Chapter [03]

~Sue's POV~

It's Saturday morning, and my cold chubby fingers felt nice against my warm blanket- I stared at my kitty cat Sugar, who was black with white fur on her tummy and paws.  She's ten months old and will be turning one in two months- I'm so excited for her.  I got up, my air conditioner was at 64 degrees, but I didn't care.  I love cold air, and I don't like the heat too much.  Quickly I grabbed Sugar's bowls and went to clean them, feeding her and pouring milk for her.  She ate as I started to brush my hair, quickly she attacked my leg and pranced to the living room as I followed in a playful mood.

I saw her hiding behind the fan, I tried to grab her, but she ran out.  She scurried across the floor, and I got onto my knees... Grabbing her.  "Butt butt!" I grinned, kissing her.

"Sue, that isn't proper. Stand up and let the cat go." My mother said as I sighed, getting up.  "Good morning to you too, mom," I said as she narrowed her eyes, "What's with that tone?" She asked as I chuckled, rubbing my neck.  "I mean- it's funny how you don't say hello but criticize me first thing in the morning. It seems like a joke." I laughed as she glared, "Stop being sensitive and put on appropriate clothes, do your chores afterward." She hissed as I nodded.

I put on some pants and a shirt as I watched my mom leave, quickly I threw off the shirt and pants.  I wore a bra and shorts at this point; I went to do dishes with my headphones.

I was having a calming time with the plates, cold water, music, and fun little bubbles from the soap.  Sugar was on the table, sleeping behind me, so I felt okay.

Suddenly my music turned down a little then went back to normal- a notification?  I always turn off the ringer because I hate the noise- I dried my hands off quickly and pulled out my cell, seeing a text from an unknown number?  I checked the message, "Hey, Smiley; it's me- Ad." I felt a little smile form on my face, "Hey." I glanced up to see my big brother.  "What's up?" I put my phone away, "Put it away; you have chores to do." He barked as I rolled my eyes, grabbing the broom- he walked away, and quickly I messaged Ad back- "Hey, I'd love to talk, but I'm busy at the moment, but I'll text you later- bye~." I bit my lip, feeling excited to talk to him later.
