Attractive Men

Caleb simply smiled as he watched the two women in his life fighting over him. His heart swelled with happiness hearing Rose calling him her future husband and standing up for him. Before they had any more time to fight, he spoke. "After dinner I'd like to talk to you for a bit Rose."

Rose frowned and looked up at Caleb. She noted the reassuring smile on his lips and felt at ease. She nodded. "Okay," she said. "I'm actually done."

Caleb nodded with a smile and stood up. He pulled out her chair and waited for her to get up and stand by his side. He started to walk towards the door, leading her by her side when he heard someone speak. He turned to look at Ian, who had been sitting next to Rose.

"Boss, can we leave?" Ian asked nervously as he watched the couple walking towards the door. He felt a tinge of irritation that his boss was completely forgetting about them just because he had his future wife by his side.

"Oh yes, you're all excused," Caleb said as he led Rose out of the room.

The vampires sitting around the table exchanged unhappy looks, every one of them suddenly feeling neglected by their boss. They had all gotten used to having their boss' attention. But now that the boss had his wife, they were only getting the crumbs of Caleb that the wife was leaving for them. With heavy sighs, they all left the dining room.

Caleb led Rose towards the study, walking slowly next to her, watching her through the corner of his eyes. He tried not to let her notice as he admired her beauty. Her perfect full lips and small straight nose, her high cheeks bones, but what always caught him off guard were her eyes. Every time he looked into her eyes, he felt he was getting sucked into her soul, drowning in her.

Rose felt his hot gaze on her and nervously looked up at him. "What?" she asked.

Caleb cleared his throat and smiled. "You're beautiful," he answered without hesitation.

Her cheeks turned red and she quickly looked away from him again, turning to look ahead. "I'm sure you're acquainted to very beautiful ladies," she said with a frown at the thought. She couldn't help but wonder how beautiful the women around him were. They were all vampires, so odds were the women were gorgeous, like Katherine.

"Not as beautiful as you," Caleb stated. He truly believed that. Rose was beautiful not only physically, but on the inside, which only accentuated her over all beauty, making her irresistible in his eyes. She was a diamond shinning brightly.

"I highly doubt that," Rose chuckled. "Considering vampires are pretty much perfect. I don't think I've seen a single vampire here who isn't gorgeous."

Caleb frowned at her words and he stopped as he turned to her, forcing her to stop with him.

"What is it?" Rose asked as she turned to look up at him.

His frown deepened as he looked down at her. "You find my men attractive?" he asked, jealousy clouding his mind. He would get rid of every single man in his house and replace them all with women! Even Ksien would have to leave if his wife found him attractive. He would pulverize him! The temperature around them suddenly dropped a few degrees as anger radiated off of him.

Rose frowned at his words. She wasn't sure how to respond. "Well… they are handsome, but even the women are beautiful. Humans cannot compare to vampires when it comes to physical beauty."

"Who do find attractive? Is it Ksien?" Caleb asked, wanting to get to the bottom of it. Since he had assigned Ksien as her personal bodyguard, Caleb was sure he was the only one she could have gotten close to. He hadn't allowed anyone else to interact with her. Who would have known his trusted friend of decades would try to seduce his wife with his good-looking face?!

Ksien, who was sitting happily in the library reading his book and nowhere near the couple, began to sneeze. His ears were ringing. Was someone talking about him? he wondered and frowned down at his book. He sneezed again and again until finally he stopped after a few more sneezes. "Fuck," Ksien groaned as he thought about what he had done wrong this time, knowing full well who was cursing him at the moment.

Rose's eyebrows lifted as she finally understood what was going through his mind. A chuckle escaped her lips. "You're asking me if I like one of your men?" she asked before shaking her head. "I don't find anyone here attractive," she said. "Not the way you're thinking."

Caleb frowned and he felt his heart clench. So, she didn't find anyone here attractive? Not even him? The frown on his forehead deepened as he considered her words. "No one?"

She looked up at him, confused. Did he want her to be attracted to someone or not? He really had to make up his mind! She wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry, as the man in front of her was suddenly acting childish. Wasn't he a demon? Why was he acting like a jealous boyfriend all of a sudden? It was kind of cute, she had to admit as she looked at his dejected pout.

"You don't find anyoneat all attractive in this house?" he asked getting closer to her until he was face to face with her. "No one at all?"

She gulped as she craned her neck to look up at him. She frowned as she considered his words. She supposed if she found someone attractive it would have to be him. He gave off an air of superiority and power that was very attractive. Not to mention his ridiculously good looks and perfectly sculpted body. Of course, she had never seen his body, but the clothes he wore formed perfectly around the fit muscles underneath. She didn't have to see his body to know how amazing it was. In fact, she had a feeling that if she ever saw him naked she would…

Caleb grinned as he noticed the way she was staring at him, as if she was picturing him naked.

Rose frowned. She blinked a few times before a deep blush began to creep up her cheeks. Oh my god what the hell was she thinking about? She felt his body heat immediately surrounding her and her body began to burn with shame. "Umm… what were you going to talk to me about?" she asked quickly, trying to shift the conversation. She began to walk forward again, trying to put some distance between them and leaving him behind.

Caleb smiled, noting the nervous reaction she'd had to him. No one huh? He chuckled inwardly, suddenly very pleased. He smiled as he watched her automatically walk down the path towards the study. It seemed she was unknowingly starting to adjust to this place already.

Rose walked towards the study without waiting for him. He could catch up when he wanted to. As she opened the door, a hand from behind helped her push on the door and she didn't have to look around to know it was him. "That was fast," she said.

"One of the perks of being a creature of the dark," said Caleb smiling as he looked down at her. He waited for her to walk in before entering the room and closing the door behind him.

Rose frowned at his words. A creature of the dark. The way he said it made it sound so dark and ominous. She turned around and looked up at him. "What did you want to talk to me about?"

He smiled down at her and walked forward until he stood a couple feet in front of her. "The wedding," he answered as a wicked grin spread across his lips.
