Chapter 226- Haunted house adventure

WHAT! No wayyyy!" Rizi immediately denied such an absurd request.

Leo was too young to visit a haunted house and she believe the most nonsensical thing in any amusement park is the haunted house.

Why would someone pay to torture themselves and scare themselves? The most stupid concept!

She had never liked haunted houses in any amusement park since childhood. plus it would be dark and people can take advantage of it which makes it difficult from a security point of view.

"Mommy! Please! Please please please pweaseee!" Leo urged and requested her with puppy eyes.

Rizi looked at Abby with worry, "It's risky!"

"Nothing will happen. I will carry him. Don't you worry Zi!" Abby consoled her.

Rizi scanned her surrounding, but there was nothing suspicious so far. The excitement of kids, young, and adults have made the atmosphere livelier and busier.

"Ok then! Let's go!" Rizi took a deep breath as they walked toward the haunted house.

As tickets were pre-booked, they have to wait for 20 minutes for their turn as two groups were waiting in the queue before them!

"I feel nauseated already!" Rizi murmured under her breath.

Ever since she was a kid, she had liked amusement parks and enjoyed the ride except for this haunted house concept.

She hated it as she find it mentally dreadful and exhausting.

Rizi rolled her eyes in annoyance and cursed under her breath.

Abby giggled at her pale expression. Who would have known the great hacker, the boss of LRD security solutions is afraid of ghosts and haunted houses? Abby felt bad for her as she knew Rizi's aversion towards the haunted house.

"Zi, I can take him. You can wait outside on the other side." Abby said while suppressing her giggle.

Rizi rolled her eyes and huffed, "whatever! I will wait on the other side. Please be careful."

Abby cackled at her response as Rizi didn't even deny waiting on the other side, "oh Zi! Don't worry about us!"

Rizi turned around to leave and to wait for them on the other side.

As she walked away, Abby and Leo grinned at each other.

"Shall we go partner?"

"Yes Aunt Abby!"

"Remember what I told?"

"Yes, if someone touches me, I will call your name!"

"Yes! Good boy! Now let's scared those ghost inside!" Both Abby and Leo entered the haunted hand in hand.

Rizi's heartbeat accelerated as she moved away from Abby and Leo!

As soon as she reached the other side she regretted it.

She should have gone inside with both of them.

Hopefully they both are ok!

Abby is skilled fighter so hopefully nothing bad will happen.

But now there was no point mulling over unwanted thoughts.

Abby can take care of Leo. With that thought in mind Rizi reached the other side which was the exit of the haunted house.

As she walked near the exit, someone bumped into her.

"Hey, are you blind!" Rizi scowled at the man as he had bumped with quite a force.

The man immediately apologised stating he was in rush to get near his children.

Rizi ignore the man and walked past him towards waiting area.

Right now her bigger worry were Abby and Leo!

There was a crowd of more than dozen people waiting for their children or partner to come out of the haunted house.

The whole session of the haunted house was of ten minutes only but Rizi felt it was the longest ten minutes of her life.

Every minute felt like an eternity. With every passing second, she became queasy.

Her heart thudded in worry.

The scream and shrieks of the kids were heard outside which increased her restlessness.

"Anthony! Get ready. We need to barge in!"

"Hold on boss! It's only 3 minutes." Anthony responded immediately.

Rizi felt Anthony roll his eyes at her.

Rizi crossed her arms and kept her gaze firmed the exit door of the haunted house.

"Anthony, let's-"

"Boss, it's only 4 minutes now! For the love if god, it's only been a minute!" Anthony cut her off.

Rizi exhaled loudly, "Damn this feels so long. Have you properly scouted the area?"

"Yes, boss!"

Rizi adjusted her big glasses and scanned her surrounding once again.

Maybe she was just being paranoid!

After a while, she again tap her Bluetooth device, "Anthony! How long-?"

"Boss, although you are pretty; now you are getting on my nerves! It's only 6 minutes boss! Geez have some patience!" Anthony rolled his eyes mentally in the crowd.

He had his eyes and ears all alert but the boss was just being paranoid.

"Ok. Ok. Geez! I know!" Rizi huffed and crossed her arms.

After a few minutes, a loud scream was heard inside the haunted house which made everyone alert including Rizi.

Rizi's eyes glinted in concern and she stomped towards the exit but was stopped by a bodyguard.

"Mam, this is an exit! You cannot go in. If you want to go in then it's on the side -the entry gate!"

Again a loud shrill scream erupted from the haunted house.

"My son is inside! Can you please check if everything is ok in there?" Rizi requested the gaurd.

"Mam, these sound effects are normal. Please wait a few minutes!"

Rizi grew restless hearing screams again but decided to control herself.

It's ok! It's normal sound effects of the haunted house.

She was pacing back and forth and then she observed Abby and Leo giggling and laughing as they came out of the exit gate.

"Aunt Abby! You are so strong! That ghost was about to cry!!" Leo laughed out loud and held Abby's hand as he walked towards the waiting area where Rizi was waiting for them.

"Heh! That little ghost cannot do anything. One punch was enough! You saw how he nearly cried!!" Abby scoffed and raised her hand to show her muscles as she responded with pride.

"
