Chapter 39
"Like how in the world could you do this to me? Right in front of me even" Lumic groaned and rubbed his temples, yes he might have been a jerk in their so called relationship but what Lisa was doing to them literally just made him blow.
"For the past three years of our relationship Lumic, you have never been the kind of guy to take care of me" she defended looking at the man straight in the eyes.
"You never even cared, you never bothered telling me about this, you never told me the truth!" she shouted, 'Oh thank the ever so brilliant man to put this room on soundproof' Victoria mentally breathe out.
"Never cared? Oh come on Lisa, I was practically the one who kept you safe while you go jumping on clubs with your girl friends!" all eyes were now on the couple, the three remained mute not wanting to be the center of the attraction.
"Yeah right, if that did happen why didn't you stop me, ha?!" she raised her hand trying to make sense on what kind of shit Lumic was saying.
"You literally kissed a guy the last time you were there" Lumic's darkened recalling at the video he saw a year ago
"What was his name again? Ah yes Alex" he told right out at the open.
"I was drunk!" she defended, Lumic rolled his eyes and looked out at the window and there he saw someone trying to see if anyone was inside, sweat dropping 'He should've known by now that this is a tinted window' he sighed.
"Are you listening to me?!" Lisa shouted slamming her hands on the table.
"If you were such a nice person the world- or even to you; think you are, then you are not" Lumic stated in his coldest and deadliest glare.
"Where were you when your child needed you" he did not ask he did not order to tell but he stated like it was an obvious statement.
"HE'S ADOPTED" she shouted, and of course that's when the lines have crossed, a slap was heard at the closed room.
Their eyes widen, they never would of known this could happen, but truly it was bound to happen when it comes to parenting. There stood a shocked Lisa and a bewildered Lumic, cupping her cheek she looked at the person who just slapped her.
"Victoria" she breathed out her name.
"Adopted or not, since you signed up for it you should take responsibilities in it" she glared daggers at Lisa.
"If you were never prepared in the first place why agree?" she asked taking a step forward, they were of the same height- that is thankfully for Victoria's combat boots that she was wearing.
"Because" she tried to answer, but Victoria yanked her to look out at the window and there she saw, covering her mouth new fresh tears poured out.
"Lucas" she whispered his name, feeling guilty of leaving the poor kid behind and not spending enough time.
"Replace my Lisa's name with my name Lum, I want Lucas on my custody from now on" she ordered, pivoting her heel 'Thank God it's Friday or else I would die in exhaustion' she mentally thanked the heavens.
"No, wait please" grabbing Victoria's arm she begged at the cold hearted woman in front of her.
"Not him" she shook head begging.
"You had your chance my dear" with that Victoria moved forward leaving the woman sobbing at the floor.
"I should probably go after her" Lumician voiced out as if asking permission, standing up he was about to follow the brunette woman, if not for the person who was hugging him from behind.
"Don't go" seeing the state his brother is in, Lumic couldn't help but face palm at the selfish woman whom he dated. Lumician's eyes widen he soon snapped his eyes on Edward asking for help, and of course he sighed and stood up from his seat.
"Lisa" he pitched in saving Lumician, he grabbed her by her shoulder and softly yanked her away, feeling like there was no one on his back now Lumician dashed out.
"Lisa" he again stated her name.
"Why'd you do that" she asked her face down low.
"I had to" he replied.
"You have no right over him" he continued, and with that he took off. Sighing, Lumic now isn't sure of how to interact with the girl, shaking his head he was disappointed.
"I know i have lots of gaps and as well as lots of unfulfilled roles as your boyfriend" he looked at her straightly, his facial expression now turned to sadness and regret.
"I know I should have done better, and I know I should have told you about us and about how you mistaken me for my brother" he took her hand into his, letting Lisa know how he was being sincere and real to her.
"But I didn't, and I couldn't" he frankly told her, snapping her head to finally look at him questions unanswered and questions that bothered her swarm all over her mind.
"I couldn't you were basically still was a stranger when we first met" she smirked, her facial expression screamed 'I-can-not-believe-you' dropping her hands from his warm hands.
"How could you not?! We met when I was ten and you were thirteen! For Christ's sake Lumic!" she bellowed and glared at the man.
"Does our friendship mean so little to you? I have worked so hard trying to please and make you open up to me!" she screeched and wailed, tears again threatening to fall out from her eyes.
"Is it that hard to tell the truth? Is it that hard to break the news to me?" she asked now sobbing her heart out once again.
"Is it!" she screamed, Lumic ruffled his hair and loosen up his tie.
"Yes" one word, it was just one word, but her whole world shattered, she could not believe what he had just said.
"Why?" she asked now trying to calm down, she needed to know why.
"I knew this is how you will react" he stated calmly.
"The person whom you thought you promised to marry and have a family is not the person you thought you knew" she breathed in and out her mouth agape at his words.
"Of course you will go hysteric about it and of course you will be conflicted about it and of course you would chase my brother when you finally let go of me" his advance thinking and calculations made it all sense but oh Lisa wouldn't ever agree to that.
"You think I wouldn't be reasonable enough?" she asked.
"Yes" without anymore words Lisa slapped Lumic right on his face and walked away.
"How dare you, and how could you easily say that to me?" she asked.
"How dare I?" Lumic scoffed, his behavior screamed 'unbelievable'.
"Oh come one Lisa" he scoffed and he looked at her unbelievably.
"You were basically the one who kept on following me wherever I go, you kept on bugging me" Lumic exclaimed trying to keep his temper low.
"Not only that but one freaking day made my life crumble Lisa, one day that you were the reason behind it all" Lumic pin pointed, his index finger brushing off on Lisa's shoulder, he tried not push harder but damn was this girl made him just so angry.
"I thought I finally lost you but guess the heavens were never on my side, because one day, I suddenly found out I was suddenly dating Lisa Heart" he finally finished with a sigh, Lisa stood there, speechless at Lumic's sudden confession, slowly she turned around and walked out.
"We're over, and no I am never handling over Lucas' custody to her" she whispered and quickly dashed away from Lumic's office with fresh tears on her eyes.

"Who does she think she is?!" Victoria groaned and grumbled as she walked away from the group.
"Thinking she can have both men over her" she scoffed and huffed.
"Vi!" a person called snapping her head to the source while also glaring daggers at the person, cowering at her intense glare he shivered and nervously laughed.
"Lucas" Victoria whispered his name, her glare turned soft, she smiled at the young boy and squat.
"Come here Lucas" she motioned her hand to come and so he did, he smiled brightly and skipped towards the woman.
"Hey Vi, have you seen Lumician around?" he asked once he was near her, sighing she put on a tired smile and nod her head.
"I have" she whispered and ruffled her hair, she stood up from her squat and looked for a bench to sit.
"Come, let's wait for him over there" she smiled and took Lucas' hand to intertwine it with hers, sitting at one of the benches the calm and peaceful breeze took Victoria's angriness away.
"Hey Lucas?" Victoria started gaining a little hum from the guy.
"What do you think of Lisa?" she asked looking down at the little boy beside her.
"Well, she is my mother and that I love her" he answered looking down twiddling his thumb Lucas' heart started to ache.
"She may not spend some of her time with me but I still love her" tears soon flowed out of his eyes.
"I understand that she may not feel the same way" he sniffled and wiped his tears away.
"But I am grateful and thankful that she helped dad got me out of the orphanage" feeling a hand at the top of his head he looked up at Victoria who smiled down at him.
"What if I told you that I want to be your mother?" she asked in a very hushed voice, Lucas' eyes widen he had never thought Victoria could be this soft before, but what she told him made his eyes more watery.
"I would love too" he smiled brightly at her, seeing his soft warm smile made her heart warm.
"Victoria! Lucas!" snapping their head to the other person, there they find Lumician running towards them, panting and sheepishly laughing he was now right in front of them.
"Explanation now" Victoria crossed her arms and looked at Lumician intensely, he gulped and rubbed his neck.
"What explanation you talking about Vicky?" he asked nervously.
"What promise was Lisa talking about?" she glared at the man, momentarily forgetting about her gun.
"Well, we once met at someplace when we were around six? or seven maybe?" he thought.
"And? continue" she ordered while patting Lucas' head.
"So we became friends and got really close, but when we were around eight or nine, she or maybe- just maybe cause I don't know if I did agree to it; we made a promise to marry once we're old enough" he sighed and ruffled his head, he soon sat beside Lucas crisscross and faced them.
"Years went by and Lumic told me someone named Lisa was always bugging him, so I told him about her"
"That's it?" she asked, Lumician just shrugged his shoulder and nodded his head.
"Wow" she breathed out and clicked her tongue.
"Enough about that though, Lucas" she called his name, snapping his head to the girl he tilted his head to the side and hummed.
"What were you doing here?" she asked looking quizzically at the young boy.
"Well, Lumician and I both came here together" he explained.
"And although he left me I stayed" he puffed his cheek and raised his chin.
"Sorry about that little blue" sheepishly laughing at the young boy and rubbing his neck Lucas still didn't look at him.
"And what were you doing at Lumic's window" stiffening, he nervously laughed.
"You saw?" he asked while scratching his head.
"We all did hun" she snickered and pat his head.
"Anyways, what's up with Lumic and Lisa?" Lumician asked, confusion and puzzlement is plastered all over his face.
"What do you mean what's up with them?" Lucas asked.
"Like, are they a thing?" he looked around and asked in a whisper, face palming Victoria couldn't help but sigh.
"What is up with your denseness?!" she asked and yelled at the guy, Lumician's eyes widen, he gasped and covered his mouth.
"So they are" he gasped again, his eye brows furrowed and looked at Victoria with an open mouth.
"He never told me about that" he puffed his cheek and looked away.
"Well not anymore" someone said at some distance, the three soon snapped their heads at the new comer.
"Lisa/mom" Lumician and Lucas said simultaneously.
"Victoria"
"Lisa"
The two stared and or glared at each other with as if telepathically exchanging words that should not be said out loud, the two boys gulped and shivered at the intense atmosphere. Finally she turned her gaze at the two boys, from Lumician to Lucas, she smiled at the younger boy and opened her arms.
"Come dear, let's go home" she said to him, Victoria's eye brows furrowed as she stared at the young woman before them, Lucas' eyes glistened he glanced at Victoria and Lumician.
"Lucas" Lisa again called out to the young one.
"But, I don't want to go home" he sniffled, soon enough Victoria again patted the young boys head.
"For a thirteen years old you are one cry baby" she smiled and looked at him, she placed a small kiss on his head and whispered.
"Don't worry, I'll come get you soon" Lisa's eyes glared daggers at the brunette having enough of her so called heroic acts, she made her way to them and yanked Lucas away from them.
