Annie looked in the mirror with an hollow eyes. She turned around, and even though she pushed her belly in with her hands as much as she could, something was wrong. She smoothed her bare skin and then draped her fingers into her flesh. Her sight became blurred by tears as she went to the bathroom feeling dizzy. Her heart rumbled furiously in his ears, her breathing accelerating. No matter how fast and how deep she breathed, it felt like she was going to suffocate any minute. She leaned over the toilet and started vomiting. When her stomach wasn't returning it's contents at the moment, Annie was even more desperate for air.
„No, this can't be. No! No! NO!"– she cried out loudly, prompting herself to vomit again. Her body trembled wildly, the lights moved rapidly around her. She collapsed powerlessly on the floor. Her stomach was twitching, but after a few minutes she was lying motionlessly on the ground. She looked at her hands tiredly.
She spent nearly half an hour like this before she heard footsteps.Every inch of her body resisted, but she got up and stumbled back into her room. She quickly turned off the lights and went to bed. Whoever came home, she didn't want to talk to them. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She just wanted to disappear from the surface of the earth.
When Annie woke up a few hours later, she felt much better. She took her cell phone from the nightstand and automatically searched for the number she calls in distress. The phone went to voicemail.
„Dan, I need you. Please come over after school tomorrow."
„Annie, are you awake?" Annie's mother asked from the other side of the door.
„I just woke up."
„Are you coming down for dinner?"
„Yes, just a minute." Annie picked up her towel and took a bath. No use. There are some things that cannot be washed away.
