Haro went straight for the lady who also seemed to have chosen the owl as her opponent. The two of them moved away from the main group where there wouldn't be any interference. The witch, werewolves, and Fae all surrounded the Bone Whistler and started attacking him on all sides. However, it didn't do much as the Bone Whistler's body was very sturdy.
Kies was left to fight alone against the mysterious earth mage. The two of them distanced themselves from the main group like the other four had done so that there wouldn't be any interference, and went at each other.
Kies shot a few jets of wind at the mage to feel out his opponent. The mage swiped their hand in front of them, calling forth several stones to intercept the winds. The mage then opened his tome and made an upward gesture with his hand. Kies didn't understand what the mage was doing but kept his guard up.
The ground beneath Kies cracked and Kies jumped out of the way just in time as a giant rocky spike shot up from the floor and into the ceiling. The rock spike then exploded into smaller fragments, flying in every single direction. Kies was not prepared for a follow-up attack and was hit by a number of fragments and could only bring his arms up to his body to protect himself from any further damage.
The mage didn't give Kies any room to breathe and immediately launched another attack as he was still recovering from the previous one. Kies braced himself as another barrage of stones flew into him, ripping his clothes and battering his body. Since Kies couldn't set up a barrier without being interrupted, he ran for cover. The cavern was rather empty but Kies was able to find a place between the tunnels where he waited out the attack.
Kies watched as the wounds quickly stitched themselves back up before going back out. Not fooling around anymore, Kies chanted Wind Cannon as fast as he could and shot it across the cave at the mage. The winds roared as they tore through the air, echoing loudly into the cave. The mage saw the danger of being hit by the attack and set up a wall of stone to block the attack. But what the mage didn't know was how powerful the spell really was.
The wind destroyed the wall with little resistance and continued towards its path. The mage quickly summoned another wall but it was useless as the winds once again broke right through it with ease. "Tch." The mage, releasing that creating more walls wasn't going to help, dodged the attack instead.
The attack barely missed the mage as jumped to the side, blowing off their hood and revealing the face of a girl. She had short hair and pupilless eyes. But that wasn't the shocking part. What surprised Kies were the two broken horns on her head. Since Kies didn't know of any other race that might have had horns, he instantly assumed that she was a demon. Furthermore, she looked fairly young. Why was someone as young as her doing in such a place?
Unsure of what to do since demons were supposed to be his allies, or at least that's what he thought, "Hey-" Kies tried calling out to her but was ignored. The mage wasn't interested in talking and continued attacking him with magic. Kies proceeded to be pelted wave after wave by stones. It was impossible to move so he chose to kneel down and minimize his surface area so that less would hit him. He then called upon the winds to gather in front of him to protect him from the attacks.
The winds reflected the stones, allowing Kies to focus on chanting. "Winds, heed my call and serve my will. Gather around and shelter me from the storm that ensues." A layer of wind enveloped Kies. Kies dispelled the winds in front of him and charged straight at the mage. The rocks that collided with the shell of wind all bounced off to the side. Left with no other choice but to fight, Kies ran right through the volley and once he got close enough where he was certain that his opponent wouldn't be able to evade his attack, he shot a wind javelin at her.
Kies' wind javelin hit his target, sending the mage skidding back. She stumbled a little, but after regaining her balance, resumed attacking Kies. Blood trickled down her chin but she paid no attention to it and continued fighting fiercely. The rocks all bounced harmlessly off Kies' shield and he ran forward again, launching the same attack at her.
However, the mage anticipated the attack this time and summoned a rock spike in front of her to block the attack. The winds reflected off the rocks and dispersed. The spike then shattered and the fragments all flew at Kies. The fragments all concentrated onto one spot of Kies' wind shell and pierced through it. The winds exploded in every direction, diverting the remainder of the fragments that got through elsewhere. The shockwave from the wind shell breaking knocked Kies back a little.
The mage raised her arm again but before she could chant anything, she started coughing. Blood flooded out of her mouth and she fell to the floor, holding her stomach. Kies' attack from earlier was taking its toll on her. Kies thought that the fight was over since it didn't look like she could fight anymore but the mage got up and wiped the blood off her mouth. She then opened her tome again and put her hand out. The fight wasn't going to end here.
