The meal was over and Erebus said something that triggered a dangerous glare from us.
"Can I take Nox out?" he asked.
"No," the three of us chorused.
He pouted and gave us his puppy eyes but we only grimaced.
"If you were 10 years younger, that will work just fine but you're not. So, stop," Aaron said.
"I'm hurt, alpha," Erebus said.
I couldn't help but scoff, "You can take Nox out. Fine."
"Really?" Erebus smiled.
"No!" the three of us chorused once more.
"Not in a million years," I said. "I was joking."
"What if he reaches the right age?" Erebus tried to argue even more.
"Is that a million years?" Stephen quirked his brow.
"U-Uhm…" Nox trailed off so we all turned to him. "I wouldn't mind."
This made us gasp.
"Nox, my darling child." I shook my head. "What if he does something?"
"I am not that low, Luna," Erebus pouted. "I have principles and respect too. Especially for my mate."
I visibly cringed along with my mates.
"Still… Nox is too young," I sighed. "Okay, fine."
"What?!" my mates asked.
"No, babe. I trust Erebus with my life… err, sort of, but with Nox? No," Stephen said.
"Do you even know how much people he'd slept with before?" Aaron asked. "I don't know because I lost count."
"I think that's overdramatic," I said. "Erebus, tell me, how many?"
Eremus grinned awkwardly, "I kind of lost count too."
"Then you will not bring Nox out," I smiled fakely. "Good day. Let's go."
"But Luna–"
"No," I firmly said. "That decision will come from Nox when he reaches the ripe ape."
"What?" Erebus knit his eyebrows in confusion.
I felt dizzy.
It felt as though my world was spinning and my eyes were closing on its own.
"Babe," Aaron called and held me.
"Are you okay?" Stephen asked.
I was about to nod when the dizziness stopped. It was then that I felt a shock of pain in my stomach. I felt a gush of water from my ass, flowing like a waterfall.
"What the– I'm gonna give birth!"
–
"You two will never, ever, ever, ever mate with me again!" I yelled, gripping my mates' hair and shaking them like a pair of maracas.
They didn't say anything all throughout the drive.
I forced them to sit with me on the backseat while Erebus drove and Nox was in the passenger seat.
"Eyes on the f*cking road and not on my son, Ere-f*cking-bus!" I yelled, gripping my mates' hair even more.
"These f*cking pups better be obedient when they grow up or else, I'll send them back in!”
"I want to kill both of you. This is so f*cking painful!"
"My ass! My ass is opening on its own! My f*cking ass is opening on their own!"
"Let me see," Stephen had the audacity to say that earned him a kick from me.
"F*cking pervert! Ere the f*cking bus, are we far?"
"Not far, Luna," he said.
"F*cking hurry up! I could see turtles overtaking you!"
"Luna, I am already driving 120," he said.
"The turtles are walking 150! Hurry up!"
My curses continued on and on until I was inside the ER of the pack hospital. Charlie just went inside with his assistants.
"What took you so f*cking long?!"
"We had to–"
"Just pull them out!" I yelled and shook the railing of the bed, breaking them and throwing them. "Where are my mates? I want to shake their heads instead!"
"Call the Alphas," Charlie said to one of the assistants. "Luna, please calm down."
"How can you when there are children trying to blast off from your belly?!"
"Breathe in, Luna," Charlie said. "We had practiced this. You said you want a normal delivery."
"I know what I f*cking said, Charlie. Where in the goddamn hell are my mates?!"
"We're here," Aaron rushed inside, offering his hand.
I glared at him, "Give me your hair."
"You can grip our hands," Stephen smiled awkwardly.
"Ah, f*ck it!" I yelled and took their hands, gripping them like my life depended on it.
It technically does.
"Push, Luna," Charlie said.
"F*cking babies! Aahhh!"
"Push!"
"Ahh!"
"Damn," Stephen whispered.
"I heard that, Stephen! Pervert!"
I kept on pushing until the first baby came.
"It's a boy!" Charlie announced.
I scoffed, "We already know that. Now get the other!"
"Push, Luna."
"What do you think I'm going?!"
I pushed even harder and felt another baby come out. This time, all my strength was drained from my body.
The last thing I remembered was my mates smiling faces dropping when Charlie said something.
–
I woke up to the sound of beeping.
"Babe?" Aaron called. "Are you awake?"
"Y-Yeah," I said. "The babies?"
My mates both handed me our pups that were wrapped in soft white blankets.
"We have something to tell you," Stephen started.
"What is it?"
Aaron gulped, "There were three pups."
My eyes widened. I looked around and counted but I could only reach two.
Where is the other one?
"Where is the third?" I asked.
"Well…" Aaron trailed off.
"Aaron, Stephen, where is our third pup?" I couldn't help but feel the tear slip from my cheek. "Tell me what happened."
"These boys had absorbed most the energy you provided, leaving less for the third pup," Stephen said.
Aaron nodded, "He's in a critical condition right now."
"I want to see him," I said.
They placed me in a wheelchair while the nurses took our pups and placed them in the nursery. I only fed them the breast milk and they both slept right after.
"Little Pup's condition is worse since you were early," Stephen said. "Good thing the two were healthy and okay."
I sighed, looking through the glass and into the machine that held our pup.
He looks so small and I thin. I could barely make out his features.
"Luna," Charlie called. "If we don't do something, your pup might get in even more critical condition."
"What do you suggest we do?" I asked, tears falling from my eyes.
"I know someone who could help us," Charlie said. "She called me last night and we talked this morning. She had changed."
"Who are you talking about?"
Charlie smiled, "Ms. Kaitlyn."
