Chapter Six: “Choosing Me”

-"your parents invited me, they imagined you had forgotten."

my parents saw him and invited him in, I hadn't told them what happened the other night with Chis. I wonder if they knew about Veronicas parents. As I sneakily ask Chris, why he had come, he gave mea kiss on the cheek and kept walking towards the dining room. He walks towards my brother Sam and they greet each other as if nothing happened between Chris and me. I called Chris up stairs to talk to him, as Cara said "let HIM come to you", and he did.

-"what are you doing here Chris?." I asked him,.

-"your parents invited me over, and I saw this as an opportunity to talk to you face to face."

In my mind it all sounded romantic and fine, but I was still mad at him for not telling me about his relationship with Veronica. He looks at me and grabs me by the head, he kisses me on the forehead and then on the lips. I was paralyzed, I couldn't stop. We're in love. I remember that he's in a relationship with Veronica and I stop him.

-"Chris I can't keep doing this until you brake up with Veronica. You broke my heart the night you chose Veronica over me, that's unforgettable and unforgivable. You have to make a choice." I said.

While walking away from him in my bedroom. He got up and grabbed my arm.

-"I have something important I have to take care of. I'll come back later." He said, as he walked away, said goodnight to my parents and left.

Hours later the party had come to an end, my brother was walking all of his friends out. I had a good time. I was still wondering what Chris had that was so important to do, I went outside and waited for him on the front porch. I've been waiting for him for an hour now, I got up to enter the house and when I turned around to take me more look, he was there, on the grass, sweating from all the running.

-"I waited for you." I said to him.

-"I know..." he said.

He started to walk towards me and I stopped him.

-"you're confusing you know that?"

He smiled at me and approached at me little by little.

-"I broke up with Veronica." He said to me

-"you did?" I asked hoping it was true.

-"yes."

I went down the door steps, I walked towards him slowly. We touched hands, he pulled me closer and kissed me. I knew this was a night i would remember for ever.
