Chapter 13

Xenon's POV

I don't know why now the whole atmosphere seems to be so quiet. All I could hear was the chirping of a bird. It further weakens the power I have.

What should I do? Do I have to sow dread now? It seemed like magic was motivating me to do that thing.

I went out of my abode and destroyed the houses of the creatures I ruled. Crying, fear, pleading I could hear and feel all around. It only strengthens the power I have.

"I want you all to die!" I shouted. I do not know why. How I did that to them even though I cared about them so much too.

"Stop it, Xenon!" he shouted. The cry of the man I loved. I can see its eyes. Eyes with a sad meaning.

I spread my wing and then hit him with sharp objects. I thought he would avoid that but he didn't.

He caught it with courage. As usual he was ready to face everything.

"Brother!" cry of a child who immediately went in front of it and exposed himself to the body of his older brother.

"Nika!" Tan shouted. I could hear her crying. I could feel the trembling of her body and the softening as she saw that child. I tried to get away with that magic but I couldn't get away.

"Xenon!" he shouted. I saw Copper flying and then she used hee strength on me to help me get rid of the magic that affects me. She overcame that. We heard laughter and loud voices coming from its palms. From time to time my sister appeared.

"My dear sister, I thought you wanted to be powerful, why now do you seem to dislike it?" she asked me with mixed delight in her countenance.

"Yeah, I really want that. But you know what I want more?" I tell to her. I saw her smile disappear from her lips and she looked shocked when I smiled.

"What?" she asked. I used my power to speed up and get close to her as if it were a light that no one saw in my action.

I held her on the neck too tightly.

"To kill you." I said calmly then I tightened my grip on her neck. She tried to get out of my hands but she couldn't. I would have killed it forever with my power if only Mother hadn't come.

The mother I have known since I was a child. "You're indebted!" its cry in rage.

She took her daughter and then went to Tan. "Mother, Tan have nothing to do with us." I calmly say it.

She just smiled at me and then bit Tan's skin causing him to fall down.

"MOTHER!" I shouted. Copper tried to fight Mother with his power. Avoid and truss, avoid and run what Copper did against my Mother.

"Do you think you can handle me? You're wrong!" it shouts before it throws Copper the ball of fire that possesses tremendous power.

I saw Tan run towards Copper before it hit. What is he doing? The whole area lit up. What happened?

"Copper!" in an instant everything shone. That was just the last thing I heard from him before they both disappeared forever.

I was furious with Mother and sister. I don't know why this is happening. I approached Mother as if an enemy would at any moment stab and grab her.

"What are you happy about?" I asked her.

"So happy." she said then laughed.

"Don't worry, I will follow you with them, my dear mother. And I will never forget this good daughter of yours." I said it with my anger.

I don't know how I can cope without Tan now because they did murder them.

"I'll wait for that, Xenon." she told me then grinned and flew into the air. I approached the child I had hurt earlier and then healed her. I succeeded and when she woke up she immediately ran while carrying fear in her eyes.

I tried to revive Copper and Tan but I could do nothing. I can't bring them back. Power cannot bring back what my Mother has killed.

Eventually I felt raindrops on my face. I looked up and saw the rain that accompanied my tears.

"Zed!" I shout here. I don't know why this has to happen.

"Xenon--- Where's Co --- pper?" stutter this question to me. I faced it while crying.

"They're gone. Mother killed them." I said then I cried. He was stunned and fell to his feet and also began to cry. It turned to me from time to time and then it immediately went to me and then hugged me tightly, enough so that I wouldn't get cold because of the water from the rain.

'I'll make sure you will regret this, my mother.'
