Henry P.O.V.
It's been three days since the accident happened, but I still didn't know the identity of that woman yet. Nonetheless, I can't forget that mesmerizing beauty of her. I wonder how she is right now. I bet her wounds already healed. She seems twenty years old, same old as me.
"Henry! Henry!"
Steves didn't report to me her identity. He is currently on a business trip together with my Dad and still hasn't arrived.
"Henry!" Suddenly, someone nudges me in my head, which causes me to resurface from my deep thought.
"Ouch! What is it, Allen?" I ask with irritation. My friends chuckle loudly despite the noise from other customers in the bar. "You actually become an idiot, Henry, ever since the accident." Allen's girlfriend, Shaine, added.
I rub the back of my neck and sigh plainly. "Henry, here." Stephen pulls the glass of brandy to me to drink it. But, I am not in the best mood today. "No, I should pass for now. I better go home early today." I say lazily and stand up from the couch.
"Wow! Henry has changed," Ray exclaims, trying to tease me. "Maybe the accident made his life changed for the betterment of his future," Ella adds. They laugh out loud. It really makes my ears hurt from their laugh.
"I should go now. Bye." I walk away from them. I shouldn't mind everything they said to me.
As I arrive at my home, I suddenly notice how quiet my house is. It's always like this ever since I was young. However, no matter how years passed by, I still can't help feeling overwhelmed by being alone.
I lay down on the bed and let my body relax without even thinking of turning the lights on. It's like darkness becomes my best friend and let it engulf me slowly.
I suddenly remember that woman's face. I really can't forget that beautiful face of her. I don't know why, however, somewhere in my heart keeps telling me that we will meet again. Although in my mind, I still haven't forgotten Olivia, and I know my heart only belongs to her. I slowly shut my eyes and feel the serenity in my room.
------------
As the sunrise up and the sunlight shimmer in the window of my room, my phone rings abruptly. I grunt aloud as I force my eyes to open and grab my phone. "Hello,"
"Goddammit, Henry, Steve told me everything about what happened last few days. So, your father and I decided to freeze your credit card and confiscate everything starting today and onwards,"
"What!" I exclaim and widen my eyes in shock.
It is my Mom calling me. I completely forgot that Steve is still working under my Dad's command.
"We will not give your belongings to you until we see some improvements in your behavior, including attending classes. So, you better think carefully about it. You're already twenty years old, and a college student, so, acts like an adult." She abruptly ended the call.
I instantly throw the phone to the wall in extreme exasperation. I couldn't believe that Mom and Dad can do this to their own son.
"Henry,"
Steve knocks on the door and immediately comes into my room without even waiting for my response. "How dare you, Steve, for telling my parents about the accident. Tell me how much did you tell them?" I snarl at him and glaring my fierce eyes.
"Everything," He replies calmly and smiles widely in front me, which makes me feel an extreme vexation. I clench my hands to grip myself. I really wanted to punch him on his annoying face.
"By the way, I already packed your things and sent them in your dormitory. All I need to do now is to send you to your school as per your father's instructions. Besides, you don't have any other choice right now, Henry." He says.
I groan loudly and stand up while grinning my jaw in frustration.
As we arrive at the school gate, students are walking towards the campus together with their friends. I can see the euphoria within their eyes, which is totally different from what I feel right now while sitting down inside the car and watching them.
"Henry, are you ready?" Steve speaks, looking at me in the rear-view mirror.
"Steve, are you on my side or my father's side? Never mind, asking a stupid question to you is completely useless right now." I immediately get off the car while holding my bag.
"Henry,"
I turn around and see Steve staring at me inside the car. "Here," He gives me a paper that states my schedule. "That's your class schedule, make sure to attend it. Don't worry, Henry, I always stay on your side and keep on watching you. Remember, we are doing this for your sake." He says and starts to drive the car.
I sigh loudly to ease my emotions deep inside and hold my head high as I continue walking through the path to the entrance gate. Students around me started to stare at me and murmuring around. Their lustful eyes looked at me with desires, but I don't mind them.
"Henry!" I hear a familiar voice calling out my name so, I turn around immediately. It turns out to be Ray and Allen together with his girlfriend, Shaine. They can't stop chuckling while looking at me from head to toes.
"Wait, are you also going to join the classes?" I ask and furrowing my brows.
They laugh out loud. "We heard that your parents force you to attend the classes. That's why our parents did it likewise to us. So, we decided to attend classes together." Shaine says and linking her arm to Allen.
"I see, maybe my Dad is behind all of these schemes. I'm sorry, guys, for involving you in these matters." I look at them with an apologetic face.
"Don't be sorry, Henry. Besides, it's time for us to attend school. We wasted our time too much." Stephen says while walking towards us. "Ohh, Steph, you're finally here," Ray says. They grinned widely at me.
"By the way, you probably didn't know about this but, the bell already rang 5 minutes ago." Stephen reminds us, which causes us to be shocked. "Shoot! My parents will freeze my credit card once I'm going to be late or violate any school violation." Ray says while panting as we run together towards the building.
"Same as to me. My parents already confiscate my car and house." I add up and chuckle loudly.
Suddenly, Shaine halts from running and catch her breathing. "Wait! Guys!" She panted and looked at us. We also stop on our way to the door. "What! We should go quickly." Allen screams.
"I know, but do you have any idea what building you're going to?" She points out the large sign outside the building.
"Administration Building"
She's right. We're almost entering the wrong building. Not one of us knows the location of the room.
"Stupid!" Shaine exclaims as we realize her main point.
After we ask some students to guide us to the scheduled room, we finally arrive in our classroom. "We're finally here," We sigh in relief.
As we enter the room, the teacher has already started the discussion. The students' attention is being distracted as they notice our presence in the room. They turn their head towards us and can't stop ogling their eyes at us, especially at me.
"Hey, isn't that Henry Thompson?" Students started to whisper around, confirming my identity.
"Well, you've finally decided to attend classes and yet, late in your day." The teacher says sarcastically and glances at us with a stern face.
"I don't like her fucking face. It's like shit." I could overhear Shaine whispering secretly to Allen. However, the teacher immediately senses Shaine gossiping at her. "What are you whispering at?" She raises her voice and fixing her eyes at Shaine.
"I'm sorry, Miss. It took almost 30 minutes for us to find the room." Ray says, trying to change the topic and distract the teacher.
"Take your seats. We'll discuss it furtherly later." She points out the vacant seat on the last rows. My friends immediately walk towards the seats except me. When I am about to follow them, someone suddenly appears behind me.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Jones, for being late."
I could hear the woman panting hard as she said it to the teacher. "Ms. Miller, you've been absent for five days without telling any valid reason. We'll discuss your sudden absence later after the lunch break together with those newcomers."
I turn around and stare at the teacher with a disgusted face. I suddenly notice the familiar face of the woman in my peripheral vision. I move my eyes towards her and widen my eyes.
"You!" I gasp loudly, which causes her to turn her head towards my direction.
It is that woman who intentionally crashed my car and left the hospital without any proper reason why she did it. She looks so ordinary. She ties her hair in a ponytail and wears high-waist jeans and a large jacket, which fully cover her skin. There is a band-aid attached to her left side cheek, probably due to the accident a few days ago.
"Pardon? Do I know you?" She asks softly.
