I don’t think I have ever been so nervous and irritated to face a situation than I was now.
I was clearly not prepared for this.
Andrew was walking ahead of me as we took the trail back to the paved garden path. It seemed that he was giving me time to explain what had happened. He didn’t even question me about what went down before he had arrived and for that I was thankful.
I was thinking of ways to express myself and words to say that would in no way hurt him any further. That had become my main motive since I learned just how much of suffering he had gone through and just how much of happiness he actually needed in his life.
“Andrew,” I started softly, “Don’t you want to know what happened just now?”
He stopped walking and turned around to look at me. A troubled expression graced his face making me wonder what inner turmoil he must have been going through.
