Chapter 36
"Hello little ones" he said to the boys at the gate.
"Hello sir" they both greeted back with a smile on their face.
"How have you two been?" he bends down and looked at the boys with a smile as well.
"We have been good, how about you sir?" Josh asked with sparkling eyes, sensing that his brother again just let his guard down he can't help but mentally face palm, secretly pulling his brother's shirt to his side he smiled so brightly and tried to secretly pull Josh back to his side.
"I have been better" he sighed and looked down 'If it weren't for your father that is' he darkly snarled at the two kids, looking back at them he smiled once again, not a trace of evilness could be found on the man's face.
"Why's that mister?" Josh still leaned in trying to cheer the guy up.
"Josh, dad's here" Ran called out gripping tightly on his brother's hand, looking up his smile brightened when he saw Lumician's face.
"DAD!" Josh beamed and run up to the guy hugging his waist.
"Hey there bright sky" he greeted using Victoria's nickname for the two.
"Night sky" he called out, Ran immediately ran towards Lumician and hid behind him, looking to the guy that was talking to his sons he eyed him well.
"Mr. Neel" he greeted with a smile on his face, tilting his head and raising a brow.
"Who are you?" he asked truly not knowing who this man is.
"Ah, well I guess you have forgotten me" he internally clicked his tongue at the man, oh how he was so mad at the guy in front of him.
"It is I, Jason Frayer" he introduced, hearing his name something finally clicked, 'This is the man that is after my family' he reminded himself.
"Ah, Mr. Frayer, why it has been so long since we last met" he stretched his hand trying to shake the man's hand.
Of course in all honesty he really doesn't know the man, he knows that Lumic might since he was the one running around for the company, but oh well since Mr. Frayer saw him and think he is Lumic he'll just go with the flow.
"It has indeed" he agreed and shook his hand.
"How's your company going?" Lumician asked trying to see any kind of flaw there is, 'Tragic, all because of you' Jason cursed but still smiled.
"It's going well, in fact any time next week maybe I can change the old man's mind and sign my papers" he stated.
"Ah I see" Lumician just nodded and tried to see any other way to break the man, but alas a tug suddenly brought his attention somewhere and there he came face to face with Josh.
"Friday next week is our Family Bonding day, you'll come right?" he looked up to Lumician with expectant eyes, smiling he ruffled his hair.
"Of course bright sky, I wouldn't miss it for the whole world" he promised, hearing what his father said he jumped up and down and cupped Ran's cheek.
"Hear that Ran! Dad's coming as well!" he beamed.
"Speaking of which Mr. Neel, when did you get married?" he asked with an eye brow raised.
'Shoot' smiling he tried not to act all panicky, his mind was screaming error at him and that to abort mission, well if that could easily be done then we would love to just abort mission right then and there.
"Honey, night sky, bright sky" a woman's voice called from a distance.
"Mom!" the two kids called out and dashed towards her, hugging her waist she chuckled at their behavior.
Going towards the two talking men, she smiled at them but oh how Jason thought it was a sweet smile while Lumician thought it was doom and evilness combined, if only he could bolt right out he would've done so the minute she came in.
"Oh? Who might this lovely woman be?" he pretended like he didn't know and didn't meet her from the prior days before.
"This is my wife, Venus Victoria Lumier Neel" Lumician calmly stated, but the statement he just said somehow made his heart flutter and he felt like he was in cloud nine.
Hearing her full name, he muttered a little 'I see' and eyed Victoria intently, his man never mentioned that the girl they were after was one of the business man's daughter, mentally cussing this would definitely bring in a lot of chaos if that man finds out.
"So, when did you two get married?" he asked once again, Victoria moved nearer to Lumician- making him stiffen from the sudden contact; and grabbed the children to put them at the front making them look like a lovely family.
"Our marriage was arranged since I was 18 sir, we're basically married for just two years" she shyly stated, making a blush crept unto her face.
Lumician's eyes widen for a bit, finally understanding what she meant his face got hot, he was now red as a tomato. He can not believe that Victoria could easily say- or lie; that to the man, and God he would be lying if he would say that he is not at all thrilled to have her his wife.
"Ah, I see, well that is how companies works" he smiled and checked his watch.
"It was nice talking to you, Mr. and Mrs. Neel, but I shall be on my way now" he stated and smiled.
"Oh well, hope to see you again soon" Victoria shyly stated and shook the man's hand once.
"Yes, we will see each other again soon, do not worry" in a very suspicious way, bowing his head a little he made his way to his car and drove off.
"That will be next week" whispered Victoria, she and Lumician quickly smiled and waved at the retreating car, ushering the kids to walk with them home they smiled and raced.
"It's going to be next week, maybe" Victoria stated in a hushed tone.
"How'd you know?" raising a brow, they both peacefully walked towards home.
"Girls' intuition" she smirked and chuckled.
"Wow" he breathe out.
"That is so cool!" he beamed and catches up to them.
"Well, better be happy now and think about the war later" she stated in a hushed tone.
With that said and done she bolted towards one of the kids and picked him up, giggling and having fun the happy family walked back towards their home in a happy atmosphere.
After minutes of walking there they finally see door towards their home, the kids immediately dashed towards the said home and opened the door screaming loudly a:
"We're home!" oh God were they loud, but thankfully none of the neighbors were complaining.
"Welcome home, bright sky, night sky" Lumic greeted coming out from the kitchen and wiping his hands with clean cloth, seeing their other father figure they rushed up to him and hugged him tight.
"We're home" Ran stated and beamed at the guy, ruffling their hairs Lumic smiled down at them and soon Lumician and Victoria were at the door.
"Yo! Is dinner ready?" she asked grinning from ear to ear, rolling his eyes he sometimes can't believe this girl.
"Yeah almost, can you prepare the table while I finish it all up?" he asked turning back after getting a peck from the now running children.
"Yeah sure" shrugging her shoulder she calmly went towards the dining area.
"Lum" Lumician started.
"Yeah?" tilting his head towards his brother, there he finds him all serious and for the love of cheese crackers and biscuits this was the first time he ever saw him all serious.
"What is it?" he asked now in his serious mode as well.
"If you're going to the family bond can I at least watch over somewhere?" he asked locking eyes with his brother, if Lumic would be the one to go to their family bond he would want to be the eyes for his family.
"No need for that" he stated and started to walk away.
"Also you'll be the one going, I already have someone in mind to be our eyes" with that said he left Lumician there at the entrance to go to his beloved kitchen.
Upon hearing that he would be the one attending the gathering his frown turned a whole 180, smiling from ear to ear Lumician internally screamed a 'Yes' and pumped his fist in the air.
Standing around and celebrating by himself, Victoria suddenly popped out of nowhere, eyeing Lumician who was clearly happy about something, she raised an eyebrow and shrug it off.
"Meh" she stated in a whisper and waddled towards the kitchen, arriving there she see her ever so beloved 'wife'.
Biting her smirking lip, she slowly got out a small box of juice from the fridge and observe the serious cooking man. She was watching him like a hawk, he was humming some tune that she doesn't really know, slowly stepping forward towards the man she suddenly got an idea and put it into action.
Out of a sudden Lumic felt his butt getting slapped, yelping and jumping from the sudden action he immediately snapped his head to the culprit, turning his head he was met with a grinning Victoria.
"The hell was that for Victoria?" his eye brow creased and a blush crept up his cheek.
"Oh nothing, just felt like doing it" she confessed and leaned against the counter while drinking her juice but her eyes were still on the man.
"What in actually heavens are you really think?" he shook his head and groaned at the woman.
"Oh shush" rolling her eyes she sat up at the counter and dangle feet.
"So my dear wife" she started now putting the empty box of juice down at the table.
"Like I said, I'm a husband" waving her hand and dismissed what Lumic said, she again started at what she was about to say.
"We met with Jason Frayer, ACCIDENTALLY" stressing the word 'accidentally' so that Lumic won't go nuts again, she hoped that his reaction wouldn't be like the last time and thankfully yes it didn't happen.
"Yes? What happened?" he asked now chopping some vegetables.
"Looks like it will be sooner rather than later" she stated oh so calmly with watching him on how he swiftly chopped it all.
"Uh huh" not even sparing a glance he knows that something is also up.
"Oh and he asked for our wedding something yadah yadah" she stated in a bored tone, stopping on his tracks he turned towards the girl, confusion was visible at the mans face.
"What do you mean?" he asked raising an eye brow.
"What wedding?" he asked now really confused and intrigued about the topic at hand, opening her mouth Lumician suddenly butted in at the fridge.
"Well, he knows that we have kids, there's bound to be a question like that sooner or later, no?" listening to Lumician's statement both Victoria and Lumic stared at him wide eyed and mouth agape.
"What?" he asked scratching the back of his neck.
"Is there something wrong with what I said?" confusion and a lot of bewilderment was thrown at the air.
"No, it's not that" Lumic finally spoke.
"It's just that" Victoria motioned her arms to a mind blown kind of a movement.
"That was the most brilliant thing- explanation; that I have ever heard from you" Victoria straightly told the guy by the fridge, puffing his cheeks and stomping his foot.
"I can be a genius too if I really want to" rolling his eyes he took out the jug of water.
"Oh really?" Victoria teased.
"Yes really" taking out a glass he filled it with water.
"But that is IF I really want to" he stated and drank the water in one go.
"But in a honesty and seriousness that could be here right now" Victoria started and think.
"How are we going to pull this off?" she asked glancing back and forth at the brothers.
"Well" Lumic stated as he was now turning the fire off and wiping his hands with the apron.
"Staring next week I will assign some of my men to accompany the kids to school, Lucas, Ran and Josh will be escorted back and forth, from school and out of school" Victoria started to arrange some plates to be brought at the dining area, while Lumician was bringing out some glass for them.
"And?" Victoria pressed on to the subject.
"Should be watched 24/7 when we are not around, and" carefully seating the table and arranging the food he breath out a sigh and looked at Victoria and Lumician.
"Us adults should be wearing some bullet proof vests as well" he smiled and took his apron out.
"What? Why?" Lumician and Victoria asked simultaneously, not really seeing the whole picture.
"Well, that man wants me dead, and by me meaning some of us might get targeted as a warning" he stated like it was the normal thing to do when someone is out to get you.
"Dang, does this mean I could now get a hold of a gun?" Victoria beamed and happily thought of having a gun, seeing her happy face the twins thought twice of handling her a gun.
"Maybe" they both said out loud at the grinning mad woman in front of them both.
