“Uh I never thought that you would actually call me, so I didn’t have anything planned but how about I take you to the movies this Friday?” he asked hopefully.

Denise rolled her eyes from beside me probably unimpressed by his confession and lack of smooth talk. It seemed like he was not very experienced in talking to girls and getting their attention which is odd because he looked very cute.

If I wasn’t on a mission to hurt boys, I might have given him a chance. 

“Friday works fine for me. I’ll send you my address so that you can come pick me up.”

Now that the deal was made, I had no longer any interest in talking to him.
I had already entertained him for way long and although it was fun while it lasted, I had places to be and people to meet.

Damn These Boys!

“Coming!” I shouted at the sound of the doorbell ring. 


She had just left for her date with Julian which she had corrected me a million times with a flustered face saying it’s just a hang out. 


“Did you forg-” I started to say but stopped midway to see Alex smiling down at me causing me to ask, “What are you doing here?” 


“Your sister informed me that you looked a little down so she sent me to cheer you up. Of course with a warning that she’ll hunt me down if I hurt you in anyway,” He chuckled and then raising a bag full of snacks he asked, “So, why don’t you let me in and I’ll listen to whatever is burdening you.” 


Feeling grateful for such a caring sister I invited him in and told him to place the snacks on the center table as I straightened the cushions and sat down on the couch where I had just been laying a few minutes ago.
