Chapter Twenty - 99 Revolutions Tonight

--- Emily's POV ---

A week later Billie and me packed up for the tour.

"Emily, is your stuff packed? We're going to be gone for over a month," Billie asked putting his suitcase and guitars by the door.

"Yes, Billie," I answered.

"Ahh... Okay! The tour bus will be here in a few hours, " Billie smiled.

Adrienne walked into the living room and looked at all the luggage by the door.

"Billie, I've got a strange feeling that something bad is going to happen. You better be safe on tour," she whispered kissing Billie on the cheek.

"I'm sure we'll be safe, Eighty," Billie whispered looking at Adrienne's chocolate brown eyes.

"Emily, I know, me and you haven't gotten in a super close relationship, like Billie and you. Just know, I love you so much. I'm going to miss you so much," she said about to cry.

"Don't cry. I love you too, Ad-Adrie... Mom," I said letting "mom" escape my lips.

"She just called me 'mom', Billie..." She said while tears rolled down her face and I started to hug her.

"C'mon over here dad," I said while Billie walked to the other end of the couch and started crying.

"No, you didn't just say... What I thought you just said, right? Just kidding," Billie replied as he started hugging me.

"Yep, I just did and I'll say it again, dad," I said while Billie was smiling.

About an hour later Adrienne, Billie, and I waited for the tour bus to arrive.

"You can't wait, Emily?" Adrienne asked.

"Nope," I replied.

"Well, I'm going to miss you guys," she answered hugging both of us.

"I'll miss you, too," Billie and me said at the same time.

Billie noticed that the tour bus was pulling into the driveway, then Adrienne walked up the steps and close the door behind her watching Billie, and me step on to the tour bus steps and waived from the screen door.

The tour bus pulled out of the driveway I noticed that Billie had tears rolling down his face.

"What's wrong dad?" I asked comforting him rubbing on his back.

"Ah... Nothing Emily, I can't believe we have this whole thing to ourselves y'know?" He said drying his tears with his tan flannel.

"Yeah, I know," I smiled.

"Well, where do you wanna sleep tonight, Emily? The bunks or the futon? Which one would you like?" He asked sitting down on the couch.

"The bunk, I guess..." I yawned.

"Well, the futon has room for two people just in case you sleep with me, if you get lonely, haha. I think, I should just sleep on the futon, because us old people our backs hurts about everyday, so I think will be a lot more comfortable for me to sleep there," he giggled.

"Well, I'm going to bed, Bill- I mean... Dad," I told him.

"It's fine if you don't want to call me dad, Emily. I don't care what you call me, anyways goodnight, baby," he said kissing me on my forehead.

I feel fast asleep on the bunk it didn't feel as comfortable as my own bad however at least it was a place for me to sleep. During that night, I woke up multiple times whenever the tour bus driver, Ryan, stop to get gas.

Ryan was very quiet, he barely talked much. Billie told me that he was one of the tour bus drivers for multiple tours that Green Day had.

Billie woke me up out of a dead sleep saying, "Good morning, Are you hungry? We're not going to be eating for a while 'cause we still have to get to the hotel." Which the first destination was in Nevada.

"Yeah, you just woke me up," I answered sounding groggy, it was hard to keep my eyes open because of how sleepy I was.

--- Billie's POV ---

I walked into the gas station where we were parked at. I grabbed some of the Starbucks Espressos from out of the gas station fridge. Then I walked into the McDonald's where there was a long line probably for the morning rush.

Ugh... Why can't these people move! I thought to myself.

I noticed multiple people stared at me while others pointed. After two or three more people in front of me left it was my turn to order.

"Hello... What would you like today?" The lady asked her lime green hair caught my attention.

"Uh... I would like to have three bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, three hash browns, and ummm.... Two Cokes and a root beer please..." I answered timidly.

"I can't believe I'm talking to such an icon, I'm a big fan anyway... You want three bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, three hash browns, and one root beer and two Cokes, alright. Mr. Armstrong, that will be $16.21, thank you!" She said blushing.

The she handed me my receipt as I watched the numbers of different people's orders changed on the humongous TV.

"Hey Billie..." Someone whispered tapping on my shoulder. I thought the voice sounded familiar.

I turned around it was Tré with Sara.

"Oh hey, Tré! How... Was..." I heard someone interrupt me saying the order number that was on my receipt.

"Order 86!" Some person shouted.

"Oh, that's me, talk to you guys soon," I smiled walking to go get McDonald's bags to the tour bus.

"Bye, Billie see ya later," Tré smiled before I close the entrance door and walk to the tour bus.

As soon as when I gotten on the tour bus a few moments later we left for Nevada.

It took us about another hour to get to the hotel. I was exhausted and I could barely get any sleep last night. I had to get used to riding a tour bus again. Whenever we walked out of the tour bus and gotten our luggage I noticed Mike, Brittany, Tré, and Sara in the lobby. Waiting to get their keys to their rooms.

"Hey, Billie!" Mike exclaimed about to hug me.

"Hey Mike! It sucks Eighty couldn't come that she had to watch the dogs, Joey and Jakob are on tour, y'know?" I told him.

Whenever Emily and me went into the hotel room I crashed. She appeared tired also. There was only one bed in the hotel room, which meant her and me had to share it.
