed. Her dad noticed, and looked at them.

"What are those?" He asked.

"Oh, you know," Ashley said in her high-pitched voice. "Makeup, face masks, hairdryers, nail polish, a few phones in case mine doesn't work, the necessities for the camping trip!"

"I didn't think you would want to go," Her dad admitted. "You'll be outside."

Ashley groaned. "I, like, KNOW! With BUGS! And DIRT!? What am I going to do! But the stupid coach is MAKING me go! He's SO ANNOYING dad, I hate him! UGH!"

"You'll be alright, sweetie. C'mon, let's go, and get you a coffee on the way."

Ashley arrived at school from her limo, like always. She'd seen the faces of the kids there who could only DREAM that THEY would get to come to school in a fancy car like hers. She'd lifted her head, parading past them all, showing off all her designer clothes, like she was royalty. She would see one face, three faces in fact, that she hated because they refused to acknowledge how amazing she was! She knew that they were all super annoying and weird, and one was extremely violent.

As she started to walk over to them, someone else caught up to her. It was Daniel, her new boyfriend. She and him had met at the mall, and he told her about pretending to date this guy so he could use him for something.

"Hey, Babe," He said, giving her a quick kiss. "Are you going on this camping trip? I thought you'd stay home?"

"Well, Dad had to come, being the principal and mom's like, out of town so I have to come on this stupid thing, but at least you'll be there, right?"

"Of course I will!" He said, brushing the hair from his eyes. Ashley heard it then- the same girl who had threatened her, walking up once again. Alexa, also known as the violent one, in Ashley's head. She was a bit taller than Ashley, making her seem much stronger, which she WASN'T!

"You," She snapped, glaring at Daniel, even though her two friends told her to stop and come back. "You are a cheater, you bitch. You both knew very well he was in a relationship, yet you kissed. And now, I've come to ask you both a simple question to teach you your lesson." She said, her anger pouring out. Ashley felt a stab of fear.

""Like, what are you talking about?" Ashley asked instead.

"Are you hungry, either of you?" She said, "Want me to get you something to eat?"

Ashley snorted. "Like, shut up you little weirdo. You can't do anything to me! I'm the princ-" She was cut off as she felt a hand hit her face. Alexa stood there. She'd SLAPPED her! IN THE FACE!

"OH MY GOD!" She shouted, as Alexa snickered. "OHMYGOD, did she SMEAR my MAKEUP!?" Ashley shouted. "I could have, like, DIED! SHE COULD HAVE KILLED ME!" Daniel seemed to not know that the hell to do, he just stood there dumbly. "I'll.. uh.. Be back with some more.. Makeup?" he said, before dashing away.

"UGH! My makeup is RUINED! The entire trip is RUINED I LOOK LIKE A MESS!" Ashley cried, hearing the laughter around her, she raised her voice and cried out "I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE EMBARRASSED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!"

"Sure about that?" Alexa asked, and Ashley felt hands connect with her back, as she was shoved face down into the concrete. Ashley screamed, as she heard footsteps around her, and camera shutters flashing. She stood back up, running towards the bathroom. She. Was. going. To. pay!!!

A few hours later, the entire class arrived. Ashley took control of the back row of the bus, her makeup fixed and perfect. Her boyfriend sat beside her, and they talked the whole way. She'd made sure to sit far away from Alexa, and her fat ass girlfriend, but she kept seeing the guy they were sitting with turn around and cast a look at Daniel. When they got to the campsite, however, Ashley wanted to scream. There was dirt EVERYWHERE, NO outlets, no place to plug ANYTHINg IN! How would she blow dry her hair!? Worst, they set up tents and had to SLEEP IN THEM! On the DIRT, and the GROUND!

She and Daniel got to share a tent, at least, but then came the CAMPFIRE! She had to sit, like, on a LOG, and there was REAL FIRE REALLY CLOSE TO HER! SHE COULD HAVE BURNED TO DEATH!! AND NOBODY CARED!

And then she'd asked where the bathrooms were, and the coach said she had to DIG A HOLE and USE IT! In which case she stormed away from the campsite in pure anger.

Now, the sun was nearly all gone, the moon was hanging, a sliver in the sky, the only light she had. It was growing colder and darker, and she heard these weird noises all around her. She screamed as a bug FLEW onto her, and into her hair.

EWW bugs are real!? I thought they were stupid fake things to scare kids! She thought, shaking the bug away, holding her hand far away from her.

"Found the bitch," A voice shouted through the trees, making Ashley scream again. The person who stepped out was Alexa, her fat girlfriend at her side. Then two more people emerged from the trees, their weird friend who kept looking at Daniel, and Mason, the football capitan.

"What the hell are you doing out here?" Mason shouted.

"What are YOU ALL DOING OUT HERE?" Ashley shot back, twirling her hair around her fingers.

Alexa glared at her. "WE were forced to work together to come find you! Now shut up and let's get back to camp! Zoey, do you remember which way we came?"

Mason opened his mouth, "Of-"

Alexa glared at him. "Shut up! I didn't ask you!" But everyone remained quiet. The sun was gone now, the moon only gave off a little light, making it nearly impossible to see anything.

"I don't r-remember…"Zoey said, facing Alexa.

Alexa gave her a quick hug. "Look, there's hardly any light, we should sleep now, and find the camp in the morning."

"Hell, i'm not sleeping on the ground, with no cover." Mason said. Ashley shouted her agreement, but, to her surprise, Alexa didn't insist.

"I don't give a shit whether you all die or live. I am going to take cover under that fallen tree-" she pointed to a tree, fallen, of course, but gigantic, and propped up right beside a rock. It looked almost.. Fake… like something wanted them to go there. "And if you want to join me, go ahead. If you want to wander around the darkness like an idiot until a wolf or something else catches you, be my guest. Zoey, Jay, I do care about your lives, so you're coming with me."

"According to my studies, she's right," A new, nasally voice piped up. Ashley sighed, realizing who it was- the one who did the homework all the time.

"Where the hell did you come from?" Alexa snapped.

"I saw you all leaving," She explained. "And was curious, so I came. My studies show to use curiosity, anyways, I wanted to say cover is the best choice, if you try to find camp in darkness, you'll get eaten by something nocturnal, meaning it's awake at night. I suggest you take cover and sleep, and find them in the morning."

"Why don't you show us the way back?" Alexa snapped, before Ashley could.

"I don't know the way either, it's too dark," Gail said. "I'm taking cover with you." Ashley rolled her eyes, looking down at the ground. THERE WAS MUD. ON. HER. SHOES. She let out a wail-scream, her BRAND NEW designer shoes, RUINED!

"Shut up," Alexa hissed, "You'll attract other animals. Now, those who want to live, let's go." She didn't wait a moment, marching towards the small cave, her girlfriend, the one who kept staring at Daniel, and the nassly one following. Ashley and Mason didn't move.

"Ugh, whatever," he said at last, and followed. Ashley let out a squeak as the darkness came over her, and she raced towards Mason once more, catching up, and not wanting to be alone in the woods.

"We are going to die, we're all going to die," Ashey said, bursting into tears as she lay her head down on the dirt. ON. PURPOSE. WHAT WAS HAPPENING!?

After a long, LONG time of trying to get comfortable, and trying to find a nice, clean spot, she atlas could lay down, UNCOMFORTABLE, and fall asleep.
