The park was as empty as the rest of the world. Lucky's arms were folded across her chest and she sat crossed legged on a park bench. Mumbling incoherently to herself, the bus had been parked inside the car park. Lazily and sloppily, everyone had practically flown out of the doors.

Lucky could feel the cold bite at her fingers, her hair tangling in snowflakes. She closed her eyes, seeing the monster lady from her dream. The Shadow Lady. Created of smoke and mist, beaming red eyes that shone through the thickness blanket of darkness.

Lucky's eyes were closed, and her head fell into her hands. Sighing deeply. She felt a presence behind her, turning her head she saw Spartan. He sat down, back next to hers. She kept her eyes close and turned her head. Leaning against his shoulder.

"You feeling okay?"

"Not really," Lucky's voice was quiet, strained and barely passing through her lips. Spartan hummed.

"The dream?"

"Yeah"

"Was it that bad?"

"It was,"

Lucky looked up and saw Celia running through the snow, gripping onto the monkey bars. Struggling to hoist herself up. But managing to, nonetheless. She smiled brightly, but it immediately dropped when she saw something.

Her eyes grew wide. "G-Guys… what is that?"

Lucky and Bella raced to her side. Hoisting themselves onto the play equipment, Lucky looked up and she saw it. The tall man, standing amongst the trees. Watching them all with an intent stare, if it could even see- considering there were no eyes. There wasn't a mouth, or a nose, from what Lucky could see.

She just saw a blank face.

White as the snow beneath them. Lucky felt herself gulp as she heard something buzz in the back of her head. Bella noticed the man to and furrowed her brows.

"I might be another weird creature" she mumbled. Celia shrugged her shoulders.

"Whatever it is, I don't want it coming any closer" Lucky turned and looked at her friend. The mop of curled hair that sat on Celia's head had been dragged back in a short ponytail. Lucky could see the bruising on her friends neck slowly close over.

"Raven!" Lucky called out the boy already running off to the bus. "Alright everyone, we need to pack up and get out!"

There were some disgruntled stares, but everyone obeyed, nonetheless. Lucky stared back at the same spot and saw nothing, she gulped. Something told her that wasn't good. Celia flew off the monkey bars and landed on the ground, Bella swiftly following.

Lucky remained, quietly watching and waiting. She bit her lower lip, before following. Chewing the inside of her cheek as she rushed. Grabbing her backpack from the table and Spartan not far behind her.

He stared out at the forest, watching the world. Raven began a head count, he then froze. "Where's Shaun and Alonso?"

"Al wasn't feeling well, so Shaun went with him to the toile-" Alice was cut off by a loud scream. They watched Shaun run out of the toilet block, blood covering his body. Lucky found her eyes widening and she stepped back into Spartan. She choked on her own air as she watched a deranged Alonso bolt out of the toilets and tackle Shaun to the ground.

Alice found her voice and screamed.

"Everyone, get down!" Raven screamed. Spartan and Lucky bolting on and slamming to the floor. Raven closed the doors and Alonso looked up. His eyes were devoid of any colour of emotion. Black and white stained. His mouth covered in blood and his teeth stained. Lucky felt herself grow weak in her gut.

The bus lurched forward as quick as it could go, speeding down the highway. Lucky gripped onto the metal pole, sitting on the floor. Quietly thinking to herself. She remained that way for a long time. Thinking and thinking. The carousel never once slowing down to let her leave. It only kept spinning and spinning. The horses slowly losing their grip and flying off.

Lucky was next, she could feel it-

"Hey," she sat her head up and turned. Harry sat next to her, his cheeky grin on his face. "I've never seen you this quiet before"

"I've never seen a person eat another person" Lucky responded quietly; knees drawn into her chest. Harry tilted his head, side to side.

"Fair point," he chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Look, I know it's pretty rough to take in, but between you and me. Some of the guys back there kinda need you to take charge. They wouldn't admit it though"

Lucky felt a small smile creep onto her lips she and Harry chuckled. She looked out the window. How many more of them would fall? Like chess pieces in a game of logic and chance. Would she even live up to her nickname, or would she fall into a crazed spiralled mess?

She sighed stiffly. Licking her lips. Only time will tell, she supposed.

Bella and Celia were walking around the woods. Lucky and Harry behind them. The bus was forced to a stop as Raven began filling up the tanks, they managed to get a good distance away from where they were and it was decided to fill the bus's tanks before it was too late.

Now, two groups of four had left the bus on either side of the highway to explore the surroundings.

Lucky had gone with Harry, Celia and Bella to explore. Well, Harry practically dragged her out and threw her over his shoulder. Lucky still felt cold, she missed her jacket. If only the psychos didn't decide to keep it.

You pulled your hoodie down. Covering your body and the sports jumper further. She sniffed as they began covering ground in the overgrowth. Dead grass, snow clinging to it mercilessly. Lucky stepped over a large log. Gripping onto Harry as she almost tripped and fell forward.

"You right?"

"Y-Yeah, if the log stops trying to kill me!"

The small group of four, slid down a small mound of dirt. Sliding into a stone creek. Their feet tapped against the stones. Celia squealing as a rock slipped away and she almost fell face first. Bella was leading the way, gripping the top of the creek and pulling herself up.

Harry came to the bank, Lucky placing her booted foot in his hands. He pushed up and she went flying up onto the bank. Celia went next, rolling across the cold ground. She breathed out. The snow was thinning out now.

But it was still freezing. Celia rubbed her cold stick fingers together. Huffing out softly. Bella and Lucky bent down, grabbing Harry's hands and pulling him up. They looked out towards the small plains around them.

They kept walking, Lucky's eyes wandering the grass. She sniffed the air, and something hit her. She leant forward, gagging. Celia coughed and Bella turned her nose.

"Augh, wh-what is that smell?" Lucky coughed, Harry sniffed.

"I don't know…" Harry responded lowly.

They began walking again, there was tall grass, the scent coming from there. Lucky bit her tongue as she approached it. Celia and Bella not far behind and Harry looking around the large tree. There was a large patch of grass that had been squashed down in the middle, something laying there for a long period of time.

Lucky saw it then. A large male moose dead on the ground. Eyes slowly turning a pale blank white. Lucky gulped, blood gushed out of its body. Cuts scrapes and large incisions all throughout. Lucky felt her knees grow weak at the sight. She backed away, trying to stop herself from vomiting.

Celia looked at it and tried to stop herself from screaming. They began to water, slowly falling down her face. She rubbed them away harshly, sniffing. Bella raised a brow.

"What?" Bella asked, walking towards Lucky and taking a peek over the grass, "Oh my god!"

"Y-Yeah, p-pretty bloody if y-you ask me"

Bella's eyes widened and she spun around, facing a man. Blood stained his clothes and hatchets in his hands. Goggles over his eyes and a mask covering the lower half of his face. He tilted his head as Lucky stood up, staring aggressively at him.

Celia leapt behind Bella, staring around at another man approaching. Her back pressed against Bella's and she stared with her anxiety slowly rising more and more in her body. Harry was seen at the tree, another man walking towards him.

"N-Now… what're are w-we gonna d-do with you all?" the man asked, thinking. "M-Maybe we should chop that l-lucky r-rabbit's f-foot clean off!" Celia's eyes widened at this and she sucked in a sharp breath. The man chuckling at this, the hooded one in front of them snapped lowly.

"Enough Toby,"

Bella grabbed Lucky and Celia and mumbled lowly. "We're gonna run, okay? Go as fast as you can and don't you dare stop running, you hear me?"

"Y-Yeah…" Celia mumbled a response. Bella let go.

"Follow my lead" she mumbled softly. Lucky stared at the man in fear, Celia back further into Bella as the hooded man took a step towards them. She turned her head and saw Harry watching them, waiting for their cue.

Lucky watched as the world lost its value of time, Bella's leg flung forward, and her body bolted past the man. Celia following and Lucky not far behind. Harry took this and bolted to his left. The four teens leapt into the creek, Harry helping the girls up. Bella and Lucky grabbing him and pulling him.

Barely missing a gloved hand reaching out to grab him. Bella led the way, leaping over overgrowths and logs. Celia and Lucky swiftly following. Harry was at the end and swiftly took a sharp turn, something banged, and Celia felt a squeal fly out of her throat.

They had a fucking gun!?

Lucky's eyes were wide, and they dove out of the clearing, screaming for the bus to start. Danny's group were just getting on and he looked with wide eyes as the small group of four bolted towards the bus. He leapt on and ran out of the way. As soon as Harry's foot collided with the step the bus bounced forward. Danny looked out the window and another bang echoed. His body falling back.

A hole right between his eyes. Celia screamed and Bella felt her own terror rise in her throat. Lucky turned away, other screams and shouts echoed through the bus's tight space as they drove away. Everyone ducking under the windows and not daring to look up.

Lucky felt her breath become tangled and dishevelled. She huffed and hugged her arms.

Everyone was afraid to get off the bus, but the majority of people wanted to give Danny a proper send off, his sister included. Lucky remained quiet as Raven muttered a few words and they merely stood in a thickened and depressed silence, one that didn't dare let them utter a word.

Lucky could feel tears build in her eyes, good-bye friends. Danny, Alonso, Shaun, Bea, Francine, Eleanor and Emmie. All young and all not ready to go. Lucky swallowed drily; they were on their own now.

Because no matter where they were going, Lucky had a feeling they weren't going to get the help they needed. Lucky closed her eyes, wanting to escape the world once and for all. She wanted the world to just go away, to go back home to her dad. To think about what she wanted to do after school and spend her life at home, with her family.

"Poor bugger" Harry mumbled.

"Okay, everyone, time to get back on the bus" Raven ordered softly. The smaller class broke apart, heading back to the bus. Leaving Danny's body in ditch. Covered the best they could and leaving a makeshift sign that his body was there. Celia and Lucky sat on the ground and wrote in the snow and dirt. His name, his assumed date of birth, they only really knew the year of when he was born and the current year. They couldn't remember and didn't know the month. Though Lucky believed it was the end of the weekend, or maybe it was Monday.

They turned away. Walking away from the bare excuse for a grave and slowly walked to the bus. Blood still littered the flooring, dried and a terrible reminder of what happened.

Lucky remained quiet; she was sleeping next to Celia. The shorter female's breaths were soft and gentle. Lucky felt her own eyes close.

She was strapped down when her eyes opened. She felt tears slowly roll down her cheeks. Her hands were tightly tied in front of her and her mouth forced shut. Her legs were bound by the same material and she growled out as she saw a man approach.

He crouched down, his twitching hand falling into her hair. She could see the smile crawling across his face, his mask and goggle were no where to be seen. He seemed thin and his skin was almost a light grey.

He smirked as she flinched, trying to run away from him. His hands grabbed a fistful of her hair and yanked her back to him. A smile grew on his lips and held her tightly. His lips resting on her head. He chuckled.

"Wh-What're you go-going to d-do, Little Clover?"

Lucky tried to struggled out of his grip, but he was relentless. She remained in his hold and wanted to scream out if it weren't for the tape keeping her mouth close. He gripped her sides carelessly, burying his face into her neck.

She squealed the best she could and tried to contort away from him. He chuckled as she fell away and tried to keep rolling.

"M-Maybe I'll ha-have to cut y-your little r-rabbit's foot o-off"

Lucky froze at this. She wanted to run away. How did he know her nicknames? She wasn't sure if he heard Lucky, but it'd make more sense than the other pet names she was given. She tried to keep going but was ultimately picked up by big arms. Strong to, considering they just about fully hoisted her body out of the air like she was nothing.

"Toby stop bothering her"

"G-Geez, you keep ruining o-our fun. B-Besides, she enjoys it"

"She'd rather more relaxing company I'm sure"

"O-Oh yeah, wh-what you provide i-is "relaxing"" Toby retorted. The man holding her scoffed and shifted Lucky in his arms, looking down at her.

"Well, Lucky Clover, shall we go?"

Lucky narrowed her eyes, was he joking? She couldn't say anything, even if she wanted to. He chuckled at her reaction and began wandering away- with her still in his arms. When she closed her eyes, she could feel her body slowly being set down, and the soft hum coming from his lips. She felt warm, she opened her eyes and found herself in front of a fire.

She furrowed her brows. A library filled with books and a large window outlooking the world. She could feel a big and heavy hand on her side, gentling rubbing up and down along her body. She turned her head and watched the white masked man, merely sitting there and reading happily.

Lucky looked around spooked, the scenery had changed so suddenly. She went from being kept in a cramped and rotten hallway to this golden dream of a library. She looked around sheepishly.

"You always do love this place, Little Rabbit" he chuckled. She turned her head to stare at him before focusing on something else. She couldn't understand this for the life of her. A door open and her head shot up. Seeing the hooded man, the masked man lowered his book.

"What is it, Hoodie?"

"It's my turn" he merely mumbled. The masked man rolled his eyes behind his mask and got out of the chair. Lucky falling into the vacant spot. She grumbled beneath the tape and the hooded man looked down at her with confusion. "Why does she?"

"Toby," the masked man replied bluntly.

"Of course," the hooded man mumbled and gently picked Lucky up. She gripped onto him as she almost rolled backwards. He chuckled. "I'd never let you drop Lucky Clover" he mused. Lucky stared at him with wide eyes.

What the hell was this!?

Lucky felt the doors open and it was spring. Birds chirping and flowers blooming. A large oak tree in the middle of a beautiful garden. She felt the bond on her wrists and ankles loosen and fly free. Lucky gulped as she was set down, the tape around her mouth being ripped off. She silenced the scream within her. Two hands grabbed her face and turned her to face the hooded man, he studied her face for a few seconds before mumbling.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to Toby about stopping that" he mumbled. She felt herself be pulled into his lap as they sat under the tree. A spring breeze blowing through. He seemed a little less hand's on than the other two. One liked the fear, one liked the affection and he, he liked presence- apparently. Or so that's what Lucky could gather from these scenarios. She felt herself grow stiff as she heard something smash.

She clutched her arms as she watched in fear the doors slam open and,

She woke up. Her eyes snapped open and she sprung forward breathing heavily. She breathed out roughly gripping her arms, her eyes wide. She could hear the murmuring from outside the bus. She felt confused. She turned and saw the night sky.

Getting up slowly she wandered down the bus's stairs. Outside she could see her friends. She stepped down and was greeted by Harry. He tried to provide a grin, but it was ultimately wiped off once he looked back.

"What's going?"

"Someone, or something's poured out our gas. Which means we only barely have enough gas that's still left in the tank" Raven growled, throwing the empty jerry cans to the ground. Lucky hugged her arms.

"What does that mean then? We have to try and find a gas station?"

"Or we have to venture out on foot to get gas" Harry mumbled. Lucky hugged herself, her goose bumps coming back. She looked down; she could feel her nerves growing. The fear pumping.

Be careful Little Rabbits Foot.
