I spent at least an hour sitting on the swing, recalling the happier days of Dekus and my childhood. I had to realize that really all I ever did was trying to undermine him. Things just became less subtle once I found out he was quirkless. Put the 'less subtle' in big, fat quotation marks.
When I was about to go back home, I heard a strange noise. It was like metal clicking on metal making the beat for some strangely disturbing melody. Then I noticed a figure walking through a streetlight on the other side of the road. It sent shivers down my spine.
They were dressed all black with a hood overshadowing their face. The weird sound I had heard was them dragging something along the metal fence and whistling a lullaby-like melody to it. Only when they left the light again, I recognized what they used to make the sounds- a knife.
That person just had to be Deku. He suddenly flicked the knife shut and put it into his pocket, hopped over a fence into a garden and entered the house in it through an open window. The house seemed quite old with its greyish walls, the dirty roof and the vines spreading all over it. The garden was overgrown and messy.
It was very much possible that this was the house of 'the old idiot', aka the man that let Deku live with him. It only made sense that Deku still inhabited his house, even though he was dead. I decided to check it out tomorrow.
Then I went home and finally slept.
I woke up around eight the next morning, decided to skip breakfast and went over to 'Dekus' house. Nothing happened when I first rang the bell. After ringing it five times, I eventually lost patience and decided to leave. Maybe Deku was even at my house already, waiting to threaten my damn life again.
Just then, the door opened to reveal a very tired Deku shielding his eyes from the light with his left hand. He was wearing an oversized dark grey t-shirt, black shorts and his army boots, but untied. In addition to that, he had the heaviest bedhead I had ever seen.
"Jesus fucking Christ, just put the mail down and vanish instead of waking me at this unholy time!" He removed his hand from his eyes by running it through his hair and suddenly noticed I wasn't the fucking mailman. I was about to make a snarky remark, but Deku had already slammed the heavy oak door shut.
A split second later, it opened again. Deku pulled me inside and pinned me to the wall with one arm next to me, and the other across my chest, while he closed the door with his foot. "What are you doing here?! How did you find this place?! And why are you visiting me?!"
He was more than just angry. He was raging. It almost scared me. But luckily just almost. "Calm the fuck down, Deku. I couldn't sleep last night, went for a walk and saw you coming home. If you hadn't made that much ruckus, I wouldn't even have noticed you. That one's on you."
Deku growled lightly and let go of me. Then he rubbed his eyes, visibly irritated. "And your first idea was paying me a visit, yeah?! You're too nosy for your own good." Then he suddenly bashed his foot in between my legs, the steel tip ending up millimeters below my private parts.
"Tell anyone, and I mean anyone, about this place and I'll cut your dick and hands off and shove them up your ass one by one. Moving from the spot while I'm gone results in the same." Having said that, he churned around and stormed up the stair at the side of the room.
I used the time to look where I ended up. The walls in the house were a bit dirty aswell and the wooden floor sandy. Deku didn't clean the house. The room smelled somewhat green. You know when someone uses herbs in a meal and suddenly the whole room smells like plants?
That's what it was like, mixed with a sickly sweet smell. The air was dusty and the window I spotted upstairs blind. Even if the man this house belonged to was only dead since a few weeks, the house hadn't been maintained correctly for months. I wished I knew why that was, but I didn't dare asking Deku.
I liked my dick and hands right where they were, after all.
A few minutes later, Deku showed up at the upper end of the staircase, wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans and tied army boots. "Come up. I don't trust you out of view." His scowl was quite a match for mine. I wordlessly followed him up into the room where he spent his day.
At least when he wasn't having his fun with me.
Dekus room was small, with grey walls, a dark wooden floor and a big, black curtained window. Everything was tinted in a slight twilight. On the right side of the room were two stacked mattresses to form a bed with grey bedding and a wooden drawer. On the left side was a shelf with sloppily stacked up books and notebooks and a desk.
The desk was overflowing with papers, some having drawings, some writing on them, pens and pencils and notes. A few sticky notes were on the wall above, along with a map of the city. Next to the desk was a trashcan brimming over with candy wrappers, paper balls and other garbage.
That was about everything in the room and it made me feel uncomfortable. When we were little, every inch of Dekus room was full of Heroes, especially All Might. This room didn't even have anything seeming closely personal in it, maybe excluding the papers on the desk.
While I was examining his room, Deku was trying to fix something about his hair with the help of a cracked mirror hanging above the drawer. I snickered upon noticing this. "You sure do care about your damn appearance, huh?" He just grinned at me through the mirror. "You don't?"
I didn't have a valid refutation, so I kept quiet. Deku kept on rambling. "I know for a fact that at least half of humanity is uglier than me and I don't need to stoop down to their level." I put on a taunting smirk. "Then what about your panda eyes, huh?"
Deku copied my smirk. "It's part of my aesthetics. Also, it's not like I could do anything about it. Lastly, it makes me look a bit like a vampire and I don't have the slightest problem with that." He was right with the last one. His sharp canine teeth were just adding up to it.
Suddenly, he turned around to me. "If you ever need to come to me again for some reason, only after nightfall, got it? That's the only time I'm definitely awake. Waking me up again might result in impotence." He accentuated his threat with snapping his knife open. I shifted backwards a bit. "Oi, why are you even nocturnal?"
Deku tapped his lips with the blade. "Well… The people that still run around after dusk are either drunk idiots or just like me. Less danger, you know? Not that I have a problem taking risks." Now I was glad I normally didn't go out at night. Deku alone was bad enough, but more people like him?
Well, with those I wouldn't have to have any scruples beating back.
Somehow, I wished I wouldn't have entered Deku's territory.
