ARRIVAL III

the guards at the gates had astounded looks on their faces at the sight of the three girls

having never seen foxes before only to have three ethereal girls before their gates

the males could wonder what was going on until they took in the

their group as the others caught up and the girls cloud joined with the group

the men could only stare never having seen such a group of powerful celestials all together before

in in their true forms, all multi tailed most celestials couldn't manage to cultivate

beyond one or two tails due to the lack of celestial energy

but this group were all-powerful and one of them was even winged

carrying a girl in his arms his presence was putting out waves of pressure

on the men, it was truly unimaginable how they were all this powerful

it was an extremely impressive sight

open the gates Justin ordered

yes your majesty the men quickly obeyed naturally recognizing their prince

but were stunned to see him in his new form and accompanied

by a beautiful white fox who bore the cloak of a Queen of her clan

the three girls fell in next to her

the gates rumbled open and they passed through entering the city

wow wolf city is really beautiful anna breathed gazing at the city below as they entered

it was a sprawling blend of modern and older Victorian-era style city as many buildings were built

of unique brickwork style and there were beautiful sculptures and artwork scattered throughout the city

certain buildings had Gothic architecture with soaring spires

in certain parts of the city, the buildings were

built close together creating winding alley streets that she found very charming

there was of course main streets for regular vehicular traffic

skyscrapers and other types of modern buildings were mixed in

the streets were lined were trees and many buildings had flowering gardens in front of them

she could see various open parks and leisure areas especially close to the river that flowed along the edge of the city

along the water seemed to be a shopping area with many stores and restaurants and

there was a marina where boats and yachts were docked and there was a boardwalk along that area

with benches for sitting a section where the river narrowed

there was a beautiful arching bridge and beneath the bridge near one bank

was an area where ducks and swans seemed to live among the thriving water reeds there

past and present came together perfectly in this city

what are those? anna breathed pointing to a small island in the middle of the river itself where it seemed to be the widest

it was filled with what seemed to be Merpeople who were lounging along the shore

or frolicking around on the surface of the water

the river is the home of a clan of celestial water sprites and other water beings

Justin explained under the river there's a very healthy colony

you will find that there are many places here in this city

that other types of celestial creatures call home this isn't just a sanctuary for the wolf clan

we try to do our best to help all celestials whether they are human or not

the same way there are demon beast like the one we fought today there are also celestial beast as well

and after the witch sealed the heavens many of those beasts became exposed to humans

many were killed because humans mistook them as monsters

but we tried our best to save as many as possible and gave them a new home

look there he pointed to what looked like a forested park but to her shock the trees

there were all moving around and waving their branches in the air

the trunks of the trees had laughing faces on them that the celestial birch wood

he told her the trees there all have consciousness and they provide homes to many celestial woodland beings like the clan of hare

and clan of turtle there are also celestial fairies that live there

and they have a medicinal herb farm within the woods that makes medicine for everyone in the city among other things

she watched a herd of deer appeared at the edge of the trees

she gasped oh my gosh they are beautiful can we go closer? she asked Justin

he flew them close to the woods so anna could have a closer look

the deer were all white in color with majestic racks of horns on their heads

and their bodies spotted with beautiful designs that looked similar to those of sigil rings

those designs all glowed in various colors against the white of their coats

as anna and Justin passed by the herd of deer all raised themselves up on their hind legs lifting their front legs in the air

and then brought them down folding their front legs under them they were kneeling

and bowing their majestic horned heads down

they honor us and express their gratitude Justin said softly they know that we helped vanquished the witch

anna felt tears fill her eyes I never knew there were many other types of celestial creatures she breathed

your clan is really amazing that you all were able to build this city and provide safe homes for so many

I feel like I'm not worthy of all this

but you are though anna just believe in yourself Justin said hugging her warmly

they were about to leave when something small and furry came running out of the trees

it jumped on one of the deer's heads and the deer threw the creature through the air

it flew and landed on Justin's shield and sat there looking up at anna with perky ears and bright sparkling eyes

oh anna gasped in shock gazing down at the creature with brown fur and fluffy white-tipped tail

in the middle of its forehead was a white star it had slanted cat-like eyes of a golden color a cute pink nose and white whiskers

it's a kitsune anna breathed in shock

they were close cousins to the fox clan a race of small woodland foxes highly intelligent

and able to use some powers but unable to take a human form they usually lived in the woods near

their cousins and could be kept as pets and trained as messengers and familiars to the fox clan

she bent and picked it up in her arms are there kitsune foxes living in these woods too? anna asked

Justin was mystified I have no idea I've never seen any before now

but I don't really come out to these woods no one does because we don't want to disturb the creatures that live here

the kitsune in Anna's arms suddenly scampered up her arm and curled itself upon Anna's

shoulder its tail wrapped itself around her shoulder

I guess this one intends to stay with you Justin said in surprise the kitsune rubbed his head against Anna's cheek

in a friendly manner

its golden eyes gazed into hers blinking prettily

Anna's heart softened ok I guess ill keep you then,

she sighed what shall I call you hmm? she rubbed

its ears are you a boy or a girl? she asked

the little fox ears twitched at her question it tilted its head as if thinking about it and then

it pressed its nose to Anna's hair and suddenly a pink flower bloomed in her hair

oh anna gasped

hmm Justin responded this one is a female and looks like she has some small celestial powers

it might be useful to have her around perhaps Yuqi could help train it too he suggested

ok, anna agreed with a smile ill call you Chione do you like that name?

anna asked the little fox rubbing under its chin with her finger

as an answer, a bunch more flowers bloomed in Anna's hair

anna laughed in delight Justin rubbed it's ears

well Chione you better behave yourself

and don't give your mistress any trouble or we will send you right back to these woods understand

you'll be a good girl won't you Anna asked

Chione nodded her head as if she understood what anna and Justin were saying

ok then let's go anna waved goodbye to the trees and deer and flew back rejoining the others
