The Lost Of A Day

After his parents and his sister had left his room, Luke pondered this circumstance that had left him quite befuddled.

It would be easy for his parents or even his sister to change the settings on his clock as a prank.

However he thought about his parents' sense of humor and realized that they did not have any to begin with.

It would not be difficult for his sister to do it, however getting their parents to play along with the prank seems a bit over the top for one of her pranks.

Luke reached for his phone which rested on the nearby dresser to check and verify the current date and time.

Was it possible that he slept for an entire day without even knowing, he thought to himself? He had been tired, he thought but the loss of one day due to fatigue seems unbelievable.

Luke's One minus phone lit up as he imputed his password which no one in the household knew.

It was indeed Friday the thirteenth he realized as his phone displayed the date on the screen. It meant that an entire day was gone and that he had indeed slept through it.

'He had lost one, whole day.'

To be confused on your birthday, he thought to himself. As he was about to rest down his phone, it rang in his hand. A picture of his friend Kennrick was displayed on the screen, indicating that his best friend was calling him.

Swiping his finger to answer, he then began questioning Kennrick about what had transpired in school yesterday?

Kennrick began to list the full details of what had happened Wednesday finishing with "and after football practice, you went home because you were tired!"

When Luke heard this, he realized that something was not right because football practice is usually on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

How is it that Kennrick was mixing up Wednesday's events with Thursday unless Thursday never actually happened and even his friend like his parents did not realize it.

Luke decided to meet up with Kennrick at the comic book store which was a few buildings before the school. There he would try to figure out what was really going on.
