Chapter 15

*Louise's point of view*

Rolling my eyes at Alex's behaviour, I managed to shake myself awake and began inspecting the room I was to call my own for the next god only knows how many weeks. The room in itself was the size of my living room back in England yet the extra space didn't seem to be utilised, instead, the room looked quite empty. Quickly casting an eye across the room, I spotted a small chest of drawers, a bed, a mirror and a small table with a mirror. The room was decorated mostly in white and reminded me of a sterile hospital room. Even though I was pretty sure the heating was on, I still felt a chill run through me, be it from the windows being open or just the feeling the room gave me, I walked towards the big curtains that were drawn closed.

In one fluid movement, I pulled them back to reveal a set of patio doors and instantly had my breath taken away by the beautiful sight that was Paris. Gently sliding the doors open, I timidly stepped out onto the balcony where my senses were assaulted with a hundred different sensations. I had always known that other countries would be different but I never knew to what extent. The air I breathed smelled fresh and free of smog for the first time in a very long time. the sun, still high in the sky even though the day was drawing to a close, gently caressed my skin leaving behind a very tingly sensation that caused a smile to flit up to my mouth. I could see two rows of very beautiful and healthy looking trees that lined the roads, being flanked by gorgeous historical buildings that took my breath away, all leading towards the Eiffel tower that stood proudly in the heart. I could only imagine the beauty of the place during the night. It reminded me of a fairytale that I could just get lost in, yet, the sharp knock on my bedroom door brought me firmly back to the harsh reality I lived.

Sighing, I stepped back into my bare sterile room and quickly opened the door only to see a very timid looking girl that did not look older than 16.

'Hello?' i asked confused as to what sh was doing here, 'Can I help you with anything?'

'Eh, no mam... sir just wanted me to tell you that you are to be ready for half six,' the girl who I was going to assume was the maid stammered with a very heavy Parisian accent. I could see her beginning to turn red as I tried to decipher what she said.

'Okay thank you,' I said smiling gently at the maid before closing the door and glancing around for my stuff. It was only now that I realised that I had no wardrobe and my luggage was nowhere in sight. Frowning, I opened the door intending to ask the maid if she knew where my belongings were but she was already gone. Deciding to explore and look for Alex as it was his apartment and he had ordered for my luggage to be taken as I had slept, I found that I was living in a maze. While there may not be a lot of stairs, there was a ridiculous amount of corridors that I was pretty sure all lead to the same place or just a complete dead end. It reminded me too much of the Winchester house.

Finally getting impatient, I started opening random doors while calling Alex's name yet this also came to be fruitless. Reaching the stairs, I descended down them quickly and following my nose walked straight into the kitchen which was where I found Agatha and Alex, around the kitchen table, quietly conversing. It was Alex hat noticed me first and a look of surprise quickly crossed his face.

'Louise, why are you not ready?' he asked frowning, 'did the maid not deliver my message.'

'Oh she did, I just could find my stuff so I was looking for you to see if you knew where they were placed,' I said as I fidgeted with my hands

'I told my driver to simply take it up to your room and the maids were to put the stuff away.' Alex said still frowning as he got up and taking my hand, gently lead me up the stairs and into my room.

'See, they are not here,' I said as I tried to tug my hand out of his as tingly feelings erupted through my arm, yet he didn't seem fazed or even notice my action as he walked up the chest of drawers and started pulling them out.

In five seconds, flat I became the infamous human tomato as a bunch of my underwear came flying out. Instinctively I pushed Alex away shoved my underwear back into their drawers before spinning around and refusing to look at his face which I was sure must've been holding a perverted smirk.

Hearing footsteps walking away from me, I bravely looked up to seem that Alex had walked and now stood in front of my body length mirror. Rolling my eyes I was about to point out that he was being very vain at a time of crisis, only to see him push the mirror and seemingly walked through. Confused I followed him and did the sam and not any more than a few seconds later stood inside what appeared to be a walk in wardrobe only it was filled with a bunch of clothes that were not mine.

'Alex this is not my stuff,' I said confused as I searched through them looking for something familiar only to come up with none, 'i think maybe we brought back a different suitcase that's not mine.'

'How do you know, you're a woman, you probably own more clothes than you know,' he said yet the way said rung alarm bells.

'No, I'm pretty sure I know what's in my wardrobe because I know what I would wear and what I would not, but you don't know that do you?' I asked as I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at him, 'What did you do Alex?'

'I may or may not have bought you a whole new wardrobe,' he said looking slightly contrite, my mouth dropped in horror at the amount that must've cost yet Alex rushed on in order not to allow me to say anything, 'Now that you're my personal assistant, there is a certain way you are going to have to dress and behave.'

'What happened to my other clothes?' I asked as I tried to hold my temper in.

'I had it confiscated?' he said quietly, now looking extremely guilty.

'Alex!' I growled as I gave him a hard whack to his arm. God! I could strangle him!

'Surprise?' he had the nerve to say to me.
