Finally, Kristo spoke in his mind as he came back from the hardware store. The threw the bag of tools onto the wooden floor.
A new apartment, but not so much of a new year or a new "me". Also be new this apartment has been 2 days old so far.
But hey, you gotta start making up your place somewhere.
EZ-Nails was the word that was embedded onto the box of nails Kristo pulled out from his bag. That and his hammer. Turning on the television, he flicked through the channels, seeing if there was anything good. There wasn't.
Just leave it on then, he said in his mind. The TV will provide some company in the form of noise at least, so it won't be too quiet here.
Picture frames weren't exactly a thing for him, but he looked at the box full of photo frames. There was the one when he was still a kid, with his parents. One picture stood out which was him graduating from university, his parents still by his side. The last picture he took with his parents before they peacefully passed away was still there. He let out a sigh looking at the picture of his parents at an old age.
He nailed down the first photo frame onto the wall, and then proceeded to continue with the rest. He heard the TV going on.
"We've been receiving news reports from people using items from the local hardware store, where apparently the items have been possessed." Kristo's ears perked up as he heard the news, just finishing up the last photo frame. "People have reported that the products they have bought, whether it be hammers, nails, saws and at worst cases, sawblades, have deliberately tried to attack or even injure the buyer. The police are currently investigating whether or not this is part of an attack or something out of a horror movie. They are also consficating several of these items, and warn citizens to either dump or bring their items to the police should they have already bought items from the store."
Kristo stood in front of the television as he watched the entire thing. He could feel the sound of things crashing down to the floor, almost breaking. He turned to see all of his photo frames on the floor, some glass casing which shattered. The nails were floating, and its edges were facing him.
He went straight to the door, and he felt a force hitting him in the leg. He fell down to his knees, and saw the hammer floating about.
One nail zoomed and went through Kristo's collar, pinning him to the wall. One by one, the nails started to pin his arms and his legs. Some nails ricochet off the wall, while a few stabbed him in the abdomen and upper chest. Kristo screamed as the hammer started to hit the nails, sticking him against the wall.
He was a pin up now.
