murder after the sunset part V

last night.

Rig and Joan are on top of a red car. they are looking at the stars together. Rig felt sorry for leaving Joan alone before. he looks at her for a moment. he feels good with her. her body and her kindness are always welcome. but that doesn't feel like enough.

Rig doesn't feel capable of loving her. he is only with her because she asked him. he is only in there, because she wanted for him to be in there. he didn't saw, nor found the opportunity to say no. he is now waiting for this relationship to end.

Rig feels terrible knowing he is an awful person. he has done so much wrong. he has hurt so many people. he has destroyed lives. jet he doesn't find the way to end his relationship with Joan. he doesn't want to hurt her.

even knowing about Joan's reputation. even knowing why she wants him. he sees her as a pure person who is hungry of love. Rig isn't the one to give her that love. he isn't one to love anyone. he is as cold and soulless as a corpse.

Joan holds his hand. she kisses his neck. she asks for a moment of intimacy. Joan puts her right hand on his hair. she plays with his hair. Joan isn't stupid. she knows about Rig's cold personality. but she can see a light on his eyes. he seems gentle and nice.

on the moonlight Martin is cleaning the car. he is washing the backseat. with all the stars and the romantic atmosphere. Martin feels odd with a couple on top of his car. they are kissing and almost going further than that. Martin is on the wrong place.

Joan comes from a cold family. her father always wanted a boy, the mother never wanted to have kids. the father blames Joan for all the bitterness of his life, as he kills his time on work. the mother on drugs and liquor overcomes her overweight.

it was her thirst for love. it was for the hunger of been needed. it was for the lack of love on her life that she became like that. all those lips she kissed. all the skin she touched. it was all to feel loved. from all those faces. Rigoberto is the most warmth person she has met so far. unlike most, he is honest.

Rig never makes fake promises of love. he never lies about his feelings. but even when he doesn't offer love to her. his actions are kind and noble.

4 Days after.

"on today's news. we have reports of six students that went missing. six students on their prom night disappeared. now, there is nothing strange from kids going for drinks. but, if there is something strange. is that no one saw them after they left the party. this is another mystery unsolved. I am your host Pierre Manzano. and this was, the note of the week."

Rig turns the TV off. he is in the living room of his home. Martin and Joan are with him. Rig's mom offer cookies and milk. Joan accepts with a smile. Martin asks for apple juice and for salty cookies. Rig's mom only smiles. she leaves to the kitchen.

Rig is trying to watch the TV. Joan is whispering naughty things on his ear. Rig doesn't know what to do, if he gets hard. he tries to think of peaceful things. he tries to think about cats and birds. Joan keeps whispering things on his ear. his face is so red.

Rig's mom comes back with the apple juice and salty cookies. Martin is thankful. Martin goes to the kitchen with Jose Miguel. the two of them have a deep conversation about soccer and the best players.

since Joan started dating Rig, she haven't had sex with anyone else. for a while she has notice something wrong with herself. last night she went to the doctor. she confirmed to be pregnant. there is no doubt, Rig is the baby's father.

Joan haven't said anything for fear. she knows how cold Rig can be at times. she is afraid that he will leave her. Joan isn't sure if it is love. or the habit of feeling loved, of feeling understood, the habit of feeling his warmth.

Samuel keeps thinking of his revenge. he lose two friends before. but that was nothing, when he has more people to replace the dead ones. all that matters is his revenge. he has to see Rig pay for what he did to Jack.

one day Joan visited Rig's home. she wanted to give him the good news. her stomach was now visible. she knocks on the door. she was received by Rig's father. she was told that Rig was gone. he left without saying anything. he only left a note.

Jose Miguel told her to not worry about the baby. he told her that together. they will take care of the baby and helped her. Joan smiled feeling welcome with her in-laws. she never felt loved by her own family. but maybe she can feel it with them.

the Detective keeps bringing criminals to justice. he haven't faced Tiziano since the last time he visited him. the detective is waiting for the right time to go after Tiziano. he wants to destroy all criminal organizations on town.

5 years later.

since then Joan has been living with Jose Manuel Mendez and Emma Nelson, on her in-laws' home. she helps them sometimes to take care of Amado. a year ago they moved out of the town. but they still live in the same county. they have hopes to see Rig again.

the Detective Brandon Williams has been trying to bring his childhood friend Tiziano Fierro to the justice. he is investigating the cases related to the serial killer known as the 'Midnight Reaper.' whom keeps killing.

there are about forty cases related to the same serial killer. most cases had been proved to be his work. there are only two things related to every case. the first thing; is that every victim was convicted at least once for a severe crime. the second thing; is a note that is found in the house of every case.

"I am the Reaper. I am The Fallen God's Chosen One. I am the justice that falls upon the corrupted souls. I am the rage of a God. I breathe the fires of the Inferno. I see the sentence of the Guilty. the Midnight Reaper has come for you." those are the words found on every note.

Detective Brandon Williams believes that the work of the reaper, is the work of multiple serial killers working together. but he doesn't have enough evidence to prove that his theory is right. neither is he able to find the culprit for all this crimes.

the worst part is that his daughter is a fan of this serial killer. his relationship with her gets worst every minute that pass. he is afraid of losing his daughter.

Rigoberto is still living in inflictionville. now he works as a mechanic. he lives in a department in town. he has a short haircut, he has let his beard and his mustache grow long and thick. he talks with Martin sometimes. he started to kill often in the first year.

but he started to kill once every month, or two or even once every four months. his wrath is still inside as strong as ever. jet his desire to kill has been getting extinct. the more time that passes, the less he likes the killing.

if he left his family five years ago. is because when Samuel's henchmen attacked them. Rig understood the risk in which he was putting everyone. even when he doesn't care much about them. he knew that he was doing wrong to them.

that time when he was attacked by Mickey. he allowed him to attack him, because Rig wanted to die. but when Martin arrived to his rescue. Rig was relieved. then he understood that he really didn't wanted to die. so he took the choice that he saw to be the perfect choice to take.

now he feels stuck in some hell. once in a while he kills to relieve some stress. he had left his better days behind of him. Rig is witness of how the mafia in this town is been destroyed by the Detective whom claims to be the mullet of justice.

Rig is afraid that this detective would came after him. there is one thing that Rig does every day. he visits the place where Sidney works. maybe he feels sorry for her.

after all this time she is still working on the same place as a waitress. her mother just died of cancer two months ago. if anyone was worried to know, yes. Rig was there when the mother was been buried.

Rig doesn't talk much with her. but he tries to stay closed to her. he feels like if it is his duty to protect that woman. every time that he asks himself why? he can't come up with an actual answer. every day when he visits her in that old diner, it is peaceful. but not today.

as Rig sits in a corner closed to the door. Martin is ordering a black coffee and some eggs with bacon and mashed potato. there is a feeling. a shadow. a sign as the omen of something to come.

at the other side of the diner Samuel is sitting with two small criminals. closed to the bathroom on a table is the Detective Brandon Williams, he is eating some sausages while he looks at Randy Lopez. he is sitting in a table in middle of the diner with a friend.

Terry Davis gets out of the bathroom. he sits next to Randy Lopez. the whole place is in silence while everyone is looking at everyone.

Sidney walks close to Rig's table. he is so damn nervous. she asks if anything is wrong. he looks at her scared. she is surprised to see him scared. for the first time she was able to understand fast that shit was going to go down.

"it is too late to run, hide. you have to hide in the kitchen."

Sidney moves as fast as she can to the kitchen. she is sweating. she twist her ankle, but she keeps walking without looking back. her whole body is shaking in fear until she gets on the kitchen.

Rig looks at Martin. there was no need for words. it was easy to read the fear on those eyes in a second. Martin understood.

"do you have a gun on hand?"

"yes sir. since the Mickey incident I always walk with a gun and a pocket knife on hand. why sir? is it that bad?"

Rig looks at the detective. then he looks at Terry Davis. Rig looks at Martin on the eyes. he nods as he keeps sweating.

"things will get really interesting now. if we get lucky, we might survived from this one. but I can't promise to you that it would be an easy thing to survived today."

one man walks towards Samuel's table. he shots at the man in the head. for a second the diner is in total silence. then the people working for Terry and the people with Samuel start to shot at each other.

the Detective gets his gun out. he shoots at both sides. one waitress which was close to Terry's table was unfortunate enough to be in the middle of the crossfire. a bullet got throw her left eye. she fall dead.

the whole place becomes a war zone with dead bodies everywhere. some were innocent people whom wanted to have a peaceful day. but others are criminals with a final stop before a job. now there would be no job for them to finish.

in the kitchen Sidney is terrified crying, as she listens to the gun shots. she looks outside to see the soulless cold bodies of those that she met for the last five years. she used to know some of them well.

the Detective looks at Sidney. he goes to the kitchen thinking about her safety. he avoids most bullets. one hits hit on the shoulder. the Detective barely felt any pain. he is like an iron wall that is barely moved, or affected.

Randy gets shot in his left leg. Terry Davis shots at two guys. he drags Randy to the back exit that is close to the bathroom. he gets shot on a shoulder. Terry laughs like if it was a small scratch and not a bullet wound.

"see you soon Reaper." said Randy.

Rig looks on Randy's direction. he sees Randy a last time. before he escapes with Terry. they left with the strength to fight another day.

Samuel looks at Rig hiding behind a table. Samuel runs towards him shooting. one of the bullets hits Rig in his shoulder. he falls on the ground.

"I will have my vengeance. once you are dead, my brother would be at peace in his tombstone. you may had succeed that time when my man went to your house. but not this time. this time I will kill the reaper himself with my own hands."

he didn't notice that Martin was standing at his side holding a gun. Samuel gives a step forward and Martin shots. the bullet goes through the left cheek and the bullet exits from the left cheek.

Samuel is bleeding a lot. he covers his mouth with his right hand. Rig shots him in the right leg twice. Samuel falls on his knees. Rig kicks him in the face. Samuel falls on the floor unconscious. Martin is dragging Samuel outside of the diner. Rig looks at the Detective whom is holding Sidney's hand.

"excuse me Mr lawman I had to leave. I guess we will see each other soon."

the Detective Williams wants to arrest him. he the looks at Sidney who is in shock for what happened. she can't let go of his hand.

"yes we will see each other again.....Reaper."

Rig leaves the diner. he looks at Martin, he asks if is there any problem. Rig tries to convince Martin that everything is fine. even if the mullet of justice knows who he is. there is no evidence. so the detective won't act drastically.

"my future gets more complicated every second. it is possible that I may had found my greatest nemesis so far."

Rig gets inside of Martin's car. there are few things on which they disagree. they leave in direction to the woods. in the trunk is Samuel still unconscious.

Samuel wakes up. he is trying to get out of there and screams. the trunk opens by itself. Samuel falls from the car breaking his left leg. the bone is visible. there is a lot of blood on the road. Samuel screams in anguish.

Samuel looks around of him to see only trees. he tries to drag himself on the road, thinking that maybe a car may pass. maybe he would be safe. but unfortunate for him this is not the case. he is dragged by Martin and Rig inside of the woods.
