For The Sake Of Love
Sarah got out of the bed and glanced at the poster hanging on the front wall facing her bed. It was a big poster of Chris Evans wearing the costume of Captain America holding his Shield.
She was a fan of Marvel movies and her home was full of marvel superheroes' posters and things. Captain America and Thor were her secret crushes while Hulk was her favorite because her 'characteristics' matched with him.
She did not find Captain America or Thor as she wished, but whom she got, turned out to be worse than Thor's brother Loki. The world of love that she was living in was only full of hallucinations and deception.
His name was Saket Ahuja, the only son of the owner of Ahuja Studios- Romesh Ahuja, who brought Sarah's best-selling book series 'Adventures of Seven Wonders' to the world in the form of films.
She met Saket at a launching party of her seventh and final book. He had returned from America after completing his studies. He had read Sarah's books very carefully. She was being praised by him since they met. He was also talking about work very seriously and earnestly.
His first impression was that of an ambitious person with many creative ideas, who wanted to do lots of things. He wanted to make his father proud of his son by earning more name in the film industry than his father Romesh Ahuja.
Despite being rich, there is no sign of haughtiness or arrogance on his face. He was even humble and gentle with the servants and waiters. When guests came near Sarah to have a toast, he also drank wine on her behalf as she was restrained by her foster parents to drink at parties. Her first impression of him was pretty good.
But who would have known that it was just a carefully arranged trap to capture the fish in the net?
They were 'dating' each other for consecutive six months. Soon, their friendship was transformed into love. Both of them could be seen together at many parties. There was a lot of discussion about them on social media too.
She did not know what kind of relationship it was. For Sarah, the relationship was limited to just walking around hand in hand, talking like lovebirds, going to parties, hiking, or playing games on weekends. Saket never came between her work and her writing as he always inspired Sarah to write good stories.
He was so intelligent, understanding, and caring person towards her. It was inevitable to fall for such a sweet guy. Sarah wanted to start a normal life like her other siblings. She started dreaming about her future together with Saket and starting her own family and to have a peaceful life.
But all this was just her wishful thinking and misconception...
It was early morning and Sarah could hear the hustle bustle below her apartment. Moving the curtains of the window aside, she looked at the bright sun and immediately clutched her head. After adjusting her eyes to the light coming from outside, she managed to look at the sun and smirked for some reason.
She was back to her original state! And the reason was him!
Her eyes were truly opened yesterday when she saw his true face. For her, It was a wake-up call with the loud noise of ringing bells as she came across the harsh reality.
Sarah wanted to get a nice and big house for herself. She had seen a spacious flat in a thirty-storied building in a posh area of Powai, Mumbai along with Saket. They together bought everything new- furniture, electrical appliances, kitchenware, etc. The work of interior decoration was almost done which was enough to show that it was truly a lovers' nest.
Sarah and Saket had decided to live together. Their dream of living together under one roof was going to be fulfilled and Sarah was very happy and excited about it as she was optimistically looking forward to it.
Her home! She was going to live with the person she wanted to spend her life with! The thought was really exciting.
She didn't want to make him wait for her any longer. He said nothing, but she bought the girly clothes and kept them in her wardrobe in the new house.
Her sisters had told her again and again that now she should live and behave like a girl, only then the closeness between Saket and her will grow and for the first time in her life, Sarah took the precious advice of Divya and Drishti seriously. They both took her to the nearest expensive mall and personally bought clothes, a makeup kit, and skincare products for Sarah.
It was a tiring day like hell for her but she endured all nonsense things like waxing, spa, and hair-cut just for the sake of love. Her first and only love-Saket. She was ready to change herself for him.
They were about to shift to their new home on Sunday. On Friday, after finishing the office work, Sarah suddenly made a plan to go to Saket's apartment.
