“Uh I never thought that you would actually call me, so I didn’t have anything planned but how about I take you to the movies this Friday?” he asked hopefully.

Denise rolled her eyes from beside me probably unimpressed by his confession and lack of smooth talk. It seemed like he was not very experienced in talking to girls and getting their attention which is odd because he looked very cute.

If I wasn’t on a mission to hurt boys, I might have given him a chance. 

“Friday works fine for me. I’ll send you my address so that you can come pick me up.”

Now that the deal was made, I had no longer any interest in talking to him.
I had already entertained him for way long and although it was fun while it lasted, I had places to be and people to meet.

Damn These Boys!

“What’s wrong with you?” Blu asked as she placed her car keys on the table. 


Snapping out of my thoughts I sat up straight from my previously crouched position on the love seat and coughed, “What are you talking about there’s nothing wrong with me.” 


“Well you didn’t come pouncing on me to ask how I spent my evening with Julian when you obviously set it up for me,” She stated meaningfully daring me to prove her wrong but even then I cleared my thought and looking away I feigned ignorance, “I don’t know what you are talking about I only ran out of there because my friend got into an accident.” 


“Scarlet Davis do not lie to me Julian admitted that it was fixed so that he could meet with me and that he asked for your help,” she admonished me while sitting on the couch. 


Why would Julian do that and not even warn me!
