"Sweetheart, dance with me." Dad whispered. He loved to dance, even when he was younger. He learned all the steps thoroughly, just to have a fun time with me. He had taken my hand, and said, "This is how you waltz. You're gonna need this info for the future, kid." While winking at me. We had started. The steps were smooth like butter on bread, each one more gradual than the last. And then...

I woke up. But not in the tent.
I was in the guy Jaden's arms, but I didn't mind because nothing was happening and I felt comfortable. Until I realized I was being carried by a stranger in his 20's. I had woken myself up completely, got out of his arms and asked what happened frantically.
"We had been overrun by a frontier. Someone told on us." He explained.
I began to walk steadier now.
"But why? We did nothing to them."
"I know. They're asshats." He spoke. That was the first time in a while I had heard anyone curse since my mother left. I had shaken it off though, didn't want to seem weak. The setting was a thick forest with a fresh sandy path. I thought it was a bit strange that there was a path that would lead straight to the frontier, but when I saw the frontier I realized they had nothing to worry about. This base was one of the heaviest guarded ones I've seen in a while, with mini-sniping towers each with a guard in tow. The man that was leading us was far ahead, so I couldn't get the best look at him. But now that I saw him, he couldn't have been anything but a military unit. His biceps looked as if they were about to rip out of his shirt, and he didn't skip leg day either. But no matter, we were hurrying inside the building and wasn't able to get the best look at the exterior. But the interior was insane. There were hallways of doors and rooms that were prepped for new arrivals of people, a small mess hall, and 3 bathrooms outside of the hallways. Yep, this was insane, and there were other things that I don't quite remember. But as soon as we got in, the man leading us turns around and exclaims:
"Welcome to The Frontier new recruits. We, or maybe I should say I own you now."
Shit.
