The sudden question made her blush all of a sudden, catching her off-guard. Seeing her blush like that made Lucas smirk in amusement tho. The way how expression changed so fast was really adorable. It only made him want to tease her more but before he could, she leaned away, straightening her back and turning her gaze to her plate just so she could avoid his beautiful, mischievous eyes.
What should she answer him? She sat on her seat, restless. Should she allow him? She has never kissed other men aside from Jason. Kissing someone she didn't even love was... Something unimaginable but... she would still have to do it with him since they were going to end up sleeping together on their wedding night, right?
"If you don't want to-"
"I-It's okay... if we have to act as couples... just not on the lips." She stuttered shyly.
"Which lips?" He asked, smirking teasingly.
His words only end up making her a blushing mess. She was not used in this kind of dirty flirts. "T-That's... that's..."
A soft laugh came from him, "I'm kidding, kidding. Don't worry, I won't be forcing anything to you as long as I don't have your permission."
She finally looked back at him this time, with a glare. "Don't tease me like that."
"You're being so adorable, how can I not?" He chuckled. "By the way, I am not allowed to see somebody else within 3 months, yes? I am going to impress your grandpa after all."
"Well, technically, yeah." She sighed. "You can still do whatever you want, I'm not going to hold you back. Just don't get caught."
"Trying my best not to get caught is harder than me having no reason to get caught. I'd be loyal within 3 months." He picked up his fork and added before he continued eating, "I have no one in mind after all."
"Then I'll do the same." Although it's not like she was going to fall for anyone. Just like him, she began eating her food.
"After this, where should we go?" She asked as she began eating the slice of the chocolate cake she ordered for dessert.
"Are amusement parks your thing?" He replied with another question.
She chuckled and grinned, "Yeah, it is. Are you going to take me there?"
"Well if you answered like that, then I'll feel bad if I don't take you there." Lucas chuckled a bit. He a piece of his fluffed pancake and placed it near her mouth. "Here have some."
She ended up looking at what he was offering. He really knew how to flirt and make a girl's heart race. She chuckled inwardly at the thought and decided to lean forward a bit just so she could eat what he offered. "Mm... Thank you."
"Feed me yours too." He opened his mouth and waited.
Ah... so that's what he was after. She lightly shook her head as she chuckled before she sliced a small piece using her fork. She reached out and fed him the cake.
"Mmm, sweets aren't my forte after all." He remarked after eating it.
Violet blinked a few times, "Then what do you like? Could it be... You like salty things like fish?"
"I like fish indeed. I don't know with the majority of the salty things but yeah, I like fish." He grinned.
She chuckled, "No wonder you do, after all, you're like a human cat."
"I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment."
After finishing their food, Lucas paid for it.
As they were about to leave the place, Violet noticed that one of the staff gave Lucas a cage with a cat in it.
"You're going to bring one home?" She couldn't help but ask. Were they even allowed to bring home a cat from a cafe?
"The owner said that this cat is the oldest among the bunch. She said that she can no longer entertain guests as she should be so she's up for adoption. Taking care of old cats isn't hard. Most of the time they're pretty steady. The owner also said that she's almost at the end of her life so it'll be nice to have her last home fun." He said and was carrying the old cat's cage carefully. "You wanna take care of her or should I?"
The cat meowed to which its sound is already cracked out of old age.
"Ah! I would love to take care of her!" She grinned happily. "My cats are good children. Should we pass by my place first and drop her by?"
"Did you brought your own car?"
"No... I don't have a car." She preferred taking public transport since the places in the town were only nearby.
"Fortunately I do. It's essential to drive smoothly and not to stress Grandma that much." He said as they began heading out of the place. They walked towards a red TranStar Dagger that was parked in front of the establishment. Violet really didn't notice it earlier since she wasn't fond of cars like these. She rather has classic, vintage cars after all.
Although right now, his car definitely caught the eye of every passerby.
Lucas's handsome looks and aura really complimented with the car though, as if the car was made for him. A few ladies who saw him open the car's door were lowkey fangirling while watching him. But when they saw that he's with her, they all pouted. Ah... it was only normal for a beautiful being like him to be taken, right?
Violet went and sat at the backseat just so she could accompany the cat. Right at that moment, her attention was already stolen by the cat.
On the other hand, the man ended up smiling when he took a glance at her and saw her motherly eyes towards the cat.
"Where do you live, Vivi?"
"West Street, Forbes Apartment." She replied without looking away from her newfound love. "Ah... I already love her, she's so adorable." She finally turned her gaze to him, smiling brightly.
He couldn't help but smile back when he saw such expression from her from the rearview mirror. "With that kind of face you're showing, every creature will surely love you." He turned his eyes back on the street since he was driving. "Will the other cats make her happy?"
"Well, Cream and Misery are the types to cuddle with others while Slay will most likely ignore. Virus, on the other hand, he's a pretty mischievous cat. He's unpredictable but I think he won't fight since Grandma is an aged cat and Virus is still a bit young. He might just ignore her or try to play with her."
He chuckled, "A pretty unique family you got there."
