Chapter [21]

~Justin's POV~

A few days ago, Ad and Sue had a whole romantic serenade at the airport while I ate a burger.  They were sickening that I wanted to hurl my stomach up, but in a good way, I guess?  I hate romance- not my thing.  They've been hanging out, calling, texting, telling me about each other- I kind of wish they would shut up.  They are cute, but dude- I just want to eat my lunch without barfing over some manga sh*t.  Anyway- I've been trying to get better, but it's hard.  Really difficult, in fact- Today, I was going to Kitty's house because Sue wanted me to come over so she could tutor me.

I knocked on the door, and Kitty opened it.  "Hey, Justin." She said as I waved, glancing behind her.  "Is Sue here?" I asked as she shook her head.  "Nope, she went to help Ad unpack, but she'll be back pretty soon, so maybe just come in?"

I nodded to her, and we went in.  We took a seat together as I noticed Sue's tablet on the living room table- "Sue's tablet is here?" I asked as she nodded, "I guess she really didn't tell anyone." Kitty shook her head, "Tell what? Sam, what did Sue not tell me?" I asked as she sighed.  "Sue's... Homeless at the moment. She got kicked out a month ago and is just bouncing back and forth between homes because she really doesn't have a place to settle." Kitty explained.

"What- why didn't she tell anyone!" I barked as Kitty calmed me lightly, "I think she's embarrassed- she barely has enough money to provide for herself, and it's been tough for her to keep up with school, but she wants to be able to help herself, so she's being stubborn." Kitty sighed.

"Ugh, I wish I could help her, but I have nothing at the moment." I sighed in anger.

"If you want to help her- just protect her. I'm not really fond of the idea of her and Ad dating because she's not mentally stable and he seems... Kind of jealous- like very jealous in a toxic way." Kitty explained as I shrugged, "I think they're disgustingly cute..." I picked up the tablet, putting in the password.  "You know her password?" Kitty asked as I nodded, "She's a typical birthday password kind of girl." I chuckled as she nodded; we checked her latest activity and found two accounts on Insta.

"I didn't peg Sue to be a social media stalker," I said as Kitty shrugged.  "She's always been focused on knowing every aspect of a crush, so I'm not too surprised," Kitty said, touching one of the accounts- it was Ad's profile.  We looked through his timeline and found some pictures of them together, "Gross." I blurted as Kitty laughed.

"You think there's a reason she was looking through his profile?" I asked as Kitty shrugged, "Keep scrolling, we might find something." She said.

I scrolled a little more until I found pictures of Ad with a different girl; its date was a few months before he arrived here in town.  "Me and bae-" Kitty read the caption- "Oh sh*t," I said as we tapped the girl's tagged account, taking us to another profile called "Aanu'sLovingFace," I said, scrolling through her timeline. The newest pictures were of her and a new guy- "Ad's ex." Kitty and I said to each other- "They seem to be friends still..." I pointed to them following each other, but Kitty shrugged.

"Maybe they forgot to unfollow each other?" Kitty asked as I shook my head, "Ex's always block each other, but maybe they want to show off their new relationships to make the other jealous."

I growled in annoyance as Kitty shrugged. "Maybe it's just in your head." She said. "Or maybe I'm right. Either way- I don't trust it. It seems... Weird."
