It’s Just A Game

It's just a game

I take to the App Store with glee

I can finally buy that game, I'm as happy as can be

My friend and I squeal with excitement

The next few minutes filled with enticement

Seven dollars

That's all it took

To buy this game that couldn't be shook

Sitting in a living room lively as can be

All I had to do is pay a small fee

This game was in my little box

Right now the room filled with talks

I sat there and she did the same

But no need to worry

It's just a game

It's just a game

The last slit fills as it comes onto screen

I was so excited my eyes were a beam

I tap the screen, it turns white

She said it was normal I still smile bright

One word comes on the screen

The company that made it I was living a dream

Finally filled with anticipation

The game comes on a game of creation

I click play she does the same

But no need to worry

It's just a game

It's just a game

I create a new world ready to start

She joins in we won't do it apart

I stare at a tree and start to tap

That not how you do it she says with a laugh

She holds on the screen

The block breaks with a pop

I wasn't putting this down I just couldn't stop

I make a shovel and start to dig

I explore a little and hit a pig

We laugh and play till we have to sleep

My bed made of three wool of a sheep

Later she must go and I must do the same

But no need to worry

It's just a game

It's just a game

It's been a few years I play alone

I've made it far in my tiny home

I've gone far and wide in this small sand box

At this point you can have a pet fox

I've gained some skill I'm able to build

But I still have many rooms to fill

Many have left this beautiful game

But I stuck around as it lost its fame

I'll stay here and see what's to come

As I keep on playing under the blocky sun

I'll keep on playing and have no shame

But no need to worry

It's just a game

It's just a game

I log on one day thinking it's normal

But servers are full that's paranormal

The once desolate land I used to know

Now busy with people and over flow

I get up and jump with glee

The same sort of happiness when I first broke a tree

The servers revived by memes and fun

I'll just keep playing under the blocky sun

I guess people wanted a blast of the past

But I'll always be here playing Minecraft

I'll always be here no matter through what fame

But no need to worry

It's just a game
