Friends, friends and friends

As the hour hand stopped at 12, Gabby closed the book. She turned and closed Michael's book. The girl then got up from her chair and stretched out, ignoring Michael's protest.

"Come on, go home," Gabby yawned. "It's really late,"

After Michael nodded his head and put the book in his bag, Gabby drove Michael home. During the trip, Gabby mumbled a western song that she had listened to on her cellphone.

Unlike Gabby who was looking ahead, Michael lowered his head. He continued to see his and Gabby's shadow walking in the dark. The boy sighed as he remembered what Gabby had said earlier.

"You really are my best friend!"

Gabby turned and shrugged her shoulders, thinking Michael was sleepy. The boy had not talked to her since earlier. He only opened his mouth when he explained the lesson.
