Elysia's doubt on her parents...

Laura nodded her head and was about to say something when they heard the horn of two cars along with the screeching sound of the tyres from outside..

Elysia too heard it and looked at her mother who had a wide smile plastered on her face which made her look at her with narrowed eyes.

"Mom.. Why are you behaving like this today?" Elysia asked, still narrowing her eyes.

Laura glanced at her daughter and asked obliviously, "Behaving like what? I'm acting normally like any other day. Why? What happened?"

Shaking her head, Elysia stated wiggling her eyebrows, "No Mom.. You're not actually normal at all...

You seemed to be somewhat more radiant and happier today. What's the matter? Come on, tell me."

Laura became cautious immediately as she knew that her daughter had the eyes of a hawk.

She mentally scolded herself for acting so immaturely and showing her emotions clearly on her face.

Coming out of her thoughts, Laura smiled meekly and tried to justify herself, "Uhmm.. Nothing much, Ely...

It's just that I'm too much happy that we're going to have a friendly dinner after a long time with the Moore family."

Elysia was still not convinced by her mother's justification, so she decided to tell her about the reason of her suspicions on her mother's actions.

"Mom.. it's not the first time that Moore family is visiting us for a dinner. I know that both you and Dad are best friends with uncle and aunty but I never saw you guys being so excited like today..

Moreover, I am also a really good friend of Natasha. Actually, more than a friend, I think of her as my own sister.

But I too never acted like you guys.. Not even now. This triggered me to have doubts on you and Dad who kept smiling from the time I've come here." Elysia said.

Laura awkwardly laughed and tried to divert her daughter's attention from this topic as she said, "Ely darling.. There's nothing like what you're thinking..

Look, it's already so late. So, go get ready and let me welcome our guests. Go go.. shoo… shoo.."

Elysia nodded her head and left for her bedroom, leaving the topic there.

Laura sighed at the successful attempt of her diverting her daughter's mind and went outside of the kitchen to meet her soon to be in-laws family.

----

Living room…

Moore family had just entered when Laura came with two maids following her who had some beverages and snacks in their hands.

Emma who was sitting on Aaron's lap, looked at her another favourite grandmother excitedly and started clapping her hands.

Laura smiled at her and took the seat beside her husband before taking little Emma in her arms.

"Granma.. Emma missed you." Emma said with a pouty face.

"Aww! My baby! Grandma missed you too." Laura said kissing her rosy cheeks which made her burst into fits of giggles.

She then turned towards her best friend Ava and her husband George and greeted them sweetly.

After that, she looked at the good looking couple who were beaming at her with a wide smile and said, "Finally, you both got some time to visit us..

Both of you... Adam and Natasha, always give me excuses of work to not visit me. So it's my great luck that I can finally see you at my home after days.."

Adam chuckled and said, "We are extremely sorry aunty. We were really busy with our work otherwise we would surely have come to meet you earlier."

Natasha grinned, seeing her favourite aunty making a huffed face and got up from her seat to sit beside her.

Hugging her from side, she tried to pacify Laura, "Ohh come on, aunty. Don't be a drama queen like my mom right now. You know how much we love you, right!"
