171 - What would you give, Mortal?

"Find a seat for your lover, Athene."

Zeus said as soon as Vulcan fought his hand free and was standing side by side with her. He looked sharply at Athena at what Zeus had said. He knew she was going to shot back in their defense, like she'd said. And he wasn't disappointed.

"He's nothing of such father. He's a mortal who needs your help."

Athena shot. She didn't look at Vulcan. They'd had that conversation and there was no point in wanting to beg him anymore.

She had proven herself quite the numbers of times to him, what else would he had wanted.

"A mortal who would in few days become a prince after laying his hands on the muse? You should be tired of the charade, Athene."

Zeus hurled. Athena's countenance fell. She knew who had told the secret. She wished she could see through the locked gate and figure out how glad the crazy fellow was.

"Thousand apologies, father."

She bowed. Zeus added,

"Show him to a seat."
