172 - Lara lights the dark

"Is your father always like that?"

Vulcan asked. He was squatting. The back of his leg lapping his butts. He was bent towards the large lake before him. Beside him in same position was Athena.

Both were cupping their hands over the lake and lifting out a pink flower with layers, lotus.

There were lots of it on the lake and they had just started picking. Vulcan for once wondered why Athena had promised to give an heap of it.

They were dropping the flowers in the basket bordering the two of them.

She stopped picking at his question and looked briefly at him.

"Annoying you mean?"

She teased. He wasn't catching the gist of it. He didn't want to shake his head to his detriment.

She looked away and continued plucking the lotuses from the surface of the lake.

"If you'd put it that way?"

He defended. He did a side look but she wasn't interested. She seemed rather gobbled by the duty they had been caught up with.
