"I still say it's not safe," Adelaide was arguing.
This time though she wasn't arguing with just Armel. This time both Kael and Bae's father were in agreement with him.
"We don't have time to waste going around the mountains," Bae's father said, his temper rising. Bae could tell by the red colour that had taken over his face.
Adelaide looked like she wanted to say more but Bae shook her head at her. The journey through or around the mountains, whichever route they took was too long for the six of them to sit in a carriage disagreeing with each other. Adelaide's father, Avrin patted his daughter on the knee.
"I know you want to keep us safe," Bae told her elder sister earnestly, "but we really don't have time to waste. If we did, I'd do as you ask."
