“Uh I never thought that you would actually call me, so I didn’t have anything planned but how about I take you to the movies this Friday?” he asked hopefully.

Denise rolled her eyes from beside me probably unimpressed by his confession and lack of smooth talk. It seemed like he was not very experienced in talking to girls and getting their attention which is odd because he looked very cute.

If I wasn’t on a mission to hurt boys, I might have given him a chance. 

“Friday works fine for me. I’ll send you my address so that you can come pick me up.”

Now that the deal was made, I had no longer any interest in talking to him.
I had already entertained him for way long and although it was fun while it lasted, I had places to be and people to meet.

Damn These Boys!

“I’ll have to admit I was shocked to my core when Blu informed me that she invited you for dinner,” I chortled as I shared a look with Charlie. 


“Yeah, I agree but anyway thanks to that I got to meet you again. It’s been so long, man, how were you all these years?” Charlie asked as he ate his ice-cream. We had just finished eating dinner and were now relaxing and enjoying a bowl of our favorite ice-cream flavors sitting in our beloved Sabrosa. 


I was truly surprised when Blu said that she had invited Julian for dinner for a get together with the four of us. She said it was also to mark new beginnings and as a ‘thank you’ for trying to ‘save’ her earlier. We had a laugh about that incident again, many times over the dinner as well.
