Hit The Bottom

When the country shut it's border to other countries, all kind of transportation was banned: land, air, and sea travels.

The economy was also abruptly shutdown, every movement was stops. After a day, essential establishments could operate to prevent the shortage of food supply and medical supply. However, operation has also been limited to just 50% of the workforce.

Some essential establishment was not able to continue with the problem of transportation of their workers. While some opted not to, due to the threat of the CoViD19 Virus and the loss will be higher than the yield when do so.

Hospitals are slowly issuing memo that they are now near 100% capacity and can not be able to accommodate any more patients. Extension tents are being made outside to accommodate mild emergency cases by not entering inside the hospital.

You see, the virus is spreading fast. Medical personnel are being infected and dying due to false statements of some patients. While the governments establish quarantine facilities and many more preventive protocols, the citizens are also crying since their jobs is temporary shut down or they have been retrenched.

Life is hard.

People are crying: if not from the virus, from lack of money to buy their everyday necessity, especially food.

LGU's gave ration to each household with the poor being prioritized. However, with the large number of citizen and supplies will only last for a couple of days, anger, frustrations and fear can be felt and manifested everywhere.

Citizens are pleading to open the economy, but somehow it is just so hard to balance out everything since the medical community is also on the edge.

We are in a third world country, the government cannot sustain all its citizens for long with the economy shutdown.

Some cannot understand, while some remains silent and some still believes in the government.

Clearly, there is thin line between health and economy.

Netizens also compared it to other countries who are successfully battling the pandemic, but in my opinion, I believe the government is still doing the best they can give.

It's just that, some officials are really corrupt that no matter how hard some worked, it won't be accounted or noticed since what is more visible are the mistakes other are doing or have done.

A lot of questions. A lot of sentiments.

How will we ever survive this?

As much as I want to read news to be updated, I lessen my social media activity and only hear news when it is time. There are already a lot of negatives on my surroundings, and social media is not helping.

So when you feel you are being overloaded with negativity, stop for a while and remove the sources or connections that is affecting you.
