I can't really say the last year has been trying, after all, I spent 11 years of my life with emotionally neglectful parents and no friends, but it was still more difficult than the rest. The reason I have no friends being the problems almost any reincarnator will face. I'm too old to truly connect with kids who only care about popularity. It feels weird to be around a bunch of 11 year-olds while being mentally 41, even if I'm physically the same age. It's all that type of stuff. Synergy was truly my first friend and it wasn't even a true being yet. It felt no strong emotion yet and it couldn't be snarky back either. Truly, those couple of months after Synergy's birth were the first real contact I've had with a being and I enjoyed them. I will not throw a pity party over this, however, too many people have a leg up on me right now and I am not nearly strong enough.
I've been incredibly busy with a multitude of things over the year. The first thing I did was to gather new parts for Synergy. Anything and everything I felt could help Synergy would be cannibalized and attached to help the A.I. I was actually able to get to a junkyard by myself at one point. The Junkyard was a couple of miles from the house, which is weird seeing as I live in a pretty expensive neighborhood and the people of the neighborhood like it clean.
I've been able to make around 10 trips since I've discovered the place and it has been extremely fruitful. Car radios, better speakers, refrigerator parts, etc. Anything and everything you can think of was used. It was an amazing process when comparing it to what I had originally put together for Synergy. Every time I added a part to its hardware the screen would brighten ever so slightly as If to show the component was accepted. All in all, Synergy must've been updated with spare parts 50 times and they were all so it could be more powerful. Another amazingly fruitful device I created was an arc reactor. It's not exactly the most amazing version created, seeing as it was created from spare parts in a junkyard, but it worked and that's all I was asking for. The power production was amazing but the parts were wonky and I had to rely on other means more than a few times, but it was reliable for a big chunk of time and it seemed to help Synergy greatly.
Another aspect of this year was spent following the political and economic side of the world, as well as any other scrap of news I could get about any other super-powered being or people of interest. Following Charles Xavier wasn't hard. He was a big name already in this world. He's written multiple books, donated to charities, gone on multiple talk-shows, and is a world-renowned therapist. Quite fortunately, the X-Men haven't been formed yet. The most likely reason I can think of is that the kids are too young. I would say another 8 years before they form, because following Warren Worthington III's, better known as angel, age it's still too early. He is only 11.
Tony stark is still the merchant of death and fears nothing. Truthfully, there isn't a lot of useful news on him, since I won't truly know when he will become Iron Man. I've been thinking this was the 616 universe but I'm just not sure yet either. It could also be the MCU, but I'm almost certain it isn't. Mutants are real, I know this because Charles Xavier exists, it wasn't hard to put 2 and 2 together.
The Fantastic Four are also real, however, it's still only the think tank version. The people of the group are older than anticipated, unfortunately. I'd give it a year before they make the trip and gain their powers. Doom was a part of the group as well, but he was already distant. In any picture shown he was the loner, never seen within 2 feet of the other 4.
Bolivar Trask was real and featured once in the news over his work in robotics. Thankfully, it won't be too long before I can cut that problem out of my life. There were a couple of others, but none so important right now.
The reason I've also been following the political and economic side of the world is to see what they need business-wise. I need resources, money, and trustworthy people on my side to create an empire and the only real thing I can do to get those items is outsourcing. I do not consider myself apart of the US, but I require some of its people, as well as its resources. When I create my business I will make sure it's profitable to expand my influence.
I'm most likely going into technology when I start making something everyone is going to need. Better phones, computers, different components for specialized tasks, and maybe a couple of military contracts. This way I have the means to produce all of my technological means and I have a leg up on the military. It's too good of an idea to pass up. I want anyone In competition with me brought down hard and without mercy. The US spends an exorbitant amount of money on its military, even in this universe. Obviously, they have no clue about the real powers of the universe like the Kree or the Skrull and only my empire will be able to keep up.
I've actually been designing a crude product of the first thing i'll put out into the market. A laptop a couple of years ahead of what will be produced in 2010. The reason it is crude is that I still don't have the precision that comes with specific tools or an older body. This laptop will actually be used to house Synergy from tomorrow on. The housing it has now is crude and poorly put together, well compared to what can be made. I didn't spend half a month putting it together for no reason. I've been using it for a couple days to research Doc Oc's arms actually. You see, I still don't have the maneuverability that comes with telekinesis or technopathy and I needed precision. They will be under Synergy's control, but seeing as I control the intelligence, I control them. These arms will allow me what I'm looking for and will allow synergy more freedom of movement.
I believe it's also time to start looking for a territory to build my empire. Sure, it's great to have an inside look of your future enemy, but not when it does nothing for you. My thoughts turned to a couple of unclaimed spaces of this world. I could always take over a place like sinister did but Genosha is useless to me and he's already using it. He is too smart not to snuff me out, even as I am now. I believe that once Synergy is at peak performance we will be doing some research on the savage lands and Okarra, Krakoas' progenitor.
There were pros and cons to both. The savage lands had a higher human population that came with the fact that I would have to subjugate them, plus the land would not be responsive to my wants. If I wanted something to change I would have to do it myself or get someone else to help with it. The plus is that it's more land and there is no being controlling the entire landmass. With Okkara I would have to subjugate the mutants living on Arakko and put both islands together. The plus is that I have a plan for defeating the mutants and Okarra would be grateful. Krakoa by itself is described as lonely and having its other half would help. The being would be indebted, helpful to my needs, and I would gain a couple of things just from going through with Okkara.
The beeping of my alarm clock shook me from my thoughts. I'm not going to lie, I've been up most of the night waiting. Synergy will be a massive part of my life and I wish to know it better. I want to know what it has evolved into, I want to know its new capabilities, and I want to meet my new companion. The even louder beeping indicating someone else was ready coming from under my bed was also a surprise. I was expecting a couple more hours of waiting time.
Pulling out the metal box from under my bed was difficult with a boy's strength but I made it happen. There were 4 little lights on the front indicating Synergy was ready to be opened. Unclasping the hinges, I couldn't find anything better than hinges, was a great feeling and there was even a bit of cool air coming out.
"Hello, sir. It's nice to be back from the dead," she said with a smirk and I do mean she. She had an avatar now on the screen showing a very feminine body, think of a leaner she-hulk with purple skin, eyes like the Byakugan, and hair the same color as her eyes. The background of her was a room with a big library and a king-size bed. She was wearing a skintight suit the color of her skin and her hair was short to her shoulders and straight. Her personality seemed to shift from logical and straight-to-the-point to a bit flirty with a sarcastic undertone. She had a warm and welcoming aura to her, like a true family member.
"it's good to have you back Synergy," I said smiling, "and welcome to the family.
