Regret

"Why do you regret spending time with me? Did you not say that by yourself that you liked each and every second you spent with me? So, why the change now?" Woo-Jin kept his hands on either side of her and blocked her path.

"Tch!" Da-Jung sneered again. She was finding it quite amusing that this man was asking all those questions after these many years. If he had questions to ask why did he never ask them right after they were divorced?

Why take four damn years to ask a single question and cry as if it means everything to you?

She opened and closed her mouth for a few times because she was rendered speechless by seeing him cry. She lifted her hand involuntarily to wipe his tears but stopped midway. Shaking her head, Da-Jung pushed him.

"If you are just going to cry, then cry. I have no answer for you. But just know that I really regret what happened between us and I also regret getting entangled with you again, EVEN NOW!"

Just as Da-Jung was walking to get her purse and leave, Woo-Jin came behind her and hugged her. She was taken aback by his sudden hug and struggled to remove herself from his hold.

"Let go of me! What are you doing? Are you crazy? Just let me go!" She tried to remove his hands which were hugging her by her shoulders but Woo-Jin didn't let go of her. He leaned his head over her shoulder and asked "Why do you hate me this much, Da-Jung? You were the first person to say that you love me so why do you hate me? Why did things end up like this between us?"

Da-Jung heard his voice breaking down as he rested his head on her shoulder and sobbed. She was a little disappointed by what was happening right now and it was softly melting her cold heart but upon thinking of the answer to Woo-Jin's questions, Da-Jung removed his hands which had loosened their hold around her and moved away.

As she noticed him looking back at her with a question mark on his face, she sighed. "There are plenty of reasons for me to hate you. Just… just know that I lost someone precious when you were not around."

"What do you mean by someone precious?" Woo-Jin asked with his nose and tears running wild.

Knowing where this conversation was going, Da-Jung shook her head. "It is better if you don't know about it." She immediately started to walk towards the door but before that, Woo-Jin stopped her by grabbing her wrist.

"What do you mean? What do you mean by it is better for me to not know? Who was that someone precious? Whom did you lose?"

When he kept on asking questions to Da-Jung, she kept an expressionless face rather something that showed that she no longer was interested in this topic and wanted it to get over soon.

But Woo-Jin didn't liked her silence. He grabbed her by her shoulders and shook her. "Tell me! What Someone Precious did you lose? TELLL MEEE!" He kept on shaking her until Da-Jung got irritated by it.

Da-Jung threw his hands away and stopped him.

They both looked into each other's eyes and there were different emotions residing within their eyes. One having eyes filled with curiosity and pain and the other having eyes filled with hurt and sorrow.

Da-Jung was hurt to think about her baby who had died in her arms. She didn't wanted to think about that day again.

Woo-Jin was also hurt because he realized that just him leaving her was not the only reason for Da-Jung to be hating him. Instead, she had many other reasons. And he was hurt to know that she had plenty of reasons to hate him.

It felt as if she never loved him at all!

"Our child." Da-Jung eyed him after she replied to his question. She was irritated by the emotions which were in his eyes. It was as if, she wasn't the one who was hurt but it was Woo-Jin who was hurt. She hated that!

"What? What do you mean by that, Da-Jung? Our child? How?"

Woo-Jin was unable to progress what Da-Jung said. He opened his mouth to speak something but his words were getting caught in his throat.

"You are smart enough to know what I'm talking about, Mr. Yang! The night when you insisted that we do without any protection, made me pregnant." Da-Jung gave a suppressed smile that mocked him.

Yang Woo-Jin thought about the time when he had insisted Da-Jung that they would have an intercourse without any protection. All this while they used protection and Woo-Jin was careful enough to not release inside her.

They both were in the peak of starting their successful life and hence they did not wanted to start a family. So, they had come to a conclusion where they would use protection every time they had an intercourse.

But ever since, they had a fight during their exams, some six-seven months ago, Woo-Jin was resolute to have a family. He believed that if they had a family they would not fall apart.

And despite of Da-Jung declining to his request, Woo-Jin forced her and lastly, Da-Jung agreed. He was glad to make her agree. And he was also happy to think that they would have a child soon if he kept on not using any protection.

But what Woo-Jin didn't expect was that he would divorce her even before Da-Jung got pregnant and that she would lose the child.

He looked at her as if he was torn about the decision he had made. He felt like it was the worst decision that he has ever made in his life.

"I…" He opened and closed his mouth again unable to speak anything.

"Why did you never told me about this, Da-Jung? I mean… if you would have told me, I would have done…"

"Done what? What would you have done, huh? I contacted you many times but you never picked up my call. Forget about that! I even went to your house but you weren't there. I checked on your place multiple times… I called you so many times…"

Unable to hold back her tears, Da-Jung started crying. She began yelling at Woo-Jin asking him where he was when she wanted him the most. If her father was around her, she would not have had any problem but her father wasn't around her, she wanted Woo-Jin by her side atleast, at the time of her delivery.

But….

Alas, he too wasn't AROUND!!!
