“Uh I never thought that you would actually call me, so I didn’t have anything planned but how about I take you to the movies this Friday?” he asked hopefully.

Denise rolled her eyes from beside me probably unimpressed by his confession and lack of smooth talk. It seemed like he was not very experienced in talking to girls and getting their attention which is odd because he looked very cute.

If I wasn’t on a mission to hurt boys, I might have given him a chance. 

“Friday works fine for me. I’ll send you my address so that you can come pick me up.”

Now that the deal was made, I had no longer any interest in talking to him.
I had already entertained him for way long and although it was fun while it lasted, I had places to be and people to meet.

Damn These Boys!

“Hey! I wanted to make a grand breakfast for you, so I woke up extra early today but you still beat me to it,” I complained as she slid a plate of bacon and eggs with mixed fruit jam covered toast. 


“I was too excited and happy to sleep properly so I thought I could as well just busy myself with something,” she explained sitting beside me with her own plate. 


She was already bathed and ready for the day in a grey joggers and crop top set. Today they must be taking a day off to relax and celebrate. 


She was slowly eating and constantly smiling about something and sometimes even swinging her legs. She looked like a happy kid who had received lots of candy. 


“Are you high?” I jokingly asked flicking her head but instead of wincing she mockingly patted my back and patronized, “Yes, on life. Don’t worry you won’t understand since you didn’t win yesterday.” 


Shaking my head at her I laughed and agreed getting up to make us some coffee.
