Chapter 40

Arriving home Victoria immediately dropped down at the sofa, a long sigh soon escaped her lip as she looked up at the ceiling, 'Who knew coming back was this tiring' she groaned and pinched her temples.

"Vic?" Lumician called out with a soft voice, turning her head to the man she raised an eye brow at him.

"What?" she asked trying to contain her bottled up emotions, sighing he knew she was upset and that anytime soon she would explode, he slowly made his way to her and plopped down beside her.

"You can punch me if you want" he stated trying to make her feel better.

"Punching you would make it bad, I wouldn't ever do that" she answered leaning back and closing her eyes.

"Well, I can always hear you out" he softly smiled even though he knew she wasn't looking, sighing she opened up her eyes and glanced at the man.

"I just-" she sighed and inhaled back a strength not to punch something out of anger.

"If it weren't for Jason Frayer, Lisa wouldn't have found out" she eye brows furrowed thinking of the man, she mentally noted to punch the guy in his face when they would soon meet.

"What do you mean?" he asked, confusion was again visible at Lumician's face.

"He was at the entrance when I walked out, sadly he called me by my full name" Lumician's eye brows met and squinted his eyes on her.

"So? Just because of your full name?" he asked really not getting the full idea.

"Mrs. Venus Victoria Lumier - Neel" she quoted out while also having a hand gesture, as soon as he apprehend what Victoria was talking about his mouth formed an 'o' and finally confusion left his face.

"Yeah, and out of nowhere Lisa was there, she heard what Jason addressed me, then boom" she motioned her hands in a 'mind blown' gesture.

"And soon shit went down" she put her hand down and sighed.

"I am so over this drama" she concluded as she laid down, her head was at Lumician's lap.

"Ah, the books were right, laps are one of the best pillow there is" she joked trying to lighten up the mood, shaking his head he smiled down at her and just stroked her brunette hair.

"Rest up" he whispered.

"No need to tell me twice" she retorted and smirked.

"One last thing" she commented while looking directly into his eyes.

"And that is?" he questioned.

"Why do you keep on running away from Lisa?" an eye brow was raised while giving Lumician the question.

"Well, Lumic didn't want me near her, and that every time we met she would always call out Lumic's name, so I thought she would call him and they'll make me go home" he confessed, shrugging her shoulder she went back to looking sideways.

Closing her eyes she inhaled and soon exhaled, feeling like her stress exhaled as well she scooted deeper into the sofa and soon fell asleep. Smiling down at her and stroking her hair, his heart suddenly fluttered and soon nervousness crept unto his system, biting his lower lip he tried to push the feeling away.

Leaning back at the couch he ruffled his hair, 'Why am I getting nervous now?' he asked himself, soon after that his eyes widen 'Goddamn my medication!' as if his whole world dropped he freaked out.

And as if his silent prayers has been heard, the sound of the door opening and closing made way to his ears, he snapped his head towards the entrance an there he saw his little boys, he widely smiled and put his index finger to his lip.

"Come here" he whispered, the two waddled towards Lumician and there they both saw Victoria asleep.

"Can you get my pills on my bedroom?" he asked in a hushed voice.

"Sure thing dad" Josh answered, his eyes lit up and put a thumbs up.

"It's inside the drawer near my bed" he instructed.

"Ran can you please go with Josh?" he plead with a smile, Ran nodded with a hum.

"Sure thing dad" smiling the two soon dashed upstairs and get the pill, he sighed a breath of relief and smiled to himself.

'How could I forget?' he asked himself, placing a hand to his chest he suddenly felt a small piercing pain, silently wincing at the pain. He tried not to make any unnecessary movement to not waken the sleeping woman at his lap, he pathetically laughed at himself and cursed.

"Dad" Josh and Ran bolted to his side and gave him his pill, he smiled and thanked them both.

"Ah, one last thing, can you get me a glass of water?" he asked, Josh bolted right out to the kitchen and came back with a full glass of water on his hand.

"Thanks bright sky" he beamed and ruffled his hair, he looked at Ran and ruffled his hair as well, earning a giggle from him. Taking a pill out of it's container her downed it all in one gulp, setting the empty glass at his side, Ran and Josh looked at Lumician worriedly.

"What?" he asked with a nervous smile.

"Are you alright dad?" Josh asked as he take the empty glass into his hand.

"You look pale" Ran commented, Lumician nervously laughed at the two and again put his index finger into his lip.

"This'll be our little secret ok?" he whispered to the two boys.

Ran and Josh looked at each other and back to Lumician, they reluctantly nodded their head while also gestured zipping their mouth and throwing an invisible key to anywhere. Minutes passed by soon enough Lumician also fell asleep at the couch, Ran and Josh looked at each other with worry plastered all over their face.

"Does mom know?" Josh asked in a whisper.

"I don't know" Ran answered biting his lip.

"Should we tell her?" he again asked, worry and nervousness can be found in the child's voice.

"Should we? We did promise dad" Ran contemplated at the thought of telling Victoria.

"He'll be disappointed if we do" Josh voiced out, glancing at the sleeping duo he sighed and ruffled his hair.

"Let's just keep our mouths shut, that is until something weird happens" Ran called out calculating the terms of weirdness.

"And that weird happening is?" Josh asked, hoping that what ever he thought thinks is not what Ran is thinking about.

"Let's ask big brother Lucas on Monday" Ran glued his eyes on the floor as if something interesting were in it.

"But does he even know?" asked Josh who is getting more worried just by thinking different kind of scenarios.

"You don't have to ask anything, I'll do the talking" nodding his head Josh breathed out his worries.

"No point in worrying now, we'll just have to be there for him" determinations was evident in the two boys face, they nodded once and planned out what to do for their father.

Sighing, they put on a tired smile and waddled their ways to the sleeping pair, silently and slowly Josh curled up beside Lumician while Ran curled up besides Victoria, a contented sigh soon escaped their lips and slept as well.

"How's the plan going?" he asked the man in black tux.

"It's going smoothly sir, we have contacted the school's principal" he stated with a bank expression on his face, smirking he stood up and looked at his window.

"How about the thing I told you about?" he asked in a side view, in his peripheral vision he could make out his man smiling.

"All under control sir" he stated in a smile.

"That's good, that's good" he triumphantly smiled at himself back at the window where his own silhouette could be made.

"Oh, and first thing tomorrow, could you send out our wedding gift to Mr. Neel?" he turned to his man with an evil smirk on his face.

"Yes sir. Frayer" his man agreed and soon left him at his office, Jason Frayer plopped down to his chair and took out the pictures he caught.

One by one he scattered the pictures over his table, a picture of three kids, two girls and the man- Mr. Neel; himself. There were pictures of him and Victoria hanging out with Lucas, there were also pictures of Lucas, Ran and Josh, and somehow there was also a picture of Lisa Heart.

But the only picture that fascinated him the most, was the picture of a smiling Victoria while Lumic- clearly could be knows as Lumician; hiding behind a tree, far away from Victoria.

"Ah your weakness" he smirked while holding the photo on his right hand.

"I will get my revenge soon, Mr. Neel" he scoffed and placed his chin on his left palm.

"I wonder how will you react when you see her all bloody?" he laughed evilly at the thought of Lumic being all vulnerable and fragile.

"Pathetic, The Lumic Neel would soon appear pathetic and a fool to the world" he paused and straighten his posture, that was when his smile finally got twisted.

"And after that, good bye Lumic Neel, your soul should rot in hell" he hysterically laughed and scattered the pictures into the air.

"Soon enough Neel, soon enough" he laughed and leaned back on his chair, his eyes narrowed at the picture Lumic Neel, the real one.

"I will soon have your head"

Coming home at six in the evening, he untied his closed tie and groaned. Lumic mumbled a little 'I'm home' and went straight to the living room. Stopping dead on his tracks, there in the sofa- Victoria, Lumician, Josh and Ran; slept peacefully.

He sighed and soon went towards them, he slowly plop down at Josh's side and leaned his back further into the sofa, Lumic let out a contented sigh out of his lip. Eyeing the sleeping family, his eyes soon got glued at the sleeping brunette.

"Venus" Lumic breathed out while rubbing his face with both of his hands, frustration and stress was building over the mans shoulder.

Closing his eyes he was prepared for sleep to consume him, but alas instead of a dream it was a wild banging on the door and a loud yell got him to bolt right up, squinting his eyes he groaned and went to answer the door. Shifting from their position, Ran and Josh soon woke up and rubbed their sleepy eyes, yawning they looked around and followed the noise.

"What in actual hell?" Victoria groaned as she sit up.

"Who in hell is that?" she grumbled and stormed off to the source of shouting, arriving at the scene there she found a wailing Lisa- at the arms of Lumic; that is trying to break free.

"Let me go! I need to see him!" she complained trying to get away from Lumic's arms, having had enough he tried to gently pushed her away but alas she landed right on her butt.

"What's the matter with you?!" Lumic shouted, finally loosing his temper for the girl, she wailed and tried to get up but failed miserably.

"Are you drunk?" Lumic questioned while narrowing his eyes at the young girl.

Lisa stood up wobbly, swaying from side to side while also steadying her composure, narrowing her eyes at the man before her she pointed her index finger at him and hiccupped.

"Are you, accusing me, of being, drunk?" she shot right back with hiccups on her question.

"Dad!" snapping their heads to the voice, there they find Lucas with a scared and worried look.

"Lucas" Lumic greeted hugging the poor scared blue little boy.

"Why if it isn't our adorable 'adopted' son" she scoffed and laughed while swaying from side to side.

"I need Lumi" she stated as she squinted her eyes.

"What's going on? What's the ruckus about?" snapping their head at the new voice, there stood at the entrance door Lumician while rubbing his eyes.

Seeing that all eyes were now on him, he stood there dumbfounded at the sudden attention he was getting from all of the people that stood outside the door. Victoria narrowed her eyes on Lisa who was intently staring at Lumician, she crossed her arms and moved a little to the side where Lisa couldn't see him anymore.

"I told you, he's mine" Victoria stated in a deep voice.

"He, isn't yours, to begin with" Lisa hiccupped and smirked, Victoria just smiled and winked.

"Or isn't he?" she teased, without anymore words Lisa angrily swayed towards Victoria.

"You sneaky little-" didn't even get to finish her words, men in black tux yanked Lisa to their way.

"Lumic" someone voiced out.

"Jane" Lumic greeted.

"Glad you could have make it, or else someone was going to do it her way" Lumic sighed and rubbed his temples.

"I'm so so sorry for my younger sisters behavior" she apologized while looking down.

"It's alright, at least no one was harmed" Victoria commented as she looked at the children.

"Just scared perhaps" she whispered and sighed.

"I'll get them inside, come on Lucas, Josh, Ran, let's give them some time" Victoria ushered the scared kids inside.
