I found you

A whole month has passed and my everyday has consisted of, training, home, training, home.

Doxa advised not to check the news so I'd focus on my training, but the more she insists, the more I want to do it.

Though, I haven't been able to connect with Hades' mind. Even he doesn't want me to check up on him. My anxiety has kept me awake for a few nights, I know that I have to trust him, but I still feel worried.

Magus has been training with Adelfo nonstop and some other kids our age, I could feel the Earth rumbling as they trained near the forests. Magus has helped with the agriculture here too, the seeds he brought from the base were good additions to the produce at Epineo.

"You feel different, Magus. The training paid off huh?"

"How different?" He laughed.

"Well, my first impression of you before was, 'this dude is an annoying talkative dolt.', now you're more of like a, 'this dude is a talkative dolt but I can't help be scared for some reason.'"

I told Magus of what I saw at the base when Hades surrendered, I thought he should know since the base was his second home, the other soldiers there were like his family already. I remember how he told me about the capitol holding their loved ones hostage, the only way to secure their safety is for them to die for the wussy power user officials who can't fight. This fuels my rage, thus giving me strength to continue training.

A month flew by so quickly that I don't think I could face the President like this, I haven't controlled my powers completely, and I still pass out when my visions come, though I recover a lot faster now compared before. That is development, I guess.

Adelfo came running towards us, "Persephone! Magus! Doxa is requesting an emergency meeting tonight! The other high ranking officials of Epineo will be there too!"

I stood, "What happened?"

"Something is happening at the capitol, though you have to ask Doxa yourself."

Night came and the other important Epineans arrived together.

Three of them came, I recognized one of them.

I approached and held out my hand, "My name is Persephone."

A man probably in his late fifties or early sixties, though he looked like that actor in the old movie Les Miserables from the 21st century, I think his name was Hugh Jackman?

Two were women, the other was in her late forties or early fifties, she was short and had dark long hair that reached her knees. The other one, I've seen in one of my visions.

She was young, about my age I think? Dark pixie hair, lean but fit. Soldier like.

The girl Hades was destined with.

I kept looking at the girl Hades liked, she was clearly avoiding my gaze too.

I would never imagine her being an Epinean, she was probably keeping an eye on Hades while he was still there.

The chains of destiny, all of us are connected. One has a role to play in another persons life, may it be a tiny insignificant detail.

Thinking about it scares me, as I live my every day, the further I turn away from the normal life I wanted.

We were at Doxa's house, she lead us to her office.

The eight of us stood as Doxa went to the TV, and turned it on.

"For the past month, Harold has been busy. He announced earlier today that Hades will inherit the presidency in a week's time. I don't know what Hera's planning, but the countries we're affiliated with have spoken about their aggression with Harold's successor. There's been a rumor that he has prepared an army to fight Japan, I'm not sure but I presume Hades will lead this. He knows that Japan will concede to let the 500 years of peace continue. He wants Hades to expand the United Front's territory. First it will be Japan, next the world."

I stepped forward, "Hades leading a war? That's absurd. He won't hurt a fly, more so fight the entire world?"

The man spoke, "You don't Harold, he's crazy and he will do anything to get what he wants."

"Riordan's right, he's the Secretary of the United Front." said Doxa

The older woman spoke, "So what are we going to do? Epineo has been hidden all this time, we didn't even join the Power War."

I saw the girl held unto the woman, she definitely wants to save Hades.

"Didn't you see the twins coming of age? What they told was a prophecy?!!! What Persephone spoke was a continuation of Hades' words--"

Doxa played a video of the coming of age, it was Hades. "HA HA HA HA!!!! You all will perish under my powers, THE WORLD WILL BE AGAIN BACK TO ITS PRIMORDIAL STATE! YOU--"

Hades pointed at me, the camera went towards me direction.

"YOU WILL BRING CHAOS TO THIS TIME, AND ALL OF YOUR OTHER LIFETIMES. ACCEPT THE WRATH OF MY INFERNO, MY NYX, MY GAIA!"

Then Doxa forwarded to when it was my turn, "I SEE ALL YOUR PRECIOUS FATED, I SEE ALL YOUR PITIFUL DEATHS. THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT BY THE GODS. I BRING DEATH BUT NOT THE ONE WHO JUDGE. I AM LAST."

Hitagi spoke, "It looked like the both of you were one person."

Well, we're twins. We look the same, I thought.

"The world will be again back to its primordial state? I think he meant the Primordial Ancestry, and perish under my powers, while on Persie's coming of age, I bring death but not the one who judge, now she meant Hades. See what I mean? These two will be either the one who saves the world, or be the death of everyone. Remember what happened during my time?" Doxa added.

"What do you expect us to do?" Magus asked.

"Will have to fight the capitol before Hades sits on the throne."

We arrived at Japan, Charles contacted Doxa and asked if we could meet him here.

"Charles is one of the affiliates of Epineo, there are more of them but Charles is one of the high ranking like Riordan and Vilde."

"Vilde and that other girl, are they mother and daughter?" I asked.

Doxa nodded.

"Vilde is a soldier too but she was stationed at the Scandanavian Peninsula, they deemed Vilde a threat to the capitol because she was too powerful for a powerless human."

Doxa was smiling when she mentioned this about Vilde, "The capitol just makes me laugh, you know? Its proof that what I have at Epineo has made these people stronger than the powerful fools back there."

Charles had long hair, he was tanned and the time he spent at the base made him more muscular than before.

"Thank the gods, Persephone! Even at school, you've always caused me trouble!"

He hugged me tightly, I winked at Hitagi as she smiled when Charles arrived.

It was my first time at Japan, I've always wanted to visit Grandpa's home country, the 500 years of peace has garnered them the title of The Country of Tomorrow. Though, they're still under the United Front but they have their own government.

We traveled to an isolated area with a huge house.

The gates were probably a kilometer away from the house itself.

The doors opened, and a few guards scurried to line the path.

An old dignified man appeared, he was wearing a hakama. I've seen this type of clothing worn by athletes on tournaments like archery, aikido or even karuta.

Doxa bowed, "President."

My eyes widened, I bowed too.

The President hurried to Doxa's, "Oh no, Miss Doxa! Don't bow, I am more suited to bow in front of the person who has given my family everything when my ancestors had nothing to give."

"Makoto, you haven't visited Epineo for quite some time." Doxa added

"Though I have been video calling you every week Miss Doxa." Both of them laughed.

The President looked at me, "So, this must be Persephone? You have Takeo's eyes."

A mental image of myself came to mind, do I really have Grandpa's eyes?

*EXPLOSIONS*

Explosions were heard in the area and a siren suddenly went off.

The guards hurried to secure the President, Adelfo and the other Epineans went to protect Doxa.

Magus held my hand as silence came after the explosions.

The sky dimmed, dark clouds hovered and snow unexpectedly fell.

Loud rumbles continue to echoe, screams from the guards were heard.

One of the guards said, "Masked power users have passed through the first and second security."

Doxa turned to Charles, "Is this a trap, Charles?"

Then she turned to the President, "What did you do, Makoto?"

"I don't know Doxa, I swear I didn't have anything to do with this." Charles replied.

"I have sworn my loyalty to you Miss Doxa, if I betray you, its as if I betrayed my own ancestors."

A chill fell down my spine, the cold we were feeling felt familiar.

Not in the good way though.

The snow instantly turned to water, and a figure emerged.

"I found you."

It was the High Priest.
