To My Parents

Dear Mom

There's no way to wrap my head around your love

How you've always managed to love me no matter what's to come

You're the person I can come to when I need to talk

Or who I can cry with when life gets to tough

You put up with me through all my ups and downs

And you always try and keep me perfectly safe and sound

You trust me no matter what I do

And that's the reason I can't lie to you

You're the most beautiful person I have ever met

I couldn't ask for someone better set

To raise a child as loud and bold as me

I hope when the time comes you'll let me roam out free

I'm not quite ready yet and I'm not sure when I'll be

I love you mom with all my heart, you're in everything I see

Dear Dad

You've taught me how to live, use my morals and my head

You keep me away from boys and laid me in my bed

With all your heart and discipline I've been kept down to earth

But you tell me to dream big for everything it's worth

You've taught me how to build, to engineer, create

You're the true inspiration for my drawings, you're in everything I make

I understand when you're mad it's from a place of heart

Actions have consequences don't lie and never start

As the baby of the family I'm always 'little princess'

Teaching me tips and tricks and giving me time to rest

With ice cream trips and and documentaries galore

You've taught me all I know and more

When things get hard you let me restart

Dear dad I love you with all my heart
